Occasionally, rational comments would emerge in the comment sections of major videos.

”We don’t know the full story yet. It’s illegal to jump to conclusions and cyberbully like this.”

”Hey big sister, I’m a huge fan of yours. Don’t rush to pick a side, I’m saying this for your own good.”

”If the situation turns around, bloggers with your influence will be held accountable.”

However, these comments are drowned out before the major bloggers even see them.

There are even unlawful forces deliberately guiding the narrative, making those comments sink into oblivion.

Seizing the moment, Zhang Xiaodan posted another video.

In the video, she wore long sleeves and pants, a hat and a mask, and had switched her glasses for sunglasses, appearing very much the victim.

She held her ID card showing her photo to the camera, speaking with a crying voice:

”Guys, I never thought that after a girl is victimized, using the internet to protect her rights would lead to being questioned.”

”It’s hard to imagine this is a society’s attitude toward an innocent female university student in such a peaceful time.”

”Just because I exposed the incident, it feels like I’ve offended all men in the world, countless people are insulting me backstage. What terrifying darkness.”

”My family is not well off, I fought hard to get into university, wanting to do post-graduate studies to change my life, but halfway through my life, this happened...”

”You must know, this is the most critical moment before the post-graduate exam, I was originally in a great state of study and would definitely have gotten into my dream school!”

”Now with this happening, I can’t calm down to study. Every time I look at my books, I think of how I was victimized, tears falling directly onto my textbooks...”

”I’ve privately consulted a doctor, who sighed and told me that I might have depressive tendencies, and might not be able to study well for the next six months...”

”To those men who say I invaded others’ privacy, tell me, is a girl’s dignity not important?”

”I might not get into a postgraduate program, but I believe we women shouldn’t be discriminated against and shouldn’t just retreat in the face of unfairness!”

”He has caused me irreversible mental harm. I swear I will fight this scum to the end and win fair rights for us women!”

”If this scum doesn’t go to jail, I won’t be at peace!”

”...”

The entire video was Zhang Xiaodan’s narrative, with elements of a crying voice, a victim’s posture, instantly drawing bystanders’ emotions to the max!

At the end of the video was a photo of Li Yang in the water, with his hand touching Zhang Xiaodan’s chest.

This instantly pushed the incident’s heat to another level.

”Damn! Are there people like this in University Town?”

”Disgusting man, go to hell!”

”Did he forget his mom is a woman too? How can he discriminate against women like this, really, I wonder how his mom raised him.”

”Which school is this? Sisters, steer clear urgently, it’s just too much.”

”Well... let me cautiously interject, no matter what, the guy went into the water to save a person, right? This should have been accidental.”

”Shut the hell up! Just because it’s a smoking area, do you have to smoke there? Bakery goods called Wife Cake don’t have a wife in them, nor do Husband-Lung Slices have human lungs in them.

Your avatar... I knew it, you’re a guy, yuck, disgusting! A prime is tolerant enough to sail a boat in his belly, no wonder you are just an ordinary student!

No matter when, a girl’s breast and the place below are very sacred, didn’t your mother ever teach you, let me teach you!”

”Sisters, this utterly outrageous statement must be from the guy’s hired online promoters, let’s drown them in a flood of comments!”

The post was filled with a countless mix of comments.

Cursing Li Yang’s ancestors for eighteen generations took up two and a half tenths, and the rest were solely cursing Li Yang.

...

This trending topic had also spread to Z City University of Technology.

Mechanical College, third floor.

The room by the right-side window was the meeting office of the college leaders, filled with smoke at this time.

In the internet era, the speed of information spread far surpasses that of the paper media era.

Within half an hour of the video’s explosion, all the major leaders of the college knew about the matter.

The principal urgently convened a meeting to discuss how to handle this matter, and also called back the respective counselors of Li Yang and Zhang Xiaodan.

”Li Yang isn’t usually this kind of person, not to mention anything else about the kid, just talking about how he risked so much to rescue someone, it’s hard to believe he would do it for this!”

Li Yang’s counselor, a young male teacher, directly cursed, ”Frankly speaking, considering Li Yang’s own conditions, he could easily live off someone, why would he be so desperate?!”

The counselor of Zhang Xiaodan was displeased, a female teacher in her forties, precisely in the age where motherly traits are rampant, she immediately retorted with sarcasm, ”Even scientific pioneer Newton had times he believed in superstition, who knows what kind of student you have.”

”Maybe my student falling into the water just triggered his unknown G-spot, who can say for certain how perverted men are nowadays.”

Upon hearing this, the young male counselor’s expression changed, about to retort, but was stopped by the college leader waving it off.

”Alright, alright, everyone calm down, we called you over to solve the problem, not to have you argue.”

”What we’re facing now is how to minimize this issue’s heat quickly, and to minimize damage to the school’s reputation.”

”And according to Teacher Wang, the female student has already reported this to the police, so there’s no way this will end quickly.”

”What’s there to discuss, immediately expel the male student, problem solved. With such evidence in the video, even if someone comes to make a scene at the school, we have the reason and basis.”
