Marvel: Odin Imprisoned Me with Hela

”No, I wasn’t the one who recognized you.”

Diana drew her longsword, raised her shield, and entered a battle stance.

”It was this mortal? He is indeed somewhat special.”

Ares’s gaze turned toward Orion Cross, and confusion flickered deep in his pupils.

He had lived from ancient times until now, and in this world, there were no secrets from him. Yet he had never heard of someone like Orion Cross.

At that moment, a large number of guards rushed in with rifles raised, aiming at Diana and Orion Cross.

”Put down your weapons immediately, or...”

”I’ll clear the field first.”

Orion Cross waved his hand, and sand soldiers appeared, knocking all the soldiers away. At the same time, they formed a wall, blocking their path.

The representatives of the various nations looked at their saviors, who had been casually dealt with by Orion Cross just like that. The hands they had placed on the pistols at their waists could only lower again.

”Who are you people?”

One officer could not help asking.

”I am Diana, Princess of the Amazons. He is my guardian god. We came here to deal with Ares and end the war!”

Diana pointed her sword at Ares and spoke to the representatives of the various nations.

”Ares? Wait, are you talking about Sir Patrick?”

The representatives looked at one another in astonishment, only thinking that Diana was mentally ill.

”Which one of your countries developed a super-soldier serum that damages intelligence?”

Several national representatives whispered privately to one another.

”Guardian god? A god needs a guardian god? Diana, are you joking?”

Facing the aggressive Diana, Ares directly opened his arms and laughed loudly.

”Sir Patrick, do you know these two lunatics?”

When the other representatives saw Ares talking to Diana, they all looked incredulous.

However, Ares paid no attention at all to these mortals, who were nothing but foul maggots in his eyes.

”Diana, since you appeared here, you should have discovered it as well.

I did not start the war. I have even been pushing them toward peace.

In secret, I gave them knowledge. I gave them inspiration...

But they used things that could have benefited their own kind for slaughter and war instead.”

”Back then, I told the gods that humanity should not survive, but they denied and trampled on my view!”

”And now, they are all dead, while I am still alive!”

Ares spread his arms wide and shouted, ”So I am not the God of War. I am the God of Truth!”

”Speak the truth!”

Diana seized the chance and threw out the Lasso of Truth, binding Ares.

”Everything I said just now was the truth, child.”

Ares slowly lowered his hands and smiled.

At the same time, a mass of lightning condensed in Ares’s lowered hands and connected to the Lasso of Truth.

In Diana’s vision, she was instantly pulled onto a battlefield, lifeless and filled with shattered ruins.

In the next second, Ares appeared. Under his guidance, the devastated land became as beautiful as Themyscira.

”Join me. Assist me. Together, we can turn this world back into what it once was!”

Ares’s words were filled with temptation as he looked at Diana expectantly.

Buzz!

Suddenly, Orion Cross appeared within that space.

In the outside world, Orion Cross had taken the initiative to walk to Diana’s side, grasping the Lasso of Truth that was conducting Ares’s divine power, and he did not resist.

”Mortal, do not interfere with me!”

Seeing Orion Cross appear, Ares immediately grew somewhat angry.

”Long time no see, Ares.”

Orion Cross spoke calmly.

”I have never seen you before, mortal!”

Ares was slightly stunned when he heard Orion Cross’s words. After briefly searching his memories, he spoke in a deep voice.

”But I’ve seen you.”

Orion Cross held Diana’s arm with one hand and pointed at his own head with the other. ”She grew up on Themyscira. What’s so interesting about those memories? Why not look at mine instead? They’re much more exciting.”

”A mortal with boundless arrogance. I will grant your request.”

Ares had not expected Orion Cross to actually take the initiative to let him view his memories. Coincidentally, Ares also had a strange feeling about Orion Cross’s existence and past and was very curious, so he shifted the target of the illusion’s transmission.

The scene changed. On a high platform within a shadowy space stood several figures familiar to Ares.

”Zeus, his divine power incarnation, and Heracles...”

Before Ares could look at them one by one, he saw Orion Cross already tear out Heracles’s spine and begin a massacre.

In the end, it concluded with Zeus’s head being severed by the Blades of Chaos and Atlas being chopped into minced flesh.

”You are a blasphemer!”

Ares returned to the illusion and looked at Orion Cross, his gaze filled with anger.

Even if he hated those gods, that was still a matter between gods.

They had bestowed power upon a mortal, yet that mortal did not know gratitude. Instead, he erased the gods’ will and seized their divine power. This was complete blasphemy!

”You haven’t finished watching. That only happened recently. If you look farther back, don’t you want to know how I came to know you?”

Orion Cross spoke calmly to Ares.

”Let me see what other tricks you have...”

Ares took a deep breath and once again viewed Orion Cross’s ”memories.”

In an instant, a massive flood of images surged into his mind.

”Zeus, Hera, Poseidon, Hades...”

”The Furies, the Moirai, Gaia, Cronus...”

”You slaughtered all the gods!!!”

Ares’s furious gaze gradually changed, gaining a trace of terror.

Then the scene shifted again, returning to the very beginning.

The image of the first god Orion Cross had killed.

”And there is also... me, Ares!”

Ares truly felt an emotion called fear. He suddenly released the Lasso of Truth and fled straight through the wall.

”Chase him!”

Freed from the restraint and returned to reality, Diana saw Ares fleeing in panic and immediately prepared to rush out.

”No need.”

Orion Cross waved his right hand and flung out the chain of the Blade of Chaos.

”Ah!!!”

A scream rang out from outside. Orion Cross pulled the chain back, and Ares, whose nape had been pierced by the Blade of Chaos, was dragged back.

”Diana, he is the enemy! He is the enemy of Olympus! Join hands with me and kill him!”

Ares collapsed on the ground and shouted loudly.

”I refuse.”

Diana replied coldly, then swung the longsword in her hand toward Ares’s neck.

”Then I will destroy all of you!”

Ares’s body trembled violently. Countless pieces of armor carrying lightning surged out from within his body, and a burst of power directly shattered the longsword in Diana’s hand.

”Witness the power of the gods, blasphemer!”

Ares, carrying the power of the dead Olympian gods within him, struggled painfully to his feet.

”I’ve witnessed it. And then?”

Orion Cross’s calm voice appeared behind Ares.

Rip!

A piece of Ares’s armor was forcibly torn off by Orion Cross’s bare hands, sending him crashing into the factory building.

”Ah!!!”

Ares had already been enduring the pain of different divine powers pouring into his body, and now Orion Cross had torn away his armor, which was like skin to him.

Ares once again let out an earth-shaking roar of pain. All the glass in the room shattered, and the representatives of the various nations inside were knocked unconscious.
