I Created a Containment Object at the Start, and Became a God

47: recall!Deep within the underground altar in the abandoned district of Qingshi Mountain, the atmosphere was drastically different from the outside world.

Three stone platforms were arranged in a triangle, and on each platform lay a woman whose abdomen was heavily swollen.

Their bellies were nearly transparent, emitting a soft, ethereal glow, and three distorted, humanoid figures could vaguely be seen wriggling inside—their forms were definitely not those of normal fetuses, but ape-like creatures with tails and reverse-jointed limbs.

Hundreds of Monkey God Cultists were prostrated on the ground, chanting ancient prayers.

Visible spiritual essence fluctuations surged through the air like a tide toward the abdomens of the three pregnant women, where they were greedily absorbed by the “Divine Fetuses.”

On the high platform, three High Priests wearing black robes embroidered with gold threads overlooked the scene.

The voice of the Grand Priest in the center trembled with excitement: “The three Monkey Gods are about to be born! We only need to wait three more days for them to break the Fetal Shell Seal and descend upon the world!”

The three slowly removed their masks, revealing typical East Asian faces. They suddenly switched to fluent Japanese, their voices filled with long-suppressed fervor:

“As long as the True Gods descend, our Great Japanese Empire will surely regain its glory!” Grand Priest Yamamoto clenched his fist excitedly.

Since three years ago, various supernatural phenomena have frequently appeared across the Japanese Archipelago.

Second Priest Tanaka whispered, “The deep-sea behemoth at Yokohama Port, the Night Parade of One Hundred Demons in Kyoto... Even Yasukuni Shrine (toilet) has experienced unknown spirit disturbances.”

“The scariest was the time at Mount Fuji...” Third Priest Sato’s voice trembled. “The Lava Giant that crawled out of the crater—the Self-Defense Forces barely managed to repel it after losing an entire Division...”

They would forever remember that rainy night thirty years ago. At the ruins of an Ancient Shrine at the foot of Mount Fuji, they discovered three buried Monkey God Statues.

Although there were no historical records, they vaguely received messages transmitted from the statues—these three Monkey Gods were Guardian Deities worshipped in ancient Japan, but all traces of their existence had been completely erased by a power of a higher echelon.

“Yamata no Orochi, Amaterasu Omikami...”

Yamamoto’s voice trembled with excitement as he spread his arms, as if to embrace the entire altar: “The Monkey Gods told us personally—Yamata no Orochi, Amaterasu Omikami, these are the true, ancient Deities of our Great Japanese Empire! They are the faith that flows in our blood!”

But immediately, a twisted expression of confusion mixed with fanaticism appeared on his face: “But... the strange thing is, we searched through all ancient texts, questioned all scholars, and even used national power to investigate... regarding these Deities, besides the names told to us by the Monkey Gods, we can’t find any specific records, no clear descriptions of their appearance, it’s as if...”

“It’s as if these memories were completely wiped away from the minds of all Japanese people and from the entire river of history by some incomprehensible force!” Tanaka interjected, his eyes gleaming with both fear and unwavering conviction.

“But we believe in the Monkey Gods!” Sato declared decisively. “They chose to manifest and guide us when we were most lost! Doesn’t this prove that our Great Japanese Empire is the Chosen People?”

The three exchanged glances, seeing the same conviction and a hint of subtle apprehension in each other’s eyes.

It wasn’t that they hadn’t doubted, but what cemented their belief was another discovery—it wasn’t just Japan; they had investigated and found that worldwide, the specific concept of “Deities” seemed to have become extremely vague and hollow.

People knew the word “God,” and knew it represented some supreme, transcendent existence, but no civilization or nation retained clear legends, images, or doctrines concerning any specific Deity.

God truly seemed to have become two dry words in a book, stripped of all substance and form.

“This is exactly what the Monkey Gods called the ’Great Annihilation’!” Yamamoto lowered his voice, excited by the possession of an ultimate secret.

“It was some unimaginable existence that erased the traces of the Old Gods! And now is the moment for our true Deities to return and reclaim dominion over the world!”

Just then, a flurry of panicked, hurried footsteps broke the solemnity of the altar.

A Japanese man dressed in the uniform of a low-ranking Monkey God Sect Priest scrambled onto the high platform, his face pale as paper, breathing so rapidly he was nearly suffocating.

“Lord Yamamoto! Lord Tanaka! Lord Sato!” He collapsed before the three High Priests, his voice distorted by extreme fear. “It’s terrible! Branch No. 7... Branch No. 7 was completely wiped out by the Bureau of Anomalous Affairs Investigation of the Dragon Country! All Sacrifices were intercepted, and the stationed cultists... none survived!”

“Nani?!” Third Priest Sato’s expression instantly changed. He abruptly looked up at the seven eerie blue lanterns hanging from The Dome of the altar—they represented the seven people who had received power granted by the Monkey God.

One of them, the lantern that originally represented the Divine Power of the “Eight-Armed Vexed Ape,” was now completely extinguished, without a trace of light.

“It’s gone out... Kinoshita-kun’s Division lantern is extinguished!” Sato’s voice held a tremor. Kinoshita was the devout cultist in charge of Branch No. 7, and also his trusted subordinate.

The three High Priests exchanged glances, seeing shock and a hint of panic in each other’s eyes. They didn’t particularly care about the casualties among the cultists; they could be replaced at any time.

But the crucial point was—the exposure and destruction of a Division by official forces meant that the location of their Main Altar might no longer be safe!

“This is terrible!” Grand Priest Yamamoto lowered his voice, his tone urgent. “At this critical moment, the Mother Body absolutely cannot be moved! Forced relocation will interrupt the supply of spiritual essence, leading to incomplete development of the Divine Fetuses or even stillbirth!”

Second Priest Tanaka anxiously rubbed his hands: “More importantly, if the Investigation Bureau follows the trail here... the Divine Fetuses in their current fragile state are completely unable to resist! If the Mother Body is killed, the Monkey Gods inside will...”

He didn’t dare speak the rest, but all three understood—if a Deity perished during the process of descent, it meant true, eternal death! All their hopes for the revival of the Empire would turn to dust.

“Activate maximum alert!” Yamamoto ordered decisively, a ruthless glint flashing in his eyes. “Recall all external forces!

Abandon all other Divisions and concentrate all power to guard the Main Altar! No matter what, we must hold out until the moment the three Lords descend!”

The cultists beneath the altar immediately sprang into action. Ancient Runes lit up one by one, and the spiritual essence fluctuations filling the air became more intense and unstable...
