Build a Fifty-meter Giant Mecha at the Beginning!

69: The mecha mission is completed, rewards are obtained, and the next mission begins“The Top Leader, what are you planning to do?”

Old Wang was extremely interested in The Top Leader’s thoughts at this moment. Did The Top Leader want to directly launch a heavy attack on India?

“We’ll use the mech’s Electromagnetic Oscillation Cannon to dismantle all the illegal buildings India has constructed over the years!”

“Without those buildings, I’d like to see how India’s soldiers manage to stay on the high plateau where the temperature is low and the air is thin.”

“As for the India soldiers who illegally entered our Border, as long as they surrender, nothing will happen to them. If they dare to resist, I think the Pangu Mech should be able to handle it.”

The Top Leader sneered.

“Hahaha, that’s indeed a good plan. India suffered quite a bit when building those structures back then.”

Old Wang laughed. India had lost many transport drivers while shipping building materials to those high-altitude areas, and it cost a fortune, only to finally complete those illegal structures.

Thinking about how the Pangu Mech could easily dismantle these illegal buildings later, Old Wang truly wanted to run in front of the A San Guo Leader and laugh heartily, then mock him fiercely.

The news from the Capital reached Shancheng immediately.

“Lin Yun, news has come from the Capital. The higher-ups are requesting that you take another mech to the Border to help the people there deal with India.”

Leader Jia looked at Lin Yun with a smile. Once Lin Yun resolved the situation at the Border this time, he could be directly promoted.

Furthermore, Leader Jia felt that Lin Yun would absolutely become the leader of China’s first mech unit in the future.

Because currently, no one in all of China had more experience piloting mechs than Lin Yun, not even Zhang Yuanhang, the inventor of the mech, had as much experience as Lin Yun.

The Top Leader had probably prepared the orders long ago, just waiting for Lin Yun to achieve meritorious service this time to directly promote him.

“Yes!”

Lin Yun, who was training mech pilots, also understood that upon his return this time, his colonel rank could advance further.

Hearing that they could pilot mechs to the Border, everyone eagerly looked at Lin Yun, as if shouting at him, “Pick me, pick me, pick me!”

Lin Yun turned to look at everyone, then pointed to Li Shengxian, who had always been at the top of the rankings, and said, “Li Shengxian, you will pilot a mech with me to the Border this time!”

“Yes, The Top Leader!”

Seeing that he had been chosen, Li Shengxian was overjoyed.

The rest of the people looked at Li Shengxian enviously, sighing in their hearts why they couldn’t get first place in every assessment, otherwise this opportunity would have been theirs.

“You two go prepare. The special train for transporting the mechs will arrive soon.”

“I hope you two will shine brightly at the Border and demonstrate the demeanor of our Chinese soldiers.”

Leader Jia said with a serious expression.

“Yes!”

Lin Yun and Li Shengxian said in unison.

Both of their hearts were burning with excitement at this moment.

At this very moment, Zhang Yuanhang was inspecting the production line for his Yuanhang-2 Engine.

“Xiao Zhang, isn’t the environment here quite good?”

Li Bing looked at Zhang Yuanhang with a smile.

“Indeed, Academician Li, it’s excellent. The equipment is advanced, and the workers are all experienced veterans.” Zhang Yuanhang nodded in satisfaction.

“My boy, the Pangu Mech is already on the right track. The research environment in Shancheng is not as good as in our Rong City.”

“Why don’t you come to our Rong City? Our equipment here is advanced, and the skills of us old fellows are no weaker than those of Old Wu, Old Sun, and Old Zhao.”

Academician Li Bing still wanted to poach Zhang Yuanhang to Rong City.

At this moment, the Rongcheng Leader, who was accompanying Zhang Yuanhang to visit the Yuanhang-2 Engine production line, immediately spoke up upon hearing Academician Li Bing’s words: “Yes, Comrade Zhang Yuanhang, as long as you are willing to come to our Rong City, our Rongcheng Government will fully cooperate.”

“Furthermore, our Rongcheng Government will provide Comrade Zhang Yuanhang with fifty billion, no, one hundred billion in research funds annually.”

Academician Li Bing nodded, looking at the Rongcheng Leader. This fellow was a man who could accomplish great things; he had some courage.

The Rongcheng Leader looked at Zhang Yuanhang with expectant eyes. He truly wanted Zhang Yuanhang to come to Rong City.

One must know that the Pangu Mech production line established in Shancheng would bring considerable profits to Shancheng in the future, which made the Rongcheng Leaders extremely envious.

They all wished they could move the Pangu Mech production line from Shancheng to their Rong City overnight.

“Comrade Zhang Yuanhang, our Shancheng can also do this.” The Shancheng Secretary, who was accompanying Zhang Yuanhang, quickly interjected.

Before, the Shancheng Secretary didn’t understand why the Shancheng Leader wanted him to put down his work and accompany Zhang Yuanhang to Rong City.

Now that Shancheng had just begun to enjoy the benefits brought by Zhang Yuanhang, the Shancheng Secretary would not let Academician Li Bing and the Rongcheng Leader poach Zhang Yuanhang, even if it meant his death.

It turned out he was here to prevent Rong City from acting unscrupulously and trying to poach Zhang Yuanhang.

“Comrade Zhang Yuanhang, what Rong City can promise you, our Shancheng can also promise. What they in Rong City cannot promise, our Shancheng can also promise.”

“Moreover, Comrade Zhang Yuanhang, Academician Wu and the others are still waiting for you to return and lead them in research!”

The Shancheng Secretary finished speaking and played the emotional card.

“Leader, Academician Li, thank you both for your kindness. The Pangu Mech production line has just gotten on track and still needs my help.” Zhang Yuanhang politely declined the two of them.

“Alright.”

Academician Li Bing and the Rongcheng Leader nodded, immediately stating that the overall situation was more important!

Seeing that everyone stopped trying to poach, the Shancheng Secretary immediately breathed a sigh of relief. His heart had been in his throat just a moment ago.

“Academician Li, Leader, I’ve had a look around here, and under your guidance, the factory is excellent. I’m very relieved.”

“I still have matters to attend to, so I need to return to Shancheng first.”

Zhang Yuanhang looked at the two with an apologetic expression. Just moments ago, the system had sounded again in Zhang Yuanhang’s mind.

【Ding! Mech mission, Host has completed it perfectly. Do you want to start the next mission?】

【Mech mission rewards have been issued. Do you want to claim them?】

Because there were many people around, Zhang Yuanhang did not activate the mission given to him by the system. Nor did he claim the rewards at this time.

“Xiao Zhang, aren’t you going to have a meal?” Academician Li Bing looked at Zhang Yuanhang reluctantly.

“Academician Li, I’m a bit pressed for time this time, so I won’t eat now. We’ll have a good meal next time.” Zhang Yuanhang still wanted to go back early to see what rewards he had received and what the next stage’s mission was.

“Alright, alright.”

“Xiao Zhang, you must take care of yourself. Don’t overwork yourself to the point of collapse.”

Academician Li Bing admonished Zhang Yuanhang. Academician Li Bing had seen many compatriots who had passed away from overwork, and he did not want to see Zhang Yuanhang meet the same fate.

“Alright, Academician Li, don’t worry!” Zhang Yuanhang said with a smile.
