Build a Fifty-meter Giant Mecha at the Beginning!

56: Give China’s top leader a shockAfter Trump finished speaking, he waved his hand, allowing Ike to leave.

Seeing that Trump was no longer pressing for answers, Ike breathed a deep sigh of relief. If Trump had asked him for a deadline just now, he would have been truly embarrassed.

At the same time.

China’s Top Leader arrived at Shancheng Military Base in his private jet.

However, the news of China’s Top Leader’s arrival in Shancheng was not known to outsiders. Even the Eagle Nation’s spies, who were constantly monitoring Shancheng Military Base, did not know that China’s Top Leader had personally come here.

”Leader, you’ve arrived.”

Academician Wang led Leader Jia to personally greet China’s Top Leader.

”Old Wang, what exactly has Comrade Xiao Zhang invented? You had to make me come see it myself,” China’s Top Leader said jokingly.

”Leader, just follow me,” Academician Wang said mysteriously, then turned to Leader Jia, ”Are Lin Yun and Comrade Xiao Zhang ready?”

Leader Jia nodded, ”They are ready. We can go now.”

At this moment, Lin Yun had already boarded the mecha, preparing to demonstrate the Laser Cannon and Electromagnetic Oscillation Cannon to China’s Top Leader. Zhang Yuanhang also took out the control tablet, ready to let everyone witness all the mecha’s functions.

”Alright, then let’s go see Comrade Xiao Zhang’s masterpiece.”

China’s Top Leader’s eyes were filled with anticipation, curious about what Zhang Yuanhang had developed.

”Leader, please follow me.”

Leader Jia personally led China’s Top Leader to the experimental wasteland. To give China’s Top Leader an intuitive understanding of the mecha’s ’new weapon,’ the Electromagnetic Oscillation Cannon.

Lin Yun and the others had worked through the night to lay a twenty-centimeter layer of quick-drying cement on the wasteland, reinforced with a large number of steel bars three to four centimeters in diameter.

As China’s Top Leader and his entourage gradually approached, Zhang Yuanhang also saw China’s Top Leader, whom he had previously only seen on television.

For a moment, Zhang Yuanhang felt a slight nervousness.

Seeing Zhang Yuanhang’s slight reaction, Academician Wu, Academician Sun, and Academician Zhao exchanged glances. Only at this moment did the three of them feel that Zhang Yuanhang was a young man.

”Hello, young man. You are Zhang Yuanhang, Comrade Xiao Zhang, right?”

China’s Top Leader came before Zhang Yuanhang and extended his hand.

Zhang Yuanhang immediately reached out and shook hands with China’s Top Leader, ”Yes, Leader, I am Zhang Yuanhang.”

”Comrade Xiao Zhang, on behalf of the Chinese people, I thank you here.”

China’s Top Leader took a few steps back and bowed to Zhang Yuanhang.

”Leader, I don’t deserve this!” Zhang Yuanhang immediately jumped aside, waving his hands frantically, ”As a Chinese person, it’s my duty to contribute a bit of technology to the motherland, and the motherland has also given me corresponding compensation.”

China’s Top Leader looked at Zhang Yuanhang and thought to himself: This child is good!!!

”Xiao Zhang, it is precisely because our ancestors had this spirit of contribution that we have the China of today!”

”You are very good!”

China’s Top Leader gave Zhang Yuanhang a thumbs-up.

Everyone present looked at Zhang Yuanhang with envy. In their memory, China’s Top Leader had never given such an evaluation to anyone.

Zhang Yuanhang’s powerful scientific research capabilities, coupled with China’s Top Leader’s current favor, made his future achievements immeasurable!

”Hehe!”

Zhang Yuanhang smiled and rubbed the back of his head.

”Can the mecha start now?”

Looking at the tall mecha beside him, China’s Top Leader finally understood why Academician Wang insisted that he come to the site in person.

On paper, fifty meters was just a cold number, but after coming to the scene, he realized how shocking this mecha was.

China’s Top Leader and Academician Wang looked at Zhang Yuanhang.

”Yes,” Zhang Yuanhang nodded, ”Leader, let’s step back a bit. The mecha’s weapon demonstration might be a bit dangerous.”

”Okay!”

China’s Top Leader followed Zhang Yuanhang to a safe position.

At this time, a tank about to be decommissioned was brought to the scene. China’s Top Leader took a telescope and watched the tank intently.

If he remembered correctly, the mecha’s Laser Cannon could melt a tank in three seconds.

”It’s starting.”

Lin Yun said, and as he pressed the Laser Cannon’s switch, the tank in front of them instantly began to melt. Three seconds later, only a pool of molten steel remained.

”Hiss!”

China’s Top Leader gasped, having only thought the Laser Cannon was powerful when watching videos and reading documents, but never realizing how truly shocking it was.

After demonstrating the Laser Cannon, Lin Yun activated the Electromagnetic Oscillation Cannon.

”Leader, let’s stand firm.”

Seeing this, Academician Wang immediately pulled China’s Top Leader. He himself had almost been affected by the Electromagnetic Oscillation Cannon last time.

”Okay!” China’s Top Leader nodded, holding the telescope with both hands, looking at the mecha not far away. This should be the function that the mecha recently revealed.

”Boom!”

As Lin Yun pressed the switch, the concrete ground ’boiled’ like the wasteland last time.

”I didn’t expect the concrete ground to not even last a second!” Lin Yun looked at the surging ground beneath his feet, gaining a new understanding of the Electromagnetic Oscillation Cannon. Reinforced concrete ground simply couldn’t withstand the mecha’s Electromagnetic Oscillation Cannon.

”This... this... this...”

China’s Top Leader pointed with a trembling hand at the reinforced concrete ground that was continuously ’boiling.’ The large amount of exposed rebar made China’s Top Leader think of those military fortresses.

At this moment, China’s Top Leader seemed to have lost the ability to speak.

”Leader, do you understand now why I wanted you to come and see it in person?”

”Comrade Xiao Zhang’s mecha function is too significant for practical combat. Applied to urban warfare and destroying enemy military structures, it’s an absolute superweapon.”

Academician Wang said with a smile.

China’s Top Leader, having recovered, slowly nodded, ”You’re right, this function is indeed a superweapon.”

Seeing that China’s Top Leader also strongly agreed, Academician Wang decided to press his advantage.

”Leader, I think our government should fully support Comrade Xiao Zhang and quickly build a mecha production line.”

”Once the mecha equips the troops, it will be very beneficial for raising our China’s prestige, the first mecha army on Blue Star!”

Academician Wang said.

China’s Top Leader looked at the tall mecha, his heart filled with hesitation, ”This mecha is too big. Once it’s on the battlefield, it can easily become a target for concentrated enemy fire.”

Regarding large-scale deployment of this mecha, China’s Top Leader felt that it needed further consideration.

Academician Wang seemed about to continue persuading, but China’s Top Leader raised his hand to interrupt him, ”Let’s talk later. Comrade Xiao Zhang seems to be about to demonstrate something new.”

At this moment, the mecha stopped, and everyone’s gaze was fixed on Zhang Yuanhang.
