Ning An's Wild Wish System

”Oh, it’s nothing. Do you mind if I go with you? It’s just about time to close up the Daoist temple as well,” Ning An said with a smile, looking at him.

Originally prepared to leave, Li Yang paused upon hearing this, then turned around with an excited tone: ”Brother Sect Leader, really! That’s absolutely fine!”

People’s hearts are just like this; with the incense at Changchun Temple always answered, having the disciples of the Immortals from Changchun Temple along just makes fulfilling the wish feel more secure!

Ning An understood this point too, which is why he asked.

With a slight tidying up, Ning An closed the main door, picked up the live streaming equipment, and went down the mountain together with Li Yang.

At that moment, in the Mechanical College’s conference hall, a few uniformed police officers had already started gathering people’s statements.

Before they even said much, Zhang Xiaodan, on the side, pulled her old trick, shedding tears instantly with a grievance-laden voice, crying and saying:

”Officers, you must stand up for me. How can there be such scum at the university, taking advantage of me while I’m down and out in the water, my innocence... boo hoo hoo...”

Normally, there’s a local police station near the university town, and if someone files a report, local police officers would respond first.

But today’s case is different; its social attention is too high.

All eyes from various social circles are drawn, public opinion is flying everywhere, and one mishandled move could be like a powder keg explosion.

To be safe, the city’s police sent elite forces directly, striving to handle the matter properly with extreme caution.

Leading them was Officer Xiaoli, who upon seeing this, first calmed Zhang Xiaodan’s emotions before starting to question her in detail.

With tears in her eyes, Zhang Xiaodan embellished the entire affair, portraying Li Yang as a thoroughly disgusting man.

Moreover, in hopes of increasing her chances for postgraduate admission, she even bluntly self-exposed: ”Officers, I can swim. Was he trying to help me or just satisfy his own base desires? I know very well. You must not let such a beast roam freely!”

Officer Xiaoli listened to her account and did not immediately seek others for verification but sternly said: ”Student, before the case has been defined, to refer to others in such a manner infringes on their reputation, please take note.”

Zhang Xiaodan lifted her head, looking a bit dumbfounded, but seeing Officer Xiaoli’s stern expression, she reluctantly agreed.

Officer Xiaoli turned and approached Li Yang’s counselor to get additional perspectives.

Even before the police arrived, the college leaders had indirectly put pressure on him, but given his youthful vigor, he could not brook it!

Moreover, since he came to the group with backing, he wasn’t afraid of any supervisor, and with equal seriousness said, ”Officer, I think there might be a misunderstanding here.”

”Not to mention anything else, under normal circumstances, no sane person would risk their life just to satisfy their own desires, right?”

”Officer, look,” he said while taking out his phone, opening a map, pointing out where Zhang Xiaodan fell into the water:

”This section of the river isn’t deep, but the current is very swift. Even a good swimmer wouldn’t easily escape unscathed here, right?”

Officer Xiaoli nodded in agreement: ”I know this place. Previously, when I delivered a safety lecture at the university, I emphasized this waterway significantly. Today, before I arrived, I specifically went to have a look; the current is still as turbulent as before.”

Teacher Zhao continued elaborating:

”Exactly! You say if it were in a swimming pool or bathhouse, even in a small pond dug by the school, molestation might be possible, but obviously, not in this waterway...”

As the scene’s atmosphere seemed less favorable to her, Zhang Xiaodan suddenly felt nervous.

Yet thinking of the consequences of her failure, she couldn’t help but shudder.

Immediately, she bent over, frantically pounding the ground, painfully growling:

”Even if we take ten thousand steps back, does rescuing someone mean you can molest them at will?”

”That guy even kept saying dirty words in the water, saying he would give me a thorough check when we got ashore, and give me artificial respiration if needed.”

”I was too scared at the time, my mind was blank, and I didn’t notice it until I got back to the dorm.”

”I’m not clean anymore, I don’t want to live, boo hoo hoo.”

Hiss!

Hearing this, Officer Xiaoli and Teacher Zhao both frowned simultaneously.

Normally, in the absence of clear evidence, the law tends to favor the weaker party.

Even with concrete evidence, the penalties for weaker parties are the lightest.

This is the current national policy of Dragon Country, something untouchable.

In this case, anyone with eyes can see the issue lies with the girl, but without compelling evidence, even the available evidence is provided by her, the police have to follow her narrative step by step.

This also means that even if Zhang Xiaodan accuses Li Yang of molesting her in the water, without substantial evidence, the police must grudgingly follow this narrative.

Zhang Xiaodan secretly glanced up, noticing the expressions of those present, instantaneously understanding she had bet correctly.

Being a journalism student herself, she naturally understands national policies and police investigative attitudes better than others.

It can even be said that unless someone provides stronger evidence, she could drag Li Yang to court claiming he forcibly molested her, and even the judge would have to begrudgingly rule in her favor!
