The Comeback of the Cannon-Fodder Supporting Actress

After driving He Xiaohong and Sun Fu away, the Xie Family fell into silence.

Nobody said anything further; the whole family either sat or stood, waiting for a long time until the old man spoke: ”That’s enough, things are like this now. What happens to them afterward has nothing to do with us. You all should go home quickly. Tomorrow you all have work and school.”

Xie Dong stood up: ”Then we’ll leave first.”

Xie Zhao looked at Xie Kun and then said to the old man: ”Grandpa, I won’t leave tonight. I’ll stay with you and Grandma, let Kun Kun go back.”

Xie Hui also smiled and said: ”Kun Kun has guests at home; let him go back quickly. I’ll stay with grandpa and grandma with Big Brother.”

The children were worried and wanted to stay with the elders; no one would stop them.

The Old Madam said to Xie Kun: ”Kun Kun, you should hurry back. Tomorrow, ask your brother whether he wants to return home early or stay a few more days in the Capital. If he wants to stay, take him around to play.”

”Grandma, I understand.”

Xie Kun smiled and agreed.

He took the car keys and walked out.

When Xie Kun returned home, Xiao Yuan had already gone to bed.

Xie Kun didn’t disturb him, just took a bath and went to the master bedroom to rest.

Early the next morning, the doorbell at Xie Kun’s house rang non-stop.

Xie Kun got up impatiently, and when he came out of the bedroom, he saw Hao Zhicheng sitting on the sofa, while Xiao Yuan was already washed up and was making breakfast in the kitchen.

”Brother, brother, how can you be cooking? Come on, let’s go out to eat.”

Xie Kun quickly ran to the kitchen to try to stop him.

Xiao Yuan was about to cook noodles: ”Going out to eat is also troublesome. Anything at home can suffice; let’s not go out.”

Xie Kun saw that Xiao Yuan had finished frying the eggs and made tomato sauce, and the water in the pot was boiling. He was just about to cook the noodles, so he didn’t say any more about going out to eat.

Hao Zhicheng smelled the aroma from the kitchen: ”I say, make me a bowl of noodles too. I came over early and haven’t eaten yet.”

He was truly unceremonious.

Xie Kun said grumpily: ”Are you here specifically to stir up trouble?”

Hao Zhicheng smiled: ”I’m just here to ask what happened last night. I heard it was great fun. My aunt called us when she got home yesterday. She was so happy, saying she finally drove He Xiaohong away.”

Xie Kun felt quite happy too, without He Xiaohong’s family dragging them down.

”Just last night, grandpa and grandma found out He Xiaohong wasn’t biological. Later Sun Hong also left; anyway, we didn’t have any concerns anymore, so we drove their family out.”

”That’s great.”

Hao Zhicheng clapped happily: ”Your family drove them out, without the backing of He Xiaohong’s family, we can finally get revenge.”

Since He Xiaohong’s family came to the Capital, they made quite a few enemies, especially that Sun Fu. He became arrogant, relying on the Xie Family’s power, and offended almost all the younger people. People like Hao Zhicheng had been mistreated by Sun Fu. In the past, everyone overlooked it for the Xie Family, but now, it’s payback time without any scruples.

The cousins chatted while Xiao Yuan had already prepared the breakfast.

After the three of them finished breakfast, Xie Kun asked Xiao Yuan if he wanted to stay a few more days in the Capital.

Xiao Yuan thought for a moment: ”Book me a ticket for the day after tomorrow.”

”Okay.”

Xie Kun agreed: ”Brother, these two days, I’ll take you around, see where you want to go to play.”

Xiao Yuan waved his hand: ”These two days I will go to meet with He Xiaohong’s family. As for playing, there will be time in the future.”

Xie Kun frowned: ”What’s the point in meeting their family? They’re not good people.”

Xiao Yuan laughed: ”I want to understand some things clearly.”

Xiao Yuan extended his hand to Xie Kun: ”Leave the car to me. I need to use your car these days.”

Xie Kun tossed the car keys: ”Then cousin and I will go first. If you need anything, call me, brother.”

”Okay.” Xiao Yuan got up to grab his things, as Xie Kun and Hao Zhicheng left together.

After packing a bag, Xiao Yuan went downstairs, driving Xie Kun’s car out.

He walked while observing the surroundings. Quickly, Xiao Yuan parked the car outside the community where He Xiaohong’s family lived.

Sitting in the car, he kept watching the community gate.

Xiao Yuan specifically came over to see if he could deduce anything about Sun Hong by looking at the appearances of He Xiaohong’s family.

He waited for about an hour when He Xiaohong, along with Sun He Ping and Sun Fu, came out of the community carrying suitcases.

Xiao Yuan took a distant glance, lowered the car window, and flicked a glance at the three as they got closer, then drove away.

He Xiaohong, carrying the heavy suitcase, cried while walking: ”What should we do? We don’t even have the house to stay in...

The house He Xiaohong’s family lived in was given by the Xie Family. Now the Xie Family, finding no kinship with them, wanted the house back, leaving them homeless again.

Sun He Ping cursed while walking: ”Why are you crying? If you keep crying, I’ll beat you. Absolutely useless, couldn’t even win the elders’ hearts, making us like dogs being driven out.”

Sun Fu also complained: ”Dad, Mom, think of a way. We can’t sleep on the streets.”

He then asked He Xiaohong: ”Mom, all these years haven’t you asked the Old Madam for some money? Even if you didn’t get money, surely you have some jewelry, right? We could sell it for some cash.”

”What money do I have?”

When talking about this, He Xiaohong felt even more aggrieved: ”All these years the money I asked for was poured into your bottomless pit. You’re always causing trouble, don’t I need to pay to fix it? The Old Madam did give some jewelry but most were taken by your brother; there’s not much left in my hands now.”

Sun He Ping slapped his forehead: ”Oh right, there’s the eldest. He must have money. Second, call your brother, let him transfer some to us.”

Sun Fu was troubled: ”Dad, when our brother left he said he’s going into closed training, and not to contact him.”

”We’re almost dying here; who cares about that.”

Sun He Ping angrily slapped Sun Fu: ”I told you to call, so you call.”

Sun Fu had no choice but to call Sun Hong.

Meanwhile, Sun Hong had escaped to a deep mountain forest. The spiritual energy here was sufficient. He intended to cultivate and heal his injuries, increase his cultivation level, and find a way to make the Xiao Family’s treasure his own. But before he could settle down, his phone rang.

Sun Hong answered, annoyed: ”Didn’t I tell you not to call unless necessary?”

”Brother.”

Sun Fu’s voice, almost in tears, came through: ”I had no choice. Dad, Mom, and I were kicked out by the Xie Family. We have no money or place to stay...”

”Alright, alright, I’ll transfer some money.”

Sun Hong had no patience: ”I have a house in the Capital and a few in our hometown. I’ll send you the addresses and passwords. Go live wherever you want. Remember, don’t contact me again, or next time I’ll make sure you regret it.”

Sun Hong’s words were quite harsh, prompting Sun Fu to hastily promise: ”No more calls, brother. Just send more money, please.”
