Marvel: Odin Imprisoned Me with Hela

”I actually fell under a mortal’s illusion?!”

Less than a minute after Orion Cross left, Loki, who had collapsed on the floor, rubbed his head and stood up. Thinking back on everything he had seen and heard during that one minute, a trace of fear rose in Loki’s heart, along with the anger brought about by that fear.

He, the second prince of Asgard, Loki, the God of Mischief, had actually lost to someone else in the illusion magic he was best at. Inside that illusion, he had not been able to detect a single flaw. He had almost believed it completely, almost thinking that the real world was the dream instead.

He had become a child. A weak human child. And their only goals each day had been chopping trees and hunting. That lowly identity and degenerate life made Loki feel humiliated after waking up.

Fortunately, he had awakened. He had only stayed in the illusion for one day before waking. Loki did not know whether Orion Cross’s illusion had failed or whether it was because of his own resistance. He did not dare try again.

”I’ll be back.”

Loki gave Thor in the room next door a deep look, then his figure disappeared from the room.

”I never dreamed that Midgard actually had so many delicacies, fine drinks, fun things, and interesting people.”

Inside the room, Thor laughed loudly as he spoke to Coulson. During this time, Coulson had already sent all the intelligence here to Nick Fury in secret.

Originally, Nick Fury had thought that Orion Cross would inevitably clash with Thor, and he had already prepared to stand on Orion Cross’s side to gain some favor along the way. But unexpectedly, Orion Cross had not done much to provoke conflict. While this left Nick Fury feeling strange, it also made him let out a breath of relief.

Asgard was an advanced civilization. If they could establish friendly relations on equal footing, Nick Fury absolutely would not give up the chance. And now, the treatment method Orion Cross proposed seemed, overall, extremely suitable. It was just that a strange feeling had been lingering in Nick Fury’s mind and would not go away.

So his final order was for Coulson to accompany Thor as Thor’s temporary guardian in the mortal world.

”Yes, we’re very friendly and hospitable.”

Coulson nodded with a smile and pointed at the two brand-new laptops on the table. ”According to Orion Cross’s request before he left, I need to teach you how to use this. Do you roughly understand it now?”

”Of course!”

Thor proudly raised his chin and showed off his past. ”You don’t know this, but during Asgard’s elective courses, I learned many things. I got full marks in every subject. This sort of thing only takes me five minutes!”

”All right. Then I’ll teach you how to use social software and download entertainment games.”

Coulson nodded slightly. After mentally noting Thor’s words, he spoke.

”No need. I already know how!”

Thor turned the laptop screen in front of him toward Coulson and smiled.

On Thor’s laptop, he had already randomly added more than a dozen friends, and several game icons had appeared on the desktop.

”...Your learning ability is very strong.”

After a brief silence, Coulson praised him. Were all Asgardians this quick at learning? Or had they actually been exposed to things similar to computers and the internet before?

”So, can you all rest assured and go back now?”

Orion Cross walked into the room, sat beside Sif, and said this to the four of them.

Sif and the Warriors Three watched as Thor, after losing his divine power, still played here with such joy. For a moment, they did not know what to say or how to answer Orion Cross.

”I don’t think we can go back either.”

Sif secretly glanced at the man beside her, the one who had completely beaten her, Asgard’s greatest female warrior, and said in a low voice, ”We disobeyed the new king Loki’s orders and privately came to Midgard to look for the banished Thor. We have already violated the ban.”

”Sorry.”

At that moment, Thor, who was operating the computer not far away, suddenly spoke.

”Thor...”

”I dragged all of you into this. But Loki should understand that the mistakes you made can be forgiven. Believe me, he won’t punish you.”

Thor looked seriously at Sif and the Warriors Three as he spoke.

”I think you may be imagining your younger brother as far too kind and beautiful.”

Orion Cross could not help speaking.

”Yes, Thor. You should understand Loki better than we do. Do you think he would let us off?”

Sif glanced at Orion Cross and expressed agreement with his view.

”A wise man once said that to judge a person’s character, don’t look at how he treats you. Look at how he treats those of lower status than himself.”

Orion Cross recalled something a law teacher from his previous life had once said and spoke. ”If he acts arrogantly toward a servant or a beggar, then no matter how elegant he usually appears, it is all hypocrisy.”

”That’s right. In front of Odin and Frigga, even in front of you, Loki is always pretending! You’ve all been deceived by him. He’s the God of Lies. Do you still not understand?”

Sif clenched both fists and glared at Thor.

”Sif, mind your tone. Loki is now the new king of Asgard, the one you swore loyalty to!”

When Thor heard Sif speak this way about his beloved younger brother, he immediately became displeased and spoke with a dark expression.

”You... Thor, did Loki cast an illusion on you?”

Sif looked at Thor in disbelief. She had not expected him to still be speaking up for Loki even now.

”Stop arguing. Without evidence, this guy probably won’t believe it no matter what.”

Orion Cross glanced at the Warriors Three, who were almost unable to hold themselves back, and stopped the argument.

”Heh!”

Sif laughed from anger. After glancing at the Warriors Three, she walked up to Coulson. ”Midgardian, can you assign us separate rooms? We temporarily don’t want to stay in the same room as this drunkard!”

”Of course.”

Coulson waved to the agent guarding the door outside, then said, ”Just follow him. If you’re not used to staying here, there are also guesthouses and hotels nearby.”

”Let’s go!”

Sif turned and left directly. The Warriors Three glanced at Thor, then also followed her out.

”They used provocation to try to make you gather the courage to fight, and you deliberately angered them away. You really are bored.”

After the four of them left, Orion Cross glanced at Thor, who was eating a hamburger with one hand and playing on the computer with the other, and spoke.

”If I can’t pick up the hammer, then I can’t recover my divine power. There’s no meaning in letting them follow me.”

Thor stuffed the entire hamburger into his mouth. Then, looking at the computer screen, his expression gradually became strange. He turned to Coulson. ”Is this what you just told me about, a keyboard warrior?”

”Hm?”

Coulson looked at Thor’s computer screen.

He saw that a female user with a completely black profile picture and the username ”KillerQueen” had sent a long string of abusive mockery directed at Thor.

Seeing this username, Coulson could not help glancing at Orion Cross. If he remembered and recognized it correctly, this username seemed to be the one Orion Cross had chosen for Hela back then. Nick Fury had personally told him at the time to pay attention to this account’s browsing history every once in a while.
