Build a Fifty-meter Giant Mecha at the Beginning!

76: Mountain City Military Base Transformed into Research BaseThe Top Leader also saw Yang Aiguo outside the door. ”Old Yang, why are you here? Aren’t you guarding your Air Force’s research base today?”

The Top Leader and Old Wang were slightly surprised by Yang Aiguo’s arrival. Ever since they obtained the design blueprints for the Yuanhang-2 Engine from Zhang Yuanhang, Yang Aiguo had moved his office directly to the Air Force’s research base.

He worked there while keeping a close eye on the scientific researchers, hoping they could quickly modify the Yuanhang-2 Engine and apply it to the h-20.

”Our people have successfully modified the Yuanhang-2 Engine, and the h-20 has already had a successful test flight.”

”The results are excellent, even more than ten times better than we expected,” Yang Aiguo said excitedly.

From today onwards, the Huaxia Air Force would have its own heavy stealth bomber.

”Excellent, excellent,” The Top Leader and Old Wang nodded in unison.

If it were before, the two would have rushed to Yang Aiguo’s side to inquire about the h-20’s situation. But compared to Zhang Yuanhang’s Aerospace Fighter, the h-20 was a bit inferior.

Yang Aiguo looked at The Top Leader and Old Wang’s expressions, feeling speechless. Who would have thought that the h-20, which their Air Force had rushed out with overtime work, would become a ’cow lady’ before it even had a day as a ’sweetheart’?

”Leader, is Comrade Xiao Zhang in Shancheng right now?” Yang Aiguo asked.

The Top Leader nodded.

”Good, then I’ll be leaving, Leader!” Yang Aiguo turned and left without another word. He needed to rush to Shancheng now.

Aerospace Fighter, here I come!!!

”Old Yang must be extremely excited right now!” Old Wang said playfully, looking at Yang Aiguo’s rapidly departing back.

”Indeed,” The Top Leader also nodded. ”If you and I were the Air Force Commander, hearing this good news wouldn’t make us any less excited than him.”

Old Wang deeply agreed.

Because once Zhang Yuanhang developed the Aerospace Fighter, the history of the Huaxia Air Force could be directly divided into two periods.

Before, it was a struggle to catch up with Eagle-chan. After Zhang Yuanhang’s Aerospace Fighter comes out, it will be about surpassing Eagle-chan to become the strongest Air Force on Blue Star.

After all, by then, they would still be playing in the atmosphere, while we would already be playing in Space.

They are not even on the same level.

Shancheng.

At this time, all departments were busy.

Because Zhang Yuanhang needed many things to build the Aerospace Fighter, all departments cooperated fully to ensure everything was provided.

Seeing Huaxia making new moves, spies from various countries lurking in Shancheng could only watch helplessly.

Because the Mechs newly produced by the Mech production line were transferred to Shancheng Military Base to protect Zhang Yuanhang.

With the painful lessons from Eagle-chan before, spies from these countries dared not approach Shancheng Military Base.

In addition, the security forces in Shancheng were now no weaker than those in the Capital. If they acted recklessly, they would immediately be caught.

Inside the Military Base.

The Shancheng Military Base could no longer be called just a military base. To keep Zhang Yuanhang in Shancheng, the Shancheng Leaders purchased a lot of equipment at high prices.

At this time, the military base was more like a research base, with the only difference from an ordinary research base being the large number of troops stationed outside.

They were protecting Zhang Yuanhang’s life and safety.

Today, Shancheng Military Base also welcomed many new members.

Because Zhang Yuanhang was about to start researching and manufacturing the Aerospace Fighter, the official government transferred many scientific researchers, and the Shancheng government also sent all clean and problem-free researchers from the city.

This included a considerable number of graduates from Shancheng University of Science and Technology. After all, Zhang Yuanhang also graduated from Shancheng University of Science and Technology, so the government still had to show some respect and took care of them.

The government hoped that while these people helped with research, they could also learn things and contribute to Huaxia’s scientific research edifice.

Among the crowd were two familiar figures. The two pushed their suitcases, hand in hand, and strode into the heavily guarded Shancheng Military Base.

”Ya Xin, I didn’t expect us to still be together, and to be able to work in such a good place.”

”Did you see on the way here? This place is so heavily guarded, there are even Pangu Mechs developed by Zhang Yuanhang on patrol.”

Guan Ya, holding Li Yaxin’s hand, showed a hint of excitement in her eyes.

Originally, she was about to be separated from Li Yaxin to go to a research base in the Northwest, but then she received a notice from the school asking if she was willing to stay in Shancheng.

”Yes, I wonder if Zhang Yuanhang is here?”

Ever since Li Yaxin learned that Zhang Yuanhang had invented the Pangu Mech, she wanted to have a good talk with Zhang Yuanhang, but her calls and messages to Zhang Yuanhang all sank into the sea as usual.

”Guan Ya, Li Yaxin, you two are here too! I thought I wouldn’t see you after graduation.”

At this moment, a dozen people also ran over quickly, dragging their suitcases.

”I just saw so many graduates from our school!”

”That’s right, even Song Jiang, the school heartthrob, is here. You know his parents had arranged for him to go to a research base in the Capital. I wonder how he ended up here.”

...Everyone turned their heads to look, and sure enough, they saw Song Jiang dragging his suitcase and entering Shancheng Military Base.

Guan Ya was curious why Song Jiang gave up the research base in the Capital and chose to come here. She jogged over to Song Jiang, ”Song Jiang, why did you give up the research base in the Capital and come here? What were you thinking? Did your brain get waterlogged?”

”Guan Ya.”

Li Yaxin tugged at her best friend. Is that how you ask questions?

”My brain got waterlogged?”

”Have you ever seen any research base in the country with Pangu Mechs standing guard, and with so many troops stationed outside?”

Originally, Song Jiang didn’t understand why his father wanted him to give up the opportunity to go to the Capital’s research base and choose to come here, to this Shancheng Military Base.

It wasn’t until his father told him that Zhang Yuanhang was doing research here.

Instantly, Song Jiang understood and immediately gave up the opportunity in the Capital, choosing to stay in Shancheng. Working in the Capital was not as good as working by Zhang Yuanhang’s side.

Following the Father of Mechs, as long as he worked hard, he would definitely learn things.

Song Jiang looked at his schoolmates and sighed, ”It seems the elders were right, fools have their blessings.”

After speaking, he rolled his eyes at everyone and left.

”Hey, hey, what did you just say!” Guan Ya shouted, looking at Song Jiang’s retreating back. Just as she was about to continue speaking loudly, two soldiers with rifles walked over.

”Comrade, please keep quiet, otherwise we have the right to take you away.” The two soldiers’ cold tone made Guan Ya shiver.

”Sorry, sorry.” Li Yaxin immediately pulled the stunned Guan Ya and quickly left.

The rest of the people also hurried to follow suit.

Soon, Li Yaxin and the others overtook Song Jiang. Looking at Song Jiang, Li Yaxin stopped. Li Yaxin felt that Song Jiang seemed to know something.

”Comrade Song Jiang, do you know something?”

”If it’s convenient, could you tell us a thing or two, so we don’t make any mistakes here?”

Li Yaxin said apologetically.

”Yes, Comrade Song Jiang, please help us.”

”Since we’re all from the same school, please give us a hint.”

”We’re all from the same school, just tell us.”

...The rest of the people looked at Song Jiang with pitiful eyes. They had finally managed to get into this extraordinary research base and didn’t want to be kicked out one day for no clear reason.

Song Jiang looked at everyone.

”Comrade Zhang Yuanhang is doing research here.”

After saying that, Song Jiang turned and left, no longer paying attention to these people.

”What!”

”My goodness, I’m going to be successful! I’m actually in the same research base as Zhang Yuanhang!”

”I originally thought Zhang Yuanhang had already gone to a research base in the Capital, but I didn’t expect him to still be in Shancheng.”

...Everyone was overjoyed.
