I Created a Containment Object at the Start, and Became a God

92: The Abnormal Investigations Department! Rank B?”Hungry... I’m hungry...”

When these two words were hoarsely squeezed out of Jirō’s inhuman throat, accompanied by his gaze sweeping over them as if they were fish on a cutting board, Yoshiko and Senkuchi Hyakusen were scared out of their wits!

”No... don’t! Jirō! I was wrong! I truly know I was wrong!”

Yoshiko was the first to break down, tears and snot streaming down her face as she wrapped herself in a blanket, huddled in the corner of the bed, and pleaded incoherently for mercy.

”I won’t dare to do it again! I promise to live a good life with you from now on! Please don’t eat me! Don’t eat me!”

Senkuchi Hyakusen’s face was also as pale as paper, and cold sweat instantly soaked his entire body.

He suppressed his fear, trying to use promises of profit to stabilize the monster before him:

”Ji... Jirō-kun, calm down! We can talk, money! I’ll give you money! Lots and lots of money! Enough for you to pay off all your debts.

No! I’ll give you all my territory and businesses, just let me go! Just treat me like a fart and let me pass.”

However, their pleas were like stones sinking into the sea.

At this moment, Jirō’s humanity had long been completely devoured by the savage power surging from the mask and the darkness deep within his heart, leaving only the most primitive and direct desires—hunger and slaughter.

”Tap... tap... tap...”

He took heavy steps, each one causing the floor to tremble slightly, steadily approaching the large bed.

Viscous, foul-smelling drool uncontrollably slipped from the corners of his stretched mouth, dripping onto the floor and making a faint ”sizzle” of corrosion.

From his eyes and posture, Senkuchi and Yoshiko despairingly realized—this monster truly intended to eat them!

”Baka yarou! Don’t come any closer!!”

Seeing that bribery was ineffective and begging was useless, Senkuchi Hyakusen was pushed to the brink, and his savage nature was provoked.

He suddenly pulled a hidden compact handgun from the pocket of the pants tossed beside the bed, trembled as he aimed it at the steadily approaching Jirō, and roared menacingly but weakly:

”Stop! Come any closer and I’ll blow your head off!!”

Jirō’s steps paused slightly. His eyes, hidden behind the mask, coldly glanced at the small ”iron lump” in Senkuchi’s hand.

There wasn’t even a hint of contempt in his gaze, only the indifference one would show towards a harmless toy.

”Bang!!”

Senkuchi Hyakusen was completely enraged by this look, or perhaps terrified to the extreme, and he pulled the trigger.

The bullet whistled out, accurately hitting Jirō’s chest!

However—

”Clang!” A crisp sound, like hitting a thick steel plate!

The bullet struck Jirō’s dark red skin, covered in strange patterns, but failed to leave even a white mark. It was directly deflected and embedded itself in the opposite wall!

”Wh-what?!” Senkuchi Hyakusen’s eyes nearly popped out! How was this possible?!

”Bang bang bang bang bang—!!!”

Extreme fear made him lose his mind. He frantically pulled the trigger, emptying the remaining bullets in the magazine onto Jirō’s body! Chest, abdomen, even the mask!

But the result was exactly the same! All the bullets seemed to strike the hardest alloy, yielding no effect except for a few insignificant sparks and crisp impact sounds!

”Click... click...” The sound of the slide locking back signaled the crushing of his last hope.

By this time, Jirō had reached the bedside, his massive shadow completely enveloping Senkuchi Hyakusen, who was slumped on the bed.

”No... no... don’t...”

Senkuchi Hyakusen completely collapsed looking at the invulnerable demon god before him. The handgun slipped from his powerless grasp, and a foul stench came from his crotch—he had soiled himself from fear.

Jirō lowered his massive head, and the gaping, blood-red maw under the mask, split open to the earlobes and carrying a strong stench of gore, slowly opened... ”No—!!!”

Amidst Senkuchi Hyakusen’s shrill, distorted screams and Yoshiko’s hysterical shrieks, Jirō took a sudden bite, engulfing Senkuchi Hyakusen’s entire head whole!

”Crunch... crunch... squelch...”

The sickening sounds of skull shattering, muscle tearing, and liquids being compressed muffledly emanated from Jirō’s closed mouth.

Blood sprayed wildly like a fountain from the severed neck of Senkuchi’s headless body, splattering the entire headboard and ceiling, and covering Yoshiko, who was beside him.

Senkuchi Hyakusen’s headless corpse convulsed violently a few times before completely slumping motionless.

Jirō raised his head, his throat bobbing as he seemed to swallow the ”food” in his mouth.

Thick blood plasma and residual brain matter oozed from the edges of his mouth.

”Hic...” He even let out a satisfied, blood-scented burp.

Then, his cold, appetite-filled gaze slowly turned towards the woman on the bed—his former wife, Yoshiko—who was utterly stunned by the hellish scene before her, unable even to scream.

Yoshiko’s pupils were dilated to the maximum, her body rigid, like a puppet whose soul had been extracted.

While the bloody cannibalism was unfolding inside Jirō’s apartment.

A few blocks away from this residential area, five figures, swift as the wind, were rapidly leaping between rooftops, like phantoms in the night, speeding precisely toward the direction of Jirō’s home.

The five individuals were uniformly clad in specialized, dark combat uniforms bearing the Special Adjustment Department insignia. Their movements were silent, their aura refined, and their eyes sharp.

Every one of them was a true elite within the Special Adjustment Department, capable of independently handling C-Class UMA threats—the spearhead force for dealing with supernatural incidents.

The reason they appeared here was that just a few minutes ago.

The Psionic Monitoring Network deployed throughout the city had detected an extremely sudden, intense, and malicious energy burst, with the source pinpointed to this ordinary residential area.

An abnormal fluctuation of such intensity immediately triggered the highest level of alert.

The leader was a tall woman with a neat ponytail, codenamed ”Tsukuyomi.”

Her perception was the sharpest. While sprinting along the edge of a rooftop, she frowned and whispered into her communicator:

”The energy signature suddenly weakened! It’s almost imperceptible! Crow, is the target still in place?”

In the team, a young man who was small in stature, exceptionally agile, and codenamed ”Crow,” immediately closed his eyes upon hearing this. A faint, flowing light of runes flashed beneath his eyelids.

A moment later, he abruptly opened his eyes, a trace of gravity flashing within them:

”captain Tsukuyomi! The target’s energy signature is extremely contained, but... it’s still in place! Northeast direction, three hundred meters, that three-story apartment building! The location hasn’t moved.”

Tsukuyomi’s gaze instantly sharpened: ”Doctor! Can you analyze the energy nature? What kind of UMA is it?”

Another team member, ”Doctor,” carrying a large metal box and wearing thick glasses, immediately interjected. The screen of his portable instrument was scrolling wildly with data:

”Chaos! Extreme chaos! Full of negative emotions! Hatred, hunger, madness... and... an energy fluctuation never before recorded. Preliminary assessment... threat level is at least B-Class! Possibly higher!”

”B-Class?!” A team member whose physique was as sturdy as a bear’s gasped.

A B-Class UMA is already a disaster-level entity requiring the deployment of heavy equipment and multiple elite squads to handle!

”All personnel, highest alert, increase speed.” Tsukuyomi gave the order without hesitation, simultaneously increasing her speed by a third!

The five figures, like arrows shot from a bow, approached the target apartment within a few leaps.

When they silently landed on the rooftop of a building adjacent to Jirō’s apartment, the scene before them caused even the experienced team members to feel a sinking in their hearts.

They saw that in the ordinary three-story apartment building, the wall on one side of the third floor had been violently torn open, leaving a huge hole.

Broken bricks and twisted rebar were exposed, as if some massive creature had forcibly smashed its way out from the inside.

All the window glass was shattered, and the air was filled with a faint, nauseating smell of blood and an indescribable residue of corrupt energy...
