Ning An's Wild Wish System

”Officer, you have to stand up for me. How can there be scum in the university, using my misfortune to take advantage of me? My innocence... boohoo...”

Normally, there’s a police station near the university town, and when someone reports a case, the officers from the station respond immediately.

But today’s case is different; its social attention is too high.

The eyes of various societal sectors are attracted to this; rumors are everywhere, and if mishandled, it’s like a powder keg ready to explode.

To be cautious, the city police dispatched the best officers to handle the matter carefully, doing so with extreme caution.

Leading the investigation is Officer Xiaoli. He saw the situation, first soothing Zhang Xiaodan’s emotions, and then began to inquire about the details regularly.

Zhang Xiaodan was crying while exaggerating the story, painting Li Yang as a complete pervert.

Additionally, to increase her chances for postgraduate recommendations, she even went so far as to confess directly: ”Officer, I can swim. Whether this person wanted to help me or satisfy his own desires, I’m very clear, you must not let such a beast go free!”

Officer Xiaoli listened to her statement and didn’t immediately seek others for clarifications but sternly said, ”You are infringing others’ reputations without the case being defined yet. Please be mindful.”

Zhang Xiaodan raised her head, somewhat dumbfounded, but seeing Officer Xiaoli’s stern face, she could only reluctantly nod in agreement.

Officer Xiaoli turned and approached Li Yang’s counselor to learn more details.

Despite the pressures from the university leadership before the police arrived, being young and full of energy, he couldn’t stand being pressured!

Furthermore, considering his background, he wasn’t afraid of what his professor might do and seriously said, ”Officer, I think there might be a misunderstanding here.”

”Setting aside other matters and from a rational perspective, no one in their right mind would risk their life just to satisfy their desires, right?”

”Officer, look.” He said, taking out his phone and opening the map to point out where Zhang Xiaodan fell:

”This section of the river, it’s not deep per se, but the current is quite rapid. Even a good swimmer wouldn’t necessarily claim they can escape unharmed from here?”

Officer Xiaoli nodded after hearing his words, ”I know this place. I previously taught a safety course at the university, emphasizing this water area. Even today, I specially checked it; the water flow is as rapid as before.”

Teacher Zhao continued to add:

”Indeed! If it were a swimming pool, bathhouse, or even the school-dug small pools, indecent assault might be possible, but in this water area, it’s clearly not!”

As the situation seemed increasingly unfavorable to her, Zhang Xiaodan started panicking.

But thinking about the potential consequences, she shuddered.

Instinctively, she bent over, pounding the ground frantically, and growled in pain:

”Even if we take ten thousand steps back, does saving someone allow for random indecent assault?”

”That man even whispered filthy words in the water, suggesting he’d check on me once ashore, and if necessary, provide artificial respiration.”

”I was too scared at the time, my mind went blank, I didn’t notice this; I only realized after returning to the dormitory.”

”I’ve been tainted, I don’t want to live anymore, boohoo.”

Hiss!

Hearing this, both Officer Xiaoli and Teacher Zhao frowned at the same time.

When there’s no clear evidence, the law tends to lean towards the weaker party.

Even with evidence, the weaker party faces the lightest punishment.

This is Dragon Country’s current national policy, no one can touch it.

In this case, it’s clear that the girl has issues, but lacking strong evidence and the only evidence available being provided by her, the police can only follow her lead step by step.

As a result, even if Zhang Xiaodan claims Li Yang xx’d her in the water, without substantial evidence, the police have no choice but to follow this direction.

Zhang Xiaodan slyly raised her head, observing the expressions of those present, quickly realizing she had made the right gamble.

Being a Journalism major herself, she naturally understood national policy and police’s investigative attitudes better than others.

She could even confidently say: as long as no one presents stronger evidence, even if she sues Li Yang for forced molestation, the judge would be obliged to rule in her favor!

”Fantastic!”

At this moment, Zhang Xiaodan only felt at ease, as if the golden admission letter had already opened its arms to her.

”Humph, she’s lying!”

But before she could revel for three seconds, a crisp, cold huff resounded from outside the door.

As the attendees’ gaze turned variously towards the entrance, a short-haired girl directly walked in.

Before anyone could react, she handed her camera directly to Officer Xiaoli.

”Officer, I went out for a shoot this morning and happened to capture her incident of falling into the water.”

The short-haired girl said disdainfully while shooting a glance at Zhang Xiaodan: ”This camera is new, incredibly clear; whether the issues this student mentioned are true or not, a look at the video footage will make it clear.”

Instantly, Zhang Xiaodan couldn’t maintain her previous smile, nor could she assume a fragile expression, she gritted her teeth and said, ”Wang Ziru! You must know that providing false evidence to the police carries criminal liability!”
