My Players Are So Fierce

It’s not that the Half-body Men are arrogant, it’s just that the future development of the two worlds is ultimately different.

With the magical Burning Gold Powder added to the power furnace, steam efficiency can surpass that of internal combustion engines. The production method the Half-body Men now adopt is the optimal solution derived from centuries of accumulation and improvements.

Although both play with machinery, their starting points have been different from the very beginning.

Ideas can be interchangeable, but directly copying textbooks is unnecessary; the experience of another world is not entirely applicable here, which is a disappointing yet hopeful conclusion.

“So, how much production capacity have you mobilized for us to manufacture that batch of Berserker Rifles and various military supplies?”

Murphy turned back and asked:

“Is it ten percent?”

“To be precise, the capacity actually used for production is only about six percent of the total capacity of this mechanical industrial zone we established over two hundred years, but counting the work hours spent on designing and modifying production lines would far exceed that number.”

Minkus explained:

“Different world people’s firearm design concepts are not the same as our weapon design ideas, but we must admit that in terms of making killing weapons, we’re at least two generations behind their research level. They’ve turned gunpowder weapons into art; in this aspect, we can’t compete with them; however, their complete industrial system is like a treasure trove. Previously, when I heard you were planning to place the ‘Explorer’ guild’s base at Charldo Harbor, I felt a deep excitement because this means we can exchange experiences with colleagues from another world, letting sparks of wisdom ignite in each other’s minds. But building an industrial zone of such a scale in Transylvania is a tough task. Even with the assistance of the Mechanical Church, you need a lot of energy and resources, so I suggest you take your time. Essential items can be manufactured at Charldo Harbor, we’re happy to subcontract and will sign intellectual property protection agreements, so there’s no need to worry about us leaking your technological secrets to other nations. I guess the business you want to do with us is related to this?”

“Yes, I want to custom order a batch of engines with special uses at Charldo Harbor.”

In the industrial sightseeing car, Murphy leaned back on the sofa and explained:

“This is related to Transylvania’s advanced weapon development; we want to create an aerial vehicle verified as effective in another world to replace airships or support and perfect the current war model of airships, bringing our air combat system to perfection. The designers at the Transia Armament Factory have already put out blueprints, but limited by production capacity, we can’t enter into research and development. Another key item for bulk production of this weapon I have already found in the Elf Kingdom, but when the power aspect can’t be supported by Spiritual Energy, we can only adopt experiences from another world.”

“It’s not that the power furnaces you’re using now aren’t good enough; mainly, you can’t bring up a heap of coal on air to light it, can you?”

The Vampire Lord spread his hands helplessly and said:

“The special fuel for Dragon Knights is too expensive and naturally cannot be used on a large scale, unless the Half-body Men can figure out a way to reduce the cost of that mixed fuel. Otherwise, we can only take the experience from different world people and start using custom aviation fuel.”

“That’s temporarily not feasible.”

Minkus shook his head and said:

“Merely liquefying the Flaming Gold Crystal is a daunting technical challenge. Before the Brass Fortress fell, the Brass Dwarves provided us with immense funds for researching this, but there has been little success. After all, that item is formed by Subspace Power contaminating the material world, and when its form changes, it leads to desire-driven activities, which are extremely dangerous. As for making the special engine, I need to see the blueprints…”

“I brought them.”

Murphy took out a roll of blueprints from the Psychic package.

It’s a hand-drawn thing; Murphy had the images sent to Penny’s database, then robots with steady hands traced it 1:1.

Minkus took it and glanced at it, finding the complexity of the high-thrust engine structure a headache.

The Half-body Men are not incapable of producing intricate items; merely the internal structure of that walking machine amazes the greats of another world. But the problem is the Half-body Men’s “intricacy” manifests more in their design ideas. Their current industrial mode doesn’t intentionally pursue miniaturization of complex machinery like airplane engines.

Without the ability to reduce volume, the Half-body Men’s solution is crude and straightforward: they enlarge the planes until they can accommodate large engines.

This apparently runs counter to the industrial philosophy of another world.

“This combat aircraft engine is a creation from different world people 80 years ago, when they experienced two real world wars, dragging the entire world into a terrible war where the death toll alone reached tens of millions…”

Murphy said, Minkus suddenly lifted his head, eyes wide open and said:

“How many? How many died? Tens of millions? Equivalent to exterminating Werewolf tribes five times as much? Do they have that many people in their world? It’s unimaginable…”

“Their population there has now exceeded eight billion, Master, while our total population on the old Continent doesn’t even reach five hundred million; counting Merfolk and life’s new Continent might barely reach a tenth of their numbers.”
