Chenhui Building, level 9, Caiwei Entertainment, in the recording studio.

Ling Xiaoyi started with the introduction. “This program is brought to you by…”

A lackey with a deeper voice continued, “Prodigal League…” Followed by Hong Dali: “I want to spend freely, I want to squander!”

Ling Xiaoyi continued, “And also…”

The same lackey said, “Tang’s Pharmaceutical…” And then it was Tang Muxin’s turn: “Don’t stop taking the medication!”

With the closure done by Ling Xiaoyi: “Sponsored and broadcasted.”

After the introduction, a group of people around were rolling on the floor laughing. Zhang Cai could not even lift her head. Li Nianwei covered her mouth as she giggled. Even Tang Muxin, who had just finished reading her line, could not stop laughing.

Ling Xiaoyi, who was the leader of the lackeys, could not hold back any longer and burst out laughing. “Young Master is too good at playing tricks. I’m certain that before the movie even starts, the introduction will send everyone into fits of laughter.”

Tang Muxin: “I have just realized how talented Dali is at making others laugh. Hahaha, it’s too funny.”

At this moment, Hong Dali maintained his dorky expression while looking at the laughing staff members. “It was just a few lines, was it really so funny? I’m not well-read, don’t laugh just to appease me!”

Tang Muxin tried to catch her breath while laughing. “No, no. Hong Dachui. Oh, no. Wang Dali. Oh, no. Hong Dali, what should we do next? The introductory lines are done. Is it time for the title song?”

“That’s right!” Hong Dali started to sing: “Everyone, sing with me. Unexpectedly, my principles are gone…”

“Unexpectedly, my principles are gone!”

Right after singing this verse, everyone started laughing again.

“Alright.” Hong Dali shrugged his shoulders, defeated. “I must be doing something wrong. You’re all too easily amused.”

Another round of laughter ensued.

Finally, the big sister Li Nianwei spoke up: “Okay. Stop laughing everyone. Let’s hear the Young Master’s script. We will record what we can now. Young Master did say that we will be broadcasting one episode per week.”

“Yes, yes, yes. Everyone gather around.” A group of people gathered joyfully beside Hong Dali. Hong Dali coughed and cleared his throat, then spoke with a serious tone, “This episode is named Low-Cost Martial Arts Drama. It tells a story about a beautiful princess who was captured by the demon king. The male lead is a hero who is full of justice and saved the princess.”

After hearing Hong Dali summarize the storyline, Tang Muxin doubtfully said, “There’s… nothing special about this. There are many martial arts movies and dramas with similar plots.”

The others nodded their heads in unison.

Hong Dali nodded too. “That’s right.”

He admitted shamelessly!

Hong Dali continued, “At the beginning, my lines are ‘My name is Dang Dachui, and I’m an actor. I’m currently starring in a Low-Cost Martial Arts Drama.’” As he spoke, his mouth was slightly ajar, his eyes dazed, and expressionless. Together with his lines, it created a comical scene.

Tang Muxin held in her laughter and asked, “And?”

Hong Dali held up the plastic sword. “And? This is my weapon!”

Everyone was shocked. So was Tang Muxin. “Dali, you didn’t squander this time. You didn’t get an antique sword that costs hundreds of thousands?”

Hong Dali looked at Tang Muxin. “That’s right. My next line is ‘This is too low-budget. This is just a toy sword!?’” Hong Dali started to imitate the sound of the weapon illuminating. “Ding! At a time like this, we need cool special effects. The sword must shimmer and illuminate! Then I will say, ‘This sword is too lousy, yet it shines and illuminates?’”

As he spoke, he swung the sword about. It was not a tough movie to make. A few lines were enough to send the audience into bouts of laughter. Hong Dali called out a lackey with a soft voice to prance around while pinching his throat and read out the lines: “I have no regrets in my career. When I thought about running under the sunset that day, it was just like my youth fading away…” Everyone was rolling on the floor laughing. Some could not even pick themselves up. Even the gentle and elegant big-sister-like Li Nianwei was laughing while covering her mouth.

When Hong Dali had finished describing the contents of the episode, Tang Muxin’s eyes lit up like a 200-volt lightbulb. She grabbed and shook Hong Dali’s arm. “Chuichui, can we come here every day after school to film this movie? Can we? Can we? Can we?”

Her delicate voice charmed everyone.

Seems like I will have to change my name to Chuichui… There was no way Hong Dali could resist Tang Muxin’s gentle voice. He surrendered decisively. “Okay, okay, okay. We will come here after school every day. Just that this doesn’t allow me to squander much.” Hong Dali couldn’t squander much with this movie even if he tried. That made Hong Dali very concerned. Thankfully, there was still The Gale Flash and Zhong Dian website to count on. He would have to think of a few more ideas on the gale flash to squander fifteen million in one month; it should be easy. Hong Dali expressed satisfaction in his thoughts.

Just at this moment, Li Nianwei softly asked, “Young Master, we know the plot now. Where will be the shooting the scenes? Since it’s to be a martial arts drama, we can’t film it here, right?”

Shooting scenes? Hong Dali rubbed his chin in deep thought. Ling Xiaoyi, who was standing beside, reminded him. “Young Master, how about the mountain beside Fengyuan Lake? That should work.”

Fengyuan Lake. There are mountains and water, and the scenery is nice and quiet. It’s indeed a good place.

“Ah, that place…” Hong Dali was about to agree when a thought flashed by his mind. “No way! How could I miss such a chance to squander! I recall the mountain near Fengyuan Lake is just a stone’s throw from the outer ring of Tianjing Mountain…” Hong Dali suddenly said, “I have decided! We will look for a good place!”

“Where?!” The surrounding people were curious.

“On the outer ring of Tianjing Mountain!” Hong Dali laughed heartily. “There are not many chances to squander for this micro movie. Let’s do it from the shooting scene! I have decided. Let’s buy the land outside of Tianjing Mountain, and set it up so that it’s suitable for our filming. In the future, we will use that place for Unexpectedly! ”

“Oh my god…” Tang Muxin covered her face. “You’re going to spend millions, or even tens of millions to buy a piece of land just to make a micro movie that costs barely hundreds of thousands?!” It’s no wonder Tang Muxin was upset. To rent the mountain would only cost tens of thousand for a whole year. But it was a different matter entirely to purchase it. It would take at least hundreds of thousands to buy Tianjing Mountain since it was near the city.

To make such a big decision just to make a micro movie that cost mere hundreds of thousands, especially to purchase a mountain that could not be developed, was really an extravagant move to squander!

“That’s right!” Hong Dali laughed. “We shall do just that! Xiaoyi, I don’t care how you do it, but that mountain belongs to me in future!”
