Tian Hongqing: “Regarding the planning of the concert, I asked around and gathered information. The following are my findings. Don’t be anxious and let me go through them one by one.”

Host: “Yes, I believe our viewers will be very interested.”

Tian Hongqing: “First, according to the rumors that first started, it seemed like Miss Li Nianwei first appeared at Tianjing City’s West Four Loop’s Ye Lai Xiang nightclub and sang two songs.”

Host: “Um, this was made known on the internet. But Professor Tian, as you mentioned—’seemed like.’ Do you mean that there is other insider information that our viewers are not aware of?”

Tian Hongqing: “Yes, through my analysis and findings, even I am shocked by the conclusion. The planning team behind Li Nianwei started long before she sang at Ye Lai Xiang nightclub.”

Host: “Really?”

Tian Hongqing: “Yes, this god-level planning team had first made Ye Lai Xiang free for a week. Everything was free of charge. This aroused the curiosity of countless people. As everyone knows, people are often curious about free things. This is a psychological phenomenon. And this god-level planning team took advantage of this phenomenon. I’m sure you understand this.”

Host: “I understand. Where there are free things, there will be people. What happened after?”

Tian Hongqing: “After having fun at the nightclub for free for two days, as everyone can imagine, the nightclub was bustling with popularity. There was hardly any space for more people to stand in the nightclub. What does this mean? It means that the first step of gathering the crowd had been achieved. From my findings, I’m able to conclude this part of the plan cost about 500,000 yuan.”

Host: “Five hundred thousand yuan is able to gather such a level of popularity?”

Tian Hongqing: “Which is why they deserve to be called a god-level planning team. Five hundred thousand yuan to lay the foundation. Right at this moment, the show started. The day when Miss Li Nianwei made her appearance, there were as many as forty luxury sports cars just to provide lighting for the concert. What does it mean to have luxury cars? It means that it will attract people’s attention. Normally, when a luxury car appears, people will take a second glance at it. Not to mention forty luxury cars appearing all at once.”

Host: “Yes, yes. That’s inevitable. Even if it were me, if I saw so many luxury cars, I would be curious about what’s going on.”

Tian Hongqing: “That’s right. Think about this. With so many luxury cars at the entrance, plus everything in the nightclub being free, any normal person would want to go in and find out what’s going on. Even if they couldn’t go in, they would try and find out from the crowd about the situation inside. Am I right?”

Host: “Um, indeed. People in the Heavenly State love lively scenes. The planning team was able to use that to their advantage.”

Tian Hongqing: “Yes. The foundation of popularity has been gained. But don’t underestimate this popularity. As we all know, Miss Li Nianwei is very good at singing. To sing at a venue like this would gather countless fans. Then comes the main and most important point of the plan.”

Host: “Um, please continue.”

Tian Hongqing: “With the basic popularity, the planning team announced Li Nianwei’s free concert almost immediately. What does this imply? It means that those people who experienced Miss Li Nianwei sing at Ye Lai Xiang nightclub would promote for her. Think about it—free of charge, good songs—it’s very attractive in itself. Then there is the concert. It would have been boring if no one attended it. All the people who were at Ye Lai Xiang invited everyone they knew. There should be around two thousand people at Ye Lai Xiang at that moment. For each one of them to bring three or four people to the concert, that shouldn’t be a problem. How many people would there be?”

Host: “I’m suddenly enlightened by your words. That would make almost ten thousand people!”

Tian Hongqing: “That’s right. You see, that’s a guaranteed crowd of at least ten thousand people. As the saying goes, three people spreading reports of a tiger would make you believe there is one around. In addition to the leaflets that the planning team gave out, the news spread from mouth to mouth. There was no need to worry about popularity. There was another benefit to this. Without these people spreading the news, who would believe the concert was free?”

Host: “That’s true. It’s a big deal that the concert is free of charge. The average person would not believe it.”

Tian Hongqing: “Which is why, with these people around, there would be no problem gathering the crowd. One more thing that the planning team did right was focusing the promotion of the publicity on the people in Tianjing City, West Four Loops. The stadium where Miss Li Nianwei held her concert was in the West Four Loops. A free concert where popularity was guaranteed. The result was obvious.”

Host: “Oh yes, that’s right! People may like free things, but if the publicity is too far, people who are not aware of Miss Li Nianwei’s popularity might not come all the way to listen to her. But the locals are different. It is free, after all; there’s nothing to lose.”

Tian Hongqing: “Yes. This god-level planning team is good at capturing people’s mind. Before the concert had even started, there was a guaranteed turn-up of tens of thousands. With the scale of the concert, it was only right for it to catch people’s attention. That’s not the most impressive thing about the planning team, however. It’s the lighting that struck me the most.”

Host: “Oh yes, yes. The creativity behind those lights was simply amazing. Using the headlights of sports cars worth more than 30 million as stage lighting. This must be the most creative and extravagant idea in history.”

At this moment, the host suddenly took out a card from his pocket. “We have especially gotten the phone number belonging to the leader of the planning team for this live broadcast. Now, let us give this leader a call and find out how they came out with such a fabulous idea.”

While the host spoke, he picked up a telephone and pressed the speaker button before dialing the number on the card.

A gentle female voice spoke from the end of the line: “Hello, may I know who is this…?”

Host: “Hello, this is Tianjing Variety Channel. I’m the host, and my name is Wang Yong. Can I speak to Mr. Hong please?”

The female voice answered: “May I know what this is regarding?”

Host: “It’s like this, we would like to ask Mr. Hong a few questions. How did he come up with the idea of using the headlights of sports cars for the stage lighting for Miss Li Nianwei’s concert?”

The female voice answered: “Oh, okay. Please hold on for a moment.” “Young Master, someone called from the TV station. They wish to ask about the concert lighting.”

The host and Tian Hongqing held their breath as they waited for the response.

An impatient voice sounded over the phone: “Quit playing. I’m busy walking the dogs.” Klurp. The line was cut!
