I Created a Containment Object at the Start, and Became a God

1: A divine system! A rudimentary deity!”Jackie Chan!!!”

A loud bang shattered the silence of the darkness.

Lin Zhi felt as if his head had been violently struck by a hammer, and golden stars exploded before his eyes. He instinctively covered his forehead, but couldn’t feel any wound.

”What the hell is going on...” He groaned, opening his eyes to find himself lying on his back in a dark, damp alley.

The cold concrete ground sent a biting chill through his thin T-shirt, and the air was filled with the stench of garbage mixed with urine.

Lin Zhi abruptly sat up, his heart pounding wildly in his chest.

His last memory was lying on his college dorm bed, rewatching old episodes of ’Jackie Chan Adventures’ on his laptop.

Jackie Chan on the screen was fighting the Dark Hand, that beautiful spinning kick...

”Wait, did Jackie Chan kick me right out of the screen?” Lin Zhi muttered incredulously, his fingers trembling as he touched his forehead.

It did throb faintly, but there was no swelling or wound.

The only light source in the alley came from a distant, dim streetlamp, barely illuminating the surroundings.

Tall brick walls flanked him, and several overturned trash cans and broken wine bottles were scattered on the ground. This was definitely not his familiar college town.

Lin Zhi looked up at the night sky, and what he saw startled him—three moons hung conspicuously in the firmament.

One pale white, one dark red, and another glowing with an eerie greenish-blue light, like three malicious eyes coldly observing the human world.

[First, let me explain: only special beings among humans can see the three moons; ordinary people cannot, they can only see the normal one.]

”Holy crap...” Lin Zhi rubbed his eyes vigorously, then pinched his thigh hard.

The pain was despairingly real, and the three moons in the sky still hung high, their positions slightly changed.

”Where did Uncle Long’s spinning kick send me?” His voice trembled, his back drenched in cold sweat.

Moonlight, mixed with three different colored halos, spilled into the alley, painting everything in grotesque hues.

Just then, a spine-chilling chewing sound came from deeper within the alley.

Lin Zhi stiffened, slowly turning his neck towards the source of the sound—the moonlight illuminated an overturned trash can.

His pupils suddenly constricted.

A humanoid creature, about the size of a five or six-year-old child, was squatting beside a bloody, mangled corpse.

The thing had no hair on its body, its grayish-white skin covered in bruised, purplish veins, two disproportionately large eyes occupying half its face, and its mouth split all the way to the back of its head, revealing two rows of jagged fangs.

Most terrifying of all, it was still gnawing on half a human intestine, dark red blood dripping from its chin, gleaming eerily in the moonlight.

”Crunch... crunch...” The monster seemed to sense Lin Zhi’s gaze and slowly turned its head.

Its chewing stopped, the intestine dangling from the corner of its mouth, viscous liquid forming long strands.

Lin Zhi felt his bladder tighten, his legs trembling uncontrollably.

The corpse—if it could still be called a corpse—had its abdomen completely ripped open, its internal organs strewn about like rummaged garbage.

One arm was twisted at an impossible angle, its fingers still in the posture of its last struggle before death.

The monster tilted its head, then suddenly revealed a spine-chilling ”smile”—if the expression made by that mouth, split to its ears, could be called a smile.

It slowly stood up, its long, thin limbs moving awkwardly like a spider, blood-stained claws leaving sticky prints on the ground.

”Run!” Lin Zhi’s only rational thought screamed. He spun around abruptly but stumbled due to excessive fear, his back hitting the damp brick wall with a thud.

The monster let out a sharp sound, somewhere between a baby’s cry and a cat’s meow, then pushed off its hind legs, pouncing on him with astonishing speed.

Lin Zhi could even smell the mixture of blood and putrid odor rushing towards him...

Just at this critical moment—

”Ding!”

A crisp electronic sound exploded in Lin Zhi’s mind.

”Gods System, awakening successful!”

In an instant, an indescribable power erupted from Lin Zhi’s body, spreading outwards in a ring.

Visible faint golden ripples appeared in the air, and wherever they passed, the entire world seemed to be put on pause.

The grotesque monster froze mid-pounce in the air, its splashing saliva droplets suspended motionless, and even the dust floating in the air became still.

The distant streetlamp’s halo seemed frozen, and the three colors of moonlight stopped flowing at this moment.

”System?” Lin Zhi’s eyes widened, staring incredulously at the surreal scene before him. His voice was unusually clear in the dead silent alley.

”That’s right, Host has awakened the ’Gods System’. Do you wish to bind it?”

An ethereal voice, indistinguishable as male or female, directly sounded in his mind.

”Bind!” Lin Zhi said subconsciously.

”Binding successful!”

The system’s voice suddenly became clear and grand, as if echoing directly within Lin Zhi’s skull.

The next second, a flood of information surged into his mind—

[Gods System]

[Host: Lin Zhi (Compatibility: 99%)]

[Current Status: Initial Awakening]

”Ugh—!” Lin Zhi groaned, his temples throbbing, and the world before his eyes began to twist and spin.

His body trembled uncontrollably, and fine, faint golden patterns, like ancient runes, appeared on his skin, flowing.

Even more bizarrely, his figure began to blur, as if countless afterimages were overlapping and flickering, sometimes solid, sometimes illusory, like a projection with bad signal.

Excruciating pain surged like a tide, and Lin Zhi fell to his knees, his ten fingers digging deeply into the concrete ground.

His vision was filled with flickering data streams, and the mechanical voice of the system echoed in his ears.

”Stop... stop it...” he growled through gritted teeth.
