Rebirth of the Godly Prodigal

West fourth loop, Hung Lung Hotel.

Hong Dali, who just returned from Chenhui Building, was laying on a couch made of Chinese redbud wood, humming to himself and fishing at the newly dug pond.

Come to think of it, I was so occupied with other stuff these few days that I had totally forgotten about this hotel. Now that I remembered, it was indeed a good decision to come here. I can come here to fish, drink some beverages, and ask two female lackeys to massage my leg while doing it. What a pleasurable experience, brouhaha!

The pond was quite well built. It was 30 meters deep, surrounded by large rocks, and exuded an ancient feeling. A water circulation system was installed, and at the center was a three-meter tall waterfall. Coupled with a few slow-paced songs sang by Li Nianwei, it was undoubtedly a high-class experience fishing here.

Ling Xiaoyi came to Hong Dali’s side and softly asked, “Young Master, the sales performance of this place for these few days have been calculated. Would you like to take a look? It seems to be doing quite well.”

Hong Dali snorted. “No, just roughly tell me the result. I will just listen.”

“OK.” Being Hong Dali’s private housekeeper, Ling Xiaoyi naturally knew how to report things like this smoothly. “Currently, the gross profit per day for Hung Lung Hotel is about 16,000 yuan. Out of this, 7% came from ‘Who listens as the plum flowers fall to the jade flute’s tune,’ while ‘Fine Match Soup’ takes up… takes up… 34%.”

Hong Dali felt puzzled. “Oh? These two dishes made so much money?”

Ling Xiaoyi smiled and said, “I’m surprised as well. ‘Who listens as the plum flowers fall to the jade flute’s tune’ attracted many customers’ attention because its name sounds nice. As for ‘Fine Match Soup’…” This time, Ling Xiaoyi was really impressed with Hong Dali. “It’s because the story behind its name that you told us about was quite interesting. Therefore, many young people nearby who wish to be in a relationship came here to have a bowl of ‘Fine Match Soup.’ This is especially suitable for those young men who wish to confess but are not good with words. Under normal circumstances, after hearing the story about ‘Fine Match Soup,’ if the lady does not dislike the guy, she will drink the soup to show that she has accepted him. Therefore, ‘Fine Match Soup’ is quite well-known in the vicinity. Even though it costs 58 yuan per bowl, the supply still can’t keep up with the demand.”

“Oh…” Hong Dali touched his chin. My recipe for prodigals is actually so awesome? He suddenly asked, “Xiaoyi, who came up with the idea to promote ‘Fine Match Soup’ using this method?”

Ling Xiaoyi replied, “It was the lobby manager’s idea.”

“En, he’s quite capable.” Hong Dali directly waved his hand and said, “From now on, he shall be the general manager here.”

“O… OK.” Ling Xiaoyi wiped off her cold sweat. “Young Master, someone was asking to see you just now. He said he has a business to talk about with you.”

Hong Dali declined without a second thought. “No, I’m not seeing him. Can’t you see that I’m fishing? I don’t have the time to waste right now.”

“Er…” Ling Xiaoyi was dazed for a while before saying, “He says his business will need to spend a lot of money…”

“Really!?” Hong Dali’s spirits were immediately raised. Spending money is good. I’m just waiting for opportunities to spend money to earn some attribute points and to complete the mission right now. Such a good thing actually delivered itself to my doorstep? Hong Dali threw the fishing rod aside and said, “Ask him to come over!”

Shortly after, an impeccably attired middle-aged man carrying a briefcase walked over. He seemed to be about 40 years of age, was quite good-looking, and had hair combed to the point it shined—to the extent that a fly may slip and break its leg. Upon coming over, he bowed and said, “Greetings, Young Master Dali. I’m the general manager of Westwood Advertising. My name is Zhang Wuyang. Here is my name card.” Saying so, he opened his briefcase, took out a name card, and passed it to Hong Dali.

Hong Dali didn’t even take a look. He just placed it aside and asked, “You said you have a business proposition to discuss with me, so what it is? How much money will it cost?”

“Ok, continue.” Hong Dali took a mouthful of his beverage. “How much will it cost?”

“Ah, we have divided the membership into nine different levels. The amount they need to invest and earn differs according to the different levels.” Zhang Wuyang explained in detail. “For a level one VIP membership, they only need to invest 200 yuan. Every month, they will receive 30 yuan. Therefore, after seven months, the money they receive will be pure profit. As for level two VIP membership, they need to invest 1,000 yuan and receive 160 yuan per month. Of course, the amount of investment needed for the first few levels is too low to suit your status. Starting from level seven, the amount of investment needed will increase drastically. For level seven, invest 300,000 yuan and receive 60,000 yuan per month. For level eight, invest one million yuan to receive 240,000 per month. As for the highest level, level nine, invest three million yuan to receive one million yuan per month.”

Speaking to this point, Zhang Wuyang took out a small notebook and placed it in front of Hong Dali. “Young Master Dali, this is our website. Please take a look. The business service and others are all inside.”

“Yep, this seems quite interesting.” Hong Dali played around for a while and mumbled. “Invest three million and receive one million per month? Is there a limit to how many months we will be receiving money?”

“There is no time limit, it is a lifelong membership for the highest leveled members.” Zhang Wuyang hurriedly explained.

“Where is this business service?” Hong Dali searched the website for quite a while. “How come I can’t find it?”

“You’re right, there isn’t much harm in that.” Hong Dali snapped his fingers at the two male lackeys standing nearby. “The two of you, come here.”

The two male lackeys hurriedly came over. “Young Master, what’s the matter?”

Hong Dali sniffed and said, “Drag this fellow out and break his doglegs.”

The male lackey standing on the left gave a cold smile and looked at Zhang Wuyang’s left leg, then looked at his right leg. He excitedly squeezed his fist, made crack sounds and asked, “Young Master, how many legs should we break?”

“Three.” Hong Dali directly instructed.

Zhang Wuyang immediately broke out in cold sweat. As he was begin dragged out, he continuously shouted: “You can’t do this. Why do you want to beat me up? I’m here to make a business proposition! To make a business proposition!”

“This idiot.” Hong Dali laughed. “I may be a prodigal, but I’m not a moron. Even if he wants to bluff me, he should at least come up with something more professional.”

Xiaoyi was secretly laughing at the side. Those that think Young Master is a moron, they have all had their legs broken so far.
