The Comeback of the Cannon-Fodder Supporting Actress

Time flies quickly, and it seems like in the blink of an eye it is already Spring Festival.

Anning and the kids had originally planned to go on vacation. After the final exams, several children began making plans and booking plane tickets and hotels online.

Before departing, Anning called Mr. and Mrs. Qin, saying she would take the kids to the beach for a vacation during the Spring Festival and visit them to pay respects after returning.

Mr. and Mrs. Qin had no objections, but they asked Anning to leave the house keys with them when she left so they could occasionally check on the house.

Anning drove over to the Qin Family to drop off a set of keys, and then her family prepared to depart.

The children truly hadn’t been to such a faraway place. On the day of departure, each of them got up very early, and once on the plane, the kids were extremely excited.

Upon arriving in HN, Anning and Xiao Yuan took the kids to rest for a day before going out to play the next day.

They played continuously for several days. On this day, Anning took the four girls to buy seafood. On arriving at the seafood market, Anning felt uneasy in her heart. Observing her surroundings, she found individuals in the market secretly carrying weapons.

Anning quickly held Zhao Xiaomeng and Xiao Yishan and said to Xiao Lu and Xiao Yilin, ”Stay close to me, let’s hurry out.”

The four girls didn’t know what was happening but obediently nodded, and Anning grabbed the two young ones while the two older ones followed closely as they walked out.

Unfortunately, they left a bit too late.

Just as they were about to leave the seafood market, an upheaval occurred.

At a stall not far behind Anning, someone brandished a knife and started attacking indiscriminately.

This commotion led to chaos in the entire seafood market, and amidst this chaos, many more thugs appeared.

If Anning hadn’t been with the kids, she might have turned back to rescue some people or subdue those thugs.

But now she was still with four kids, and if she left the children to rescue others, perhaps her kids might be injured or killed by the thugs.

Anning couldn’t take that risk.

She desperately led the four kids in a rush to escape.

She intended to send the kids to safety before returning to help.

After running a short distance, Anning saw a boy around seventeen or eighteen years old standing in fear, with a robust man wielding a machete about to strike the boy.

Had they been further away, Anning might not have been able to help or might have refrained from doing so.

But an incident right under her nose, Anning couldn’t stand by idly.

She shielded the children behind her, approached swiftly, seized the machete from the thug, and kicked the thug far away.

”Go.”

Anning yelled loudly to the boy.

The boy finally came to his senses and looked gratefully at Anning.

”Hurry.”

Anning pulled the kids and ran outward, and the boy quickly followed.

Once they exited the seafood market, Anning said to Xiao Yilin, ”You guys take a cab back to the hotel yourselves.”

”Mom, what are you doing?”

Zhao Xiaomeng was already terrified, her face covered with tears as she grabbed Anning.

Anning released her: ”I’m going back to check.”

At this moment, Anning was still holding the machete: ”You guys get going quickly, don’t let me worry.”

”Mom, don’t go.”

Xiao Lu was very worried about Anning.

Xiao Yishan also said: ”Mom, let’s go together.”

Anning smiled: ”I’m fine, you must protect yourselves well, don’t worry about me.”

After saying this, she turned without looking back and rushed back.

The boy looked admiringly at Anning: ”Aunt is truly amazing, women indeed do not yield to men.”

Xiao Yilin glared at the boy, then said to Xiao Lu, ”Sister, let’s hurry and leave.”

The four children were indeed too afraid to linger, immediately calling a cab to return to the hotel.

Anning rushed back again, at this time, security from the seafood market had already arrived, but the security force here was indeed insufficient. The thugs were numerous and brutal, and two security officers were injured trying to prevent the thugs from harming others.

Anning saw a thug inhumanely seize a child, about to stab the child’s body with a knife.

The child’s mother had already been slashed, lying in a pool of blood, still pleading: ”Let go of my daughter, I beg you, I’ll pay...”

Anning reversed her grip on the machete, aiming the blade down, slashing at the thug’s body, quickly snatching the thug’s knife from his hand and tossing it to the ground, catching and pulling the child into her arms.

After rescuing the child, Anning also took the opportunity to subdue several other thugs, waiting until the police arrived before putting the child down and quietly leaving.

However, she hadn’t been gone long before two police officers invited her to the police station.

There was surveillance at the seafood market, and once the chaos had been suppressed, the police obviously needed to review the surveillance footage, fearing the escape of any culprits, and moreover, needing to ascertain exactly what had transpired.

Upon reviewing, they discovered Anning, knowing she saved several people, naturally wanting to invite her over to express gratitude, additionally hoping to hear Anning’s side of the story as a witness.

Anning recounted what happened, cooperated in making a written record, and upon leaving the police station, she saw the boy she saved.

When the boy saw Anning, he gratefully smiled: ”Auntie, thank you for saving my life.”

Anning waved her hand: ”It was just a convenient act, don’t dwell on it too much.”

Seeing Anning was about to leave, the boy quickly caught up: ”My name is Xie Kun, Auntie, what’s your name?”

Anning halted and sized the boy up several times: ”Qin Anning.”

”I’ll remember that.” The boy’s face bore a smile, seemingly innocent and gentle: ”Nice to meet you, Aunt Qin.”

Anning nodded, hailed a cab, and left.

Xie Kun stared for quite a while: ”Why does this Aunt Qin look so familiar, as if I’ve seen her somewhere before.”

Xie Kun returned to the hotel he was staying at and received a call from home.

The caller was his mother, and as soon as the call was connected, Xie Kun’s mom anxiously asked: ”Son, are you okay?”

Xie Kun promptly replied: ”I’m fine, Mom, don’t worry, I’m really fine. I’m resting at the hotel now and planned to go home in a few days.”

Having gone through such an incident, Xie Kun no longer wanted to play, and just wanted to go home quickly.

”Alright.”

Xie Kun’s mom sighed in relief upon hearing he was okay, then remembered something: ”Kun Kun, you should go stay at your grandmother’s for a while.”

”Why?”

Xie Kun frowned.

Xie Kun’s mom sighed: ”Isn’t it our old aunt causing trouble again, huh, this time she’s bringing the whole family to stay at their parents’, it’s truly... Forget it, you go stay at your grandmother’s first, your dad and I are also discussing moving out.”

Xie Kun had come to the seaside for vacation because of the unrest at home.

Xie Ku’s aunt was always causing disturbances, and with the New Year approaching, she was even more troublesome, insisting Xie Kun’s grandfather arrange for her son to become a manager at the company, stirring up chaos for several days. Xie Kun couldn’t stand staying at home, so when a classmate mentioned playing there, he tagged along.

Thinking of that aunt, Xie Kun felt a headache: ”Mom, let’s move out. It would be so much quieter living separately.”

After that, he also asked: ”Don’t my grandfather and grandmother stop my aunt? Allow her to cause such a ruckus?”

Xie Kun’s mom sighed: ”How can they stop her? Your grandma is reluctant to interfere, she always says your aunt has suffered, asking us to be more tolerant, as if no one had suffered back in the day.”

Speaking of his grandparents, Xie Kun suddenly realized who Qin Anning resembled.

Xie Kun had seen photos of his grandmother when she was young and his first impression was of how incredibly beautiful she looked back then, absolutely breathtaking in her youth.

And today, the Qin Anning who saved him bore an astonishing resemblance to his grandmother when she was young.
