My Players Are So Fierce

“What matters require your personal presence? I heard that you’ve been organizing faith masses for new immigrants these past few days. You must be exhausted from running between the Avalon Church and the Church of the Sacred Light.”

“When what you’re doing aligns with your values and interests, work ceases to be a burden and becomes a pleasure. I myself am a proponent of efficient time utilization. I’m enjoying this busyness, and those wandering people are in urgent need of faith to help them better integrate into Transylvania’s changing landscapes. My personal fatigue exchanged for others’ peaceful sleep is the best way to realize my personal values in Transylvania.”

Crow chuckled, extracted a general plan document from his files, and handed it to the governor before curiously observing the governor’s expression after reading it.

As expected, Governor Milian’s expression quickly changed from nonchalant to serious. Her relaxed posture straightened up, and her unadorned yet still beautiful face was now full of shock.

Her eyes widened as she repeatedly glanced at the document before looking up at the still-smiling Crow. She said:

“Are you serious?”

“Absolutely. How could anyone joke about matters concerning the stability of neighboring countries?”

Crow explained:

“Even as I report to you, two shell trading companies have been registered in North Wind Castle and Bourbon City respectively. They will be responsible for the ‘investment attraction’ plans in East Prussia and the Kafuhoka region. However, due to our limited resources, the focus of the first phase will be on the Kafuhoka region. My partner Boss Huo is currently gathering investments. Based on his previously shared progress, the startup funds for this plan have already reached one-fourth, and the rest will be fully gathered within a week at most. We are ready. Now we just need your approval to proceed with the plan.”

“Well then, before I approve, please explain these terms to me.”

Milian’s expression was far from pleasant.

She slapped the plan document on the table and asked:

“About ‘Ponzi scheme’, ‘illegal fundraising’, ‘pyramid scheme’… and this frequent occurrence of ‘thunderstorm risk’ and ‘economic nuke’. I already sense you’re planning an unprecedented economic war, a commercial war without smoke. But even if just one-tenth of the scenes you described in the end would happen, it will be enough to leave tens of thousands of families in the Kafuhoka region impoverished and displaced. Frankly, I find this somewhat…”

“They are the enemy, madam.”

Crow took off the crystal glasses he recently prepared for himself. He took out a handkerchief, wiped the lenses, and calmly said:

“Your mercy to them is cruelty to Transia People. And if you don’t intend to adopt our methods, then you’ll have to dispatch People’s Army soldiers to defend the border.

As far as I know, just around Bataxin City, in the past month alone, there have been three incidents of border provocation by the newly appointed Governor of Kafuhoka.

The opponents are waiting to bite another chunk of flesh from us, madam Governor. At this point, are you still considering their interests?

Trust me!

This plan is already the least harmful response among all your plans to deal with the Nordofs.

We will plunder their wealth to supplement our precarious finances.

We will also empty their savings and weaken their ambition while appropriately guiding them until the moment they ignite the bomb they themselves buried in their hearts… The reactionary rule of Nordofs in Kafuhoka will instantly fall apart, and I can guarantee that at least this generation of Kafuhoka people will forever regard the greedy Nordofs as foes.

You only need to, at the right moment, extend an olive branch…

The Goddess of Wealth is eagerly anticipating the realization of this ambitious plan. She longs to see her majesty established among the creatures of the Continent. Once we complete this ‘sacrifice ceremony’, the Transia People will receive favor and protection from Lady Dutna.

Honestly, I can’t think of any reason you would refuse this.”

“However, once this is exposed…”

Milian took a deep breath and said:

“Have you considered this?”

“Of course, it would be foolish to be directly involved in such matters, so our immediate priority is to support a proxy agent in the Kafuhoka region. Fortunately, Staff Officer National 003 from Lord Qin’s command recommended us the perfect candidate.”

Crow laughed.

He put on his glasses, took a file from his pocket, handed it to Milian, and said:

“This person comes from humble origins, being the illegitimate child of a Nordtof Senior Colonel. He has cultivated himself in the military for many years, but without much success. Most importantly, he is ambitious and lacks a strong sense of belonging to Nordtof. This kind of person loves to gamble the most! He’s been waiting for an opportunity to gamble everything and win everything. As long as you nod, he and we will get this precious chance.”
