The World's Richest Man: Start with the Daily Intelligence System

53: Chapter 53 Fully ResurrectedGritting his teeth to finish the last pull-up, Zhang Wei completed today’s personal training session.

Sun Yicheng handed him a towel. ”Zhang Wei, you’re in great shape today. I was actually worried that today’s lesson might be too difficult.”

”Never underestimate a man.” After saying this, Zhang Wei muttered to himself, ”How can a man ever say he can’t do it?”

”By the way, if you’re free, could you accompany me to the mall today? I’m looking to buy some winter clothes, but I don’t have anyone to help me pick them out.” Zhang Wei invited her to go shopping.

Sun Yicheng tapped her chin, feigning thought. ”Shopping is fine, but there must be a reward. How about you treat me to a cup of coffee?”

Zhang Wei would be a fool to refuse. He returned to the locker room, took a shower, and changed into clean clothes. The two of them then drove to the mall.

Zhang Wei specifically chose the Riverside Mall, mainly because a piece of intelligence today indicated that there was a 20,000-yuan scratch-off ticket at this mall. Naturally, Zhang Wei couldn’t miss it.

The Riverside Mall had just opened for business last year. Located along the banks of the Huangpu River, it occupied a prime location. The interior decor was primarily modern, accented with quite a few artistic sculptures.

The two of them first browsed a few men’s clothing stores. While asking a girl out shopping was part of the reason, he really didn’t have any decent winter clothes. Now that he had over eight million in his hands, he had to dress a bit better, didn’t he?

After buying a few pieces of sportswear and casual wear, they happened to arrive at a lottery outlet.

Zhang Wei suddenly had an idea. He said to Sun Yicheng beside him, ”Do you dare play a game?”

Sun Yicheng didn’t suspect a thing. ”What kind of game? Tell me about it.”

”We’ll each buy a scratch-off ticket at the lottery outlet. Whoever scratches off the larger amount gets to make the other person agree to one condition unconditionally. How about it?”

If Liu Haorui were here, he would definitely stop Sun Yicheng and complain furiously. This guy was actually using the same trick to hit on girls. He was simply not human.

Sun Yicheng blinked. ”You seem very confident? Then I’ll compete with you. But I’ll tell you in advance, my luck has always been quite good.”

Zhang Wei laughed heartily. ”What a coincidence, who isn’t a lucky boy these days?” After saying this, he went to the counter and bought the scratch-off ticket indicated by the intelligence. Sun Yicheng also picked one out.

After paying, he took out a coin. Zhang Wei smiled and said, ”The God of Gamblers usually reveals his cards last. Ladies first, you scratch yours first.”

Sun Yicheng took the coin and started scratching. Unexpectedly, she really had good luck; the 30-yuan ticket revealed a prize of 200 yuan.

She looked at Zhang Wei triumphantly and smiled. ”I have to think about what I should make you do. How about swimming a lap in the Huangpu River? Think of it as exercise.”

Zhang Wei was speechless. A round trip in the Huangpu River was seven or eight kilometers; this was practically asking for his life.

”Don’t celebrate too early.” With a cheating system, he was essentially invincible.

”Let me see how much you scratched? Oh my, you won twenty thousand?” Sun Yicheng lost her composure and exclaimed while covering her small mouth.

The customers nearby all looked over. Winning a few hundred was common, but no one had ever seen someone win twenty thousand. Everyone stood by, marveling at how lucky the young man was.

Zhang Wei shrugged and handed the lottery ticket directly to the staff member. ”Can I redeem this 20,000-yuan prize here directly?”

”Yes, sir. Our outlet can redeem prizes under one hundred thousand on the spot. Can I transfer it to your Alipay?”

Zhang Wei nodded, and in a short while, his phone notified him that he had received the twenty thousand yuan.

Turning to look at Sun Yicheng, Zhang Wei suddenly raised his right hand and pinched her chin. ”What do you think I should make you agree to?”

A faint blush appeared on Sun Yicheng’s face. She smiled enigmatically and said, ”Well, I lost. I’m a good sport. I’ll listen to whatever you say.”

Half an hour later, inside a bar in the City Name.

There was no noisy clamor. Melodious music played from the massive bar counter. At this moment, Zhang Wei and Sun Yicheng sat side by side on the sofa.

”So your request is just for me to accompany you for a drink?” Sun Yicheng still couldn’t believe it. She had thought he would make some excessive demands, though she had a good impression of Zhang Wei and wouldn’t have been opposed to it.

Zhang Wei took a sip of his drink. ”It was just a little game. I can’t bring myself to take advantage of someone.”

He had been in relationships before, and he was reasonably good-looking. In high school, he wasn’t short of girls chasing him. If he rashly suggested sleeping with her and got rejected, it would be hard to succeed later. Picking up girls was like fishing; you had to be patient. Constant tension and release was the right way.

Sun Yicheng looked into Zhang Wei’s eyes with a bit more of a smile. ”By the way, I also want to thank you for the bag you bought me.” While they were shopping earlier, she had taken a liking to a bag, and Zhang Wei had paid for it without a word.

”It wasn’t a gift from me,” Zhang Wei waved his hand. ”I think the reason I was able to win today was because I shared your good luck. Consider it a small token of my gratitude.”

The two of them drank and chatted idly like this, the atmosphere feeling very subtle.

It wasn’t until late at night that they left the bar. Zhang Wei called a designated driver to take them to the residential complex where Sun Yicheng lived.

After the designated driver left, Zhang Wei brazenly said, ”I’m really a bit thirsty after drinking. How about I go up and sit for a while?”

Sun Yicheng was somewhat bewildered and infatuated at this moment. She gave a dazed smile and pulled Zhang Wei’s hand as they got out of the car.

The two arrived at Sun Yicheng’s home. Zhang Wei didn’t say a word, staring straight at Sun Yicheng. A strange atmosphere began to permeate the room.

The next one hundred thousand words are omitted.

The first ray of morning sunlight shone into the room.

Zhang Wei got up, took a bottle of water from the table, and drank it all in one go.

The woman on the bed also sat up, her beautiful figure like a work of art. It made Zhang Wei feel stirred up again.

However, this wasn’t a good time. His own body was faintly trembling in protest; he had to admit that girls who work out have great stamina.

Zhang Wei smiled bitterly. ”I feel like I won’t be able to focus on working out during personal training sessions anymore.”

Sun Yicheng rolled her eyes at him. ”That’s not what you thought last night. Who was the one constantly calling out ’Coach’?”

Zhang Wei laughed awkwardly. Yesterday was indeed quite different from his usual self.

After eating breakfast downstairs, both of them tacitly avoided mentioning their relationship. Although they had mutual feelings, Zhang Wei felt it was best to keep their relationship as it was for now; after his previous breakup, he didn’t want to start a new relationship so quickly.

After parting ways with Sun Yicheng, Zhang Wei planned to go back to Jiangnan Garden to catch up on sleep. As soon as he walked in, he saw An Xiaoxi sitting at the dining table, looking at him.

Zhang Wei inexplicably felt a bit guilty. What was with this atmosphere of being caught red-handed for not coming home all night?
