Boom!

The three hundred meter long voidship with a shark-like bow slammed into the Demon-Hunter’s Prism Fortress which was about a thousand meters away from Grimm and others. The deafening explosion of the collision shook the earth as the outer metal skin of the voidship was torn, scattering its parts all over the sky.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh…

Boom! Boom! Boom…

The flying debris hauled a long trail of flames. Bang! They then crashed within the vicinity of the Voidship wreckage.

A two-meter mechanical part of Prism Fortress was torn apart by the collision, separated from the ship, but was then contained by the Demon-Hunters within the protective layer of Magical Array.

A piece of metal over ten meters long splashed huge raindrops towards Grimm as it passed by his side. Then, with a sound of a deafening “snap”, those raindrops rolled into large ripples. Other metal fragments struck several Fallen Amonro and Soul Slave.

Coming from within the Voidship wreckage was a red mushroom-like flame soaring into the sky. Blistering with overpowering heat, the rain vaporized instantly into steam around it. Massive ripples formed on the waterholes on the land surface as well.

Above the metal wreck, the Bright Sorcerers who fled the spaceship finally flew to the Prism Fortress.

“Contact Void Fortress Battle Command. The third Battle Command have suffered great losses and has been successfully withdrawn.” A second-level Bright Demon-Hunter airship crewman shouted at the Prism Fortress’ Bright Demon-Hunter.

“Affirmative.”

Prism Fortress’ Bright Sorcerer Executive rapidly took control of the Prism Fortress, contacted a Prism Stone through smart Mechanical Marionettes and transmitted the message to the Void Fortress.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh…

Grimm raised his head and gazed upon the sky. A hundred-meter-tall elemental giant lead thousands of Demon-Hunters who were attempting to run from the battle. Numerous heavily damaged voidships flew across while making abnormal screechings of mechanical friction followed by groups of Fallen Amonros and Soul Slaves.

Such a scene caused every Demon-Hunter in Prism Fortress to feel extremely uptight.

Suddenly, countless numbers of hostile creatures charged into the scene like a tsunami while following the Fallen Amonros.

Such a vast force was like an entire mountain tumbling towards the helpless Prism Fortress!

Prism Fortress’ Demon-Hunters, who had previously roared “fight back!” in a fierce manner were now silenced by what they saw.

Grimm lifted his head and looked up.

An Enigmatic Prophet wrapped in the Enigmatic Energy layer crushed down, followed by a dense group of Golden Amonros and Enigmatic Amonros.

These Amonro were lesser in amount than one-thousandth of the Amonros pursued by Hearkening Whisperer.

Grimm looked up with his Mask of Truth. The light of the Prism Fortress was too insignificant compared with the overbearing tide of the Amonros.

As a result, a dozen Bright Demon-Hunters hurriedly formed a line. However, the rushing Amonro torrent overpowered them. Prism Fortress’ last line of defense, the Ultimate Sorcerer Barrier, only sustained a few breaths before it was ruthlessly destroyed.

The eyes of Demon-Hunters hidden within the Prism Fortress were filled with despair. In a blink of an eye, they were torn into pieces by Amonro from all directions. The Prism Fortress too was slammed. It then collapsed and was completely destroyed.

Magical Array, which used to shine as bright as the sun, was now wholly dimmed. This once strategic defensive point was now nothing but darkness.

Grimm witnessed everything helplessly. Violently gasping, he constantly slammed his Fire Bats spell on the enemy until the last moment. Then, without hesitation, Grimm sent himself to Myna’s spatial coordinates, of which he had sent him flying to a few days ago.

Grimm’s vision went blurry for a moment. The next thing he knew, he was standing on a megalithic cliff sheltered from the rain.

“Hey? Young Master, you are finally here. What happened to Prism Fortress?” asked Myna as he landed on Grimm’s shoulder.

Grimm immediately cast a direction locator spell and quickly flew toward the Void Fortress. Raindrops tapped on his Sorcerer Barrier as he pierced through the rain, leaving a trail of vapor under the dark sky.

“It is happening. Like you said before, the whole world struck back.”

Grimm’s voice was low and hoarse. The Prism Fortress’s downfall was within seconds. It made Grimm feel peculiarly small.

At this moment, Grimm felt for the first time that he was nothing more but insignificant in the face of the grandeur of a world-changing law and order.

“Hey, what did I tell you? The moment a great modification of a world’s law takes place, everything must be done as fast as possible. Otherwise, once the limit has been exceeded, the consequences of a World Cataclysm would most likely mean the extinction of certain species.”

Myna, however did not worry about all of these.

Perhaps to Myna, who had the insight and cognitive perspective of an ancient sorcerer, this Demon-Hunting Conquest by the Sorcerer Civilization was just a small dot in the grand history of things.

Even if all the Demon-Hunters died in the Shadow World and Void Fortress was destroyed, it was still not a great loss for the powerful Sorcerer Civilization. The most significant impact this would serve was to attract the attention of the Holy Tower of Seven Rings of Sorcerer World.

Such was the perception of a higher life form, one that Grimm could not fathom at the moment.

Grimm, at this time simply had the eyes of an official level-one sorcerer.

Once defeated, one had to escape to Sorcerer World Void Fortress at full speed. This was one of the basic rules during a Sorcerer World invasion of a low-level native world. This Fortress’ defensive ability was far beyond the imagination of any sorcerer. It was the holy grail of all wisdom after the second civilization war of the Sorcerer World.

As long as Void Fortress still soared in the sky of this world, Demon-Hunter still had hope of regaining victory!

Quack quack …

A few unknown shadowy creatures came to Grimm. Since the shadow empire headquarters had been taken over by the Demon-Hunters for many years, the hostile creatures which festered here had already been cleaned up. These days with the shadows returning however, they gradually lurked back into their place from the Prism Fortress’ defense gap.

Unwilling to tangle with these creatures, Grimm twisted the surrounding space and moved forward, gradually getting rid of these macabre shadow creatures.

Two days later.

Gazing upon the distance above the dark sky, Grimm placed his sights on the soothing moon. It was the only way Grimm could relieve himself from his greatly burdened spirit. As Magic Power surged out of his body, he flew towards the moon.

On the surface below, the Fallen Amonro coalition quickly grew in numbers. They marched and sorted themselves according to the will of the sorcerers. Millions of them were densely packed on the ground.

However, these Fallen Amonro were nowhere near enough to fight against the enormous tide of Amonros, which chased the Hearkening Whisperer.

Buzz…

Grimm elevated himself to the air at an incredible speed, emitting a buzz very much like a mechanical bee. He flew away at high speed.

As the Void Fortress gradually gained altitude, the blood-colored metal gradually strengthened Grimm’s heart with safety and security. Grimm noticed that the Demon-Hunters which gathered had significantly increased in number. Demon-Hunters came from all directions and assembled within the Void Fortress.

It seemed like other Prism Fortresses failed to hold themselves on the strategic defensive points.

The Fortress Battle Command had issued the highest operational command. All Demon-Hunters must lead every Demon-Hunting Magic Power entity they could get hold of, including Fallen Amonros and Soul Slaves. They would gather at the Void Fortress to prepare for the final defensive measures.

To Grimm, everything that was happening in Shadow World seemed too vague to be real.

For decades, this Demon-Hunting Conquest ran smoothly without any significant obstacles. Who would expect that within the short period of half a month, the scales had tipped in such a dramatic way, turning the tide against them!

Just a hundred meters from the Void Fortress was a semi-spherical object drifting silently in the air. Countless Demon-Hunters, Soul Slaves, and some Fallen Amonros surrounded it in the sky.

Fully armed Mechanical Marionettes flew out from the base of the Void Fortress took their defensive positions above the square.

It was like a gigantic mouth of an abyss monster. Within it’s base, the dark and cold Prodigious Shatterer was already protruding towards the opening.

Grimm flew over a patrolling voidship and landed on the busy Void Fortress metal square.
