Marvel: Odin Imprisoned Me with Hela

”How did you obtain that power? Are you... a god?”

Hippolyta came back to herself. At this moment, she also realized that Orion Cross could not be Zeus.

Zeus had already fallen in the last great war. Themyscira had been created with Zeus’s final breath.

”No. I am a godslayer.”

Orion Cross found a rock and sat down, looking at the Amazon Queen as he spoke calmly.

”A godslayer? No wonder you said you are Ares’s enemy. So that’s how it is...”

Hippolyta seemed to have misunderstood something. She glanced at her daughter with a look of sudden realization, and a trace of joy flashed through her eyes.

”Godslayer?”

Listening to their conversation, Diana felt somewhat strange. ”Mother, isn’t the Godslayer a sword?”

”Diana! Do not interrupt!”

Hearing this, Hippolyta’s expression instantly changed, and she reprimanded her.

Diana looked innocent. She did not know what she had said wrong. She had clearly told the truth.

She still remembered that when she was little, at the end of the origin story of Themyscira her mother had told her, Zeus had left behind a weapon on Themyscira to deal with Ares.

Afterward, Hippolyta had even taken her to see that weapon called the ”Godslayer.”

It was clearly a sword.

Was this something that could not be told to outsiders?

”You seem to have hidden many things from her.”

While Diana was utterly confused, Orion Cross looked at the slightly nervous Amazon Queen and spoke.

”Honored guest, please come inside and speak.”

Hippolyta took a deep breath and extended an invitation to Orion Cross.

Then she gestured to the surrounding guards, issuing precise orders.

After all the guards withdrew, Orion Cross followed her into the queen’s bedroom. Diana also entered with them, along with the previous guard captain, the queen’s younger sister, and the princess’s combat instructor, Antiope.

The four of them sat down around a stone table.

”Water?”

Diana took the initiative to pour a cup of water and handed it to Orion Cross.

”Thank you.”

Although Orion Cross was not thirsty, he still politely accepted the cup and took a sip.

While Orion Cross drank, Diana propped her chin up with one hand and carefully observed him.

This Amazon Princess had always lived on the island and had never seen a man before. Right now, she was extremely curious.

”Pfft.”

Halfway through drinking, Orion Cross suddenly frowned. He placed a hand by his lips, pulled out a strand of hair, and looked at Diana. ”It’s yours.”

”Sorry. It might have been accidental.”

Diana snatched the strand of hair back and apologized awkwardly.

”So, you drink directly from springwater?”

Orion Cross glanced at the small pool in the corner of the room where water kept flowing out. He could not help thinking that these Amazon warriors might be like people from a certain country, using the same water source for both bathing and drinking.

”Of course. The original springwater of Themyscira is the purest thing in the world.”

Antiope spoke proudly from the side.

”Fine. You can drink water. I’ll drink soda.”

Orion Cross speechlessly curled his lips and directly took out a pack of cola from his storage space.

He did not dare drink this springwater again. This time, he had drunk out a strand of the Amazon Princess’s hair. What if he drank out something else next time?

After pulling open the tab and taking a sip, Orion Cross took out another can and handed it to Diana, who had been staring at him the whole time. ”Want to try it?”

”Thank you.”

Diana accepted the cola and carefully observed the aluminum can, only to find that she could not locate the opening.

And just now, her attention had been on Orion Cross’s face, so she had not seen how he opened it.

Diana scratched her head, took the dagger from her waist, and carefully cut a slit into the aluminum can.

”You’d better not do that...”

Seeing Diana’s actions, Orion Cross was just about to stop her, but it was already too late.

The cola sprayed directly out from the opening.

Seeing this, Diana hurriedly opened her mouth and leaned in, drinking from it.

Very quickly, the entire can of cola was gone.

Only two or three mouthfuls had actually been drunk. The rest had sprayed onto Diana’s face and spilled onto the ground.

Looking at this scene, Orion Cross somehow felt it could easily make people think crooked thoughts.

”The taste is all right. It’s just a little too sweet.”

Diana wiped the liquid from her face and got up, walking toward the spring pool beside her.

”Enough, Diana.”

The Amazon Queen, who had been silently struggling with herself, finally spoke.

Hippolyta looked at her daughter with loving eyes. ”I once foolishly thought that by hiding you and deceiving you, I could keep you away from your destiny. But Antiope was right. That would only get you killed.”

”What are you talking about, Mother? What did you deceive me about?”

Diana was washing her face with springwater at the side. Hearing Hippolyta’s words, she froze.

”Many things.”

Hippolyta stood up, walked in front of Diana, and looked at her with eyes full of emotion. ”For example, the Godslayer is not a weapon. It is a person.”

”A person? Is it him?”

Diana’s eyes brightened, and she pointed at Orion Cross.

”No. It is you.”

Hippolyta looked deeply at Diana and held her shoulders.

”Me?”

Diana pointed at herself, falling into a confused state.

”That’s right. Only a god can kill a god. The final weapon Zeus left behind to deal with Ares is the descendant of him and the queen. That is you, Diana!”

At this moment, Antiope also stood up, walked in front of Diana, and placed a hand on her shoulder.

The two sisters were currently the only two people on Themyscira who knew Diana’s true origin.

And as Diana’s combat instructor, Antiope’s relationship with her was even closer than the mother-daughter relationship between Diana and Hippolyta.

”But I’m no different from all of you.”

”I still haven’t even passed your assessment.”

Diana looked at her hands, then looked at Antiope in confusion.

”That is because you have not awakened yet. You are still just a little short. That is also why I have always trained you and forced out your limits.”

Antiope looked into Diana’s eyes and pointed with one hand toward Orion Cross, who was sitting nearby watching the drama unfold. ”You are stronger than you imagine. As long as you can dig out your own strength, you can also obtain power like his!”

”So, is he also a demigod? Is he my elder brother?”

Diana turned to Orion Cross and asked in confusion.

”That, we do not know.”

Antiope looked back at Orion Cross, wanting to know the answer from him.

”You’re overthinking it. I’m not the son of any god, nor am I some demigod.”

Orion Cross rolled his eyes and said, ”I made it clear from the start. I am a mortal. A mortal who calls himself a godslayer.”

Hippolyta was just about to refute Orion Cross’s arrogant words when she suddenly realized that the Lasso of Truth was still wrapped around Orion Cross’s arm. Her pupils immediately shrank.

This man was telling the truth?!
