Argh!

With a loud growl, Grimm released an overwhelming force. The blazing flames on his magic staff blasted at the black flesh barrier and he was drowned by his own flames in the blink of an eye.

Under Victor and Grimm’s consecutive attacks, the black flesh barrier vibrated and a massive amount of black liquid started to flow out from the wall.

Holding back feelings of discomfort, Grimm reverted back to his normal state, the Dark Corium all over his body sank back under his skin.

Hmm?

Dozens of blood-red tentacles on the wall quickly retracted, and there was another layer of wall under the damaged black flesh barrier!

“It is these long parasites as expected!”

Grimm clenched his teeth and tried to attack again to break a new layer of the flesh barrier, but the black liquid from the damaged flesh barrier had instantly formed a new layer of wall.

It seemed that these eerie black flesh barriers were constantly coagulating and could not be broken one layer at a time.

Swoosh!

A short sorcerer who was only about one point five meters tall flew to Grimm’s side. He was wearing a round black-framed glasses and had two white beards. A serious expression appeared on his aging face. As the sorcerer unleashed Magic Power from a delicate magic wand in his hand, a needle stretched out from the wand and stabbed into the black flesh barrier.

The short sorcerer closed his eyes and felt the wall carefully.

After a few breaths, the sorcerer opened his eyes and murmured, “This creature is able to regenerate super fast after it is split. Unless we break all layers of the wall at once, it will be able to regenerate immediately. There are only two solutions for now—one is that after more than ten hourglasses, the regeneration characteristic of this creature will decay due to excessive splitting. The other is by releasing an attack above 3,000 points in one shot, then we can completely ignore the defense system of this flesh barrier.”

3,000 points!

All of the sorcerers who were present, including Grimm, were astounded.

Only a Level 3 Sorcerer could release such a powerful attack.

With Grimm’s Body of Flame and support from his magic staff, the attack points of his Fire Blast Spell at that point in time had reached 1,000 points. It would seem like once he had advanced to a Level 3 Sorcerer, he would naturally be able to release a 3,000-point attack easily.

However, that was not the case.

Based on Grimm’s sorcerer knowledge, once he became a Level 2 Sorcerer and possessed the Body of Elements, his Body of Flame would not be able to increase his fire element attacks any further.

That was to say, theoretically, Grimm’s Body of Flame could only help to increase his fire element attacks within the limits of 100 points of Mental Strength, which is the maximum Mental Strength of a Level 1 Sorcerer. The calculation method would be one fifth of the 100 points of Mental Strength multiplied by ten. The result would be to increase his fire element attack by around 200 points.

By the time Grimm advanced to a Level 3 sorcerer, his Mental Strength would be 300 points, and the highest point of Mental Strength that he could release at any given time would be around one sixth of his total Mental Strength, which was 50 points.

Taking 50 points of Mental Strength and multiplying that by 30—which was the Fire Blast Spell’s ability to move the leverage of rules—meant that it was equal to 1,500 points of attack. Top this 1,500 points of attack with the support of the Body of Flame and magic staff, even with the attack fluctuation of an elemental sorcerer, the maximum attack would be about 2,000 points.

An attack of 2,000 points and one of 3,000 points were obviously not at the same level.

By that time, if Grimm had not made any new progress in elemental sorcery, even if he advanced to become a Level 3 Sorcerer, perhaps he would just become a mediocre sorcerer from amongst the rest, and maybe even some of the best Level 2 Sorcerers would be comparable to him.

The short sorcerer looked around at everyone. All sorcerers who were present were only Level 1 Sorcerers, it was impossible for anyone to release such a high degree attack at one time.

As for waiting for more than ten hourglasses for the black flesh barriers to decay on their own?

Looking at the rising level of the lava pool with roaring lava waves, obviously there was not much time left.

A sorcerer sighed, then his figure blurred, and vanished out of thin air.

“Teleportation Spell!” The crowd was shocked. Some of the sorcerers could not help but look at the sorcerer who had just disappeared and murmured remorsefully.

Grimm knew that sorcerer, it was the sorcerer who had built an altar patiently at the entrance of the Camphoragate earlier.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Several more waves of lava rose up, but this time the cautious sorcerers were not directly hit, meanwhile everyone was releasing large amounts of elemental force in advance to withstand the falling rain of fire.

A sorceress clenched her teeth, her fair skin and graceful body were revealed as her clothes turned into flying ashes. The front and back of her body were painted with innumerable mysterious runes, forming two corresponding Magical Arrays.

With a buzzing sound, the two Magical Arrays formed a dazzling golden shield, its powerful force stunned everyone around it.

The sorceress let out a loud yell and fell into the lava lake. There was no movement in the lake after that. No one could tell whether she was dead or something mysterious was going to happen later.

With a loud screech, Victor started to use his metal arm like a drill and drilled into the Combustar wall, attempting to open another passage. Other sorcerers were also using their sorceries, fighting for even the slimmest chance of survival. No one was in the mood to be bothered about the valuable Combustars.

While Grimm’s face took on a ghastly expression, he did not panic because the Myna was still outside and had already set up a space-time coordinate for him to escape to.

Grimm was not expecting to be plotted against by these native creatures together with a group of sorcerers.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The lava pool was raging more and more as time passed. Soon, the vast area of the lava lake had already been flooded by burning lava. The temperature in that enclosed space was rising quickly. From time to time, Combustars would explode out of thin air and burst into flames.

If only the crowd would calm down, the scene of the Combustars exploding and turning into flames would be a very magical and breathtaking scene.

“Argh…”

A sorcerer—who was slowly shrinking to around twenty centimeters and trying to find a way out from the cracks of the wall—let out a piercing scream as a wave of lava drowned the wall cracks.

After the lava splashed down once again, the sorcerer in the cracks was nowhere to be seen.

Feelings of despair appeared on the faces of the remaining sorcerers. After preparing for a long time, the dark red energy ball on Grimm’s magic staff had completely stabilized, it was the Fire Blast Spell.

Although based on inference, the multi-layered black flesh barrier with insane regeneration ability could only be destroyed by a one-off 3,000-point attack, but without putting it into actual test, an inference could only be as true as an inference, it was not the truth.

There were still a few sorcerers who were still unwilling to give up. They were intending to run an experiment by combining the strongest attacks of multiple sorcerers to see if they could break the wall in front of them.

As several sorcerers growled together, all types of sorceries blasted out, including Grimm’s Fire Blast Spell.

Boom! Boom! Boom…

A series of deafening energy fluctuations spread, even the space of the lava lake was shaking visibly. Large amounts of Combustars embedded on the solid rock walls fell into the lava lake and exploded into beautiful sparks one after another.

The sparks came in different colours and created a breathtaking scene.

Grimm who already had a back up plan was not panicking at all. He was quietly observing the strongest sorcery attacks of the other six sorcerers.

Three of them were not purely destructive elemental sorceries because there were some strange functions in those sorceries, hence the attack points did not represent the actual destructiveness, which caused Grimm to be unable to compare them with his own Fire Blast Spell. As for the other three sorceries, two of them had attacks of around 650 and 700 points, while the last one reached 1,100 points.

Looking at the situation, it would not be an exaggeration to call Grimm’s Fire Blast Spell a super advanced sorcery during their sorcerer-apprentice times. What was more, with the support of Grimm’s Body of Flame and the magic staff that he forged using his alchemy knowledge, even in the official Sorcerer World, his Fire Blast Spell was still considered as very destructive.

However, after the waves of the sorceries dispersed, all of the sorcerers’ anticipation turned into despair.

Although they were not sure how many layers of black flesh barriers had been destroyed by their powerful sorcery attacks, what appeared in front of their eyes was still another layer of the black flesh barrier, with an astonishing amount of black liquid flowing out.

The inference that the flesh barrier could only be destroyed by a one-off 3,000-point attack was true after all.

Sorcerers were rational. Even in despair, they would still be thinking of all the possibilities to survive.

Grimm looked at the rising lava from the lava lake, which was only about thirty meters away from covering the whole area. The inclining temperature of more than three hundred degrees had begun to make some sorcerers feel that the Magic Power consumption of their Sorcerer Barriers was running out too fast. Yet for someone like Grimm with exceptionally high elemental resistance, it was not much of a threat.

There was not much time left for the sorcerers.

However, apparently no one had a way to escape, everyone was just oppressing their anxiety in silence.

All Dark Sorcerers were no strangers to death. There were just too many deaths along the path of their growth. Everyone was well aware that when they end someone’s life, maybe someday in the future, they themselves would also die the same way.

Only when one looked at life and death bluntly can one deal with it apathetically.

On top of being apathetic, cold and cruel, the Dark Sorcerers were further crowned with the “Demon-Hunter” title after the Holy Tower Qualification Battle, which was why Dark Sorcerers were so greatly feared!

All of a sudden, the lava lake started rumbling fiercely. Disbelief spread across all of the surviving sorcerers’ faces as a huge creature slowly appeared on the surface of the lava lake. Lava flowed down from its body as it floated closer to the surface.

It was the gigantic five-hundred-meter long Great Bloodfalls Lavawyvern!

The Great Bloodfalls Lavawyvern roared with its very weak soul, “You filthy pests are nothing but feed to the Lavawyverns! The Great Bloodfalls Lavawyverns will never bow to lowlives like you! Let these creatures from the foreign world send all of you to hell along with me!”

As the Lavawyvern finished its declaration, a cloud of Soulfire floated out from its body, its gigantic body became stiff and cold instantly. The pieces of lava stones on its body began to fall off one by one. It seemed to be the creature’s way of commiting suicide.

“Natural Elemental Soul! What a high quality and pure Natural Elemental Soul!”

Grimm—who was getting ready to leave the place via Long-ranged Teleportation—was the first sorcerer to return to his senses. Right after a space distortion, he appeared swiftly next to the Elemental Soul, and a black crystal ball floated out.
