Marvel: Odin Imprisoned Me with Hela

”Just because we’re comrades, we can sleep together?”

Orion Cross looked at Diana as she walked over and sat down beside him. He felt like her values and common sense needed to be rebuilt from the ground up.

”Why not? We often eat, bathe, and sleep together with our sisters. Is that not allowed where you come from?”

Diana sat beside Orion Cross, tilted her head, and stared at him with a confused look.

Orion Cross picked up the blanket on the bed and draped it over Diana. ”Since you know men exist, didn’t your mother ever teach you the basic difference between men and women?”

”Of course she did!”

Diana did not want Orion Cross to think she was ignorant, so she immediately defended herself. ”I’ve read all twelve volumes of Clio, the God of History’s critique on worldly pleasure. What you’re talking about is just the pleasure produced during the process of reproduction, isn’t it?”

”So, was that God of History a monk or a eunuch?”

Orion Cross nodded slightly and asked.

”A monk? A eunuch? What are those?”

Diana did not understand the meaning of those two terms.

”They’re people who, like castrated animals, have no thoughts at all about the kind of pleasure you just mentioned,” Orion Cross explained.

”Oh. Then no.”

Diana looked enlightened for a moment, then shook her head. ”Clio’s final conclusion was that men are needed to reproduce, but they are not needed to obtain that kind of pleasure.”

Orion Cross fell silent for a brief moment. ”So that God of History was actually the God of Lesbians? Or maybe the God of Hand Relief? The God of Molds? The God of Inflatables?”

”Hm?”

Diana fell into confusion again. ”Why do I not understand any of the terms you say?”

”Because your knowledge isn’t infinite. You have only ever received Themyscira’s education, and you’ve never tried to explore things on your own.”

”You need to use your own eyes and your own thoughts to establish your values, not rely entirely on your mother and teachers.”

Orion Cross did not take advantage of Diana’s lack of common sense and knowledge in certain areas to do anything people would usually love to see.

Right now, Diana was essentially a clever fool, not much different from Captain America after being frozen for seventy years and waking up in the modern era.

Once she stepped into human society, she would soon understand all of this. At that time, when she looked back on how Orion Cross had treated her now, she would understand just how rare he was.

”What you said seems full of wisdom, like the elders of my tribe.”

After listening to Orion Cross, Diana lay down on the bed and sank into thought.

The room remained quiet for some time, while Orion Cross sat at the edge of the bed, leaning against the golden screen with his eyes closed to rest.

”Can you tell me your story?”

Diana suddenly turned over, lying there with her wide eyes fixed on Orion Cross, who was sitting by the bed.

”How old are you, still asking for bedtime stories? Go to sleep. Besides, I don’t have any stories to tell.”

Orion Cross spoke with his eyes closed.

”The story of how you killed gods,” Diana said, staring at Orion Cross’s face.

Orion Cross opened his eyes and looked at Diana. ”Are you sure?”

”I’m sure!”

Diana nodded firmly.

”Fine.”

Orion Cross glanced at her, then spoke directly. ”In my universe, a civilization from a sub-dimension descended upon Earth. They called themselves the Olympian gods.”

”Wait. The gods you killed were the Olympian gods of your world? Zeus? Athena?”

Diana sat up at once and looked at Orion Cross in shock. ”So you’re the Ares of your universe?!”

”Ares? I already told you. I’m just a mortal. Ares was the first god to die by my hand.”

Orion Cross shook his head calmly and said.

”Why? The gods created humanity and gave humans knowledge and fire...”

”First of all! The gods did not create humanity.”

Orion Cross directly interrupted Diana’s excited words and said, ”Strictly speaking, you could even say humans created the gods. And humanity’s knowledge and fire never came from the gods either.”

”That’s impossible. These are all legends recorded in books!”

Diana got up, took several books from the nearby shelf, and placed them in front of Orion Cross. ”If you don’t believe me, you can read them!”

”What books record is not necessarily the truth. And... have you ever heard Zeus’s story?”

Orion Cross gave Diana a deep look and asked.

He seriously suspected that as Zeus’s lover, Hippolyta had only ever told Diana beautified stories since she was little, stories filled entirely with praise and glorification.

”Of course I have. Zeus, king of the gods, was brave, kind, and wise. He once created humanity...”

Halfway through, Diana froze, because Orion Cross had just said that humans were not created by the gods.

”Do you want to hear Zeus’s real story?”

Seeing Diana trying to remember where to start, Orion Cross smiled and asked.

”Can you wear this?”

Diana looked up into Orion Cross’s eyes, took the Lasso of Truth from the side, and looked at him pleadingly.

”No problem.”

Orion Cross casually wrapped the Lasso of Truth around his waist like a belt, then began telling Zeus’s story.

Orion Cross did not ignore Zeus’s courage and wisdom when he first rebelled against Cronus. The story of the war of the gods made Diana listen in rapt attention.

But the stories afterward...

Zeus turned into a swan. Zeus turned into a bull. Zeus turned into a forest god...

Zeus and his elder sister. Zeus and his aunt. Zeus and his younger aunt. Zeus and his daughter. Zeus and his youngest daughter...

Story after story left Diana feeling as if her worldview was on the verge of collapse.

”There was once a human king who was unwilling to keep offering the fruits of his people’s hard labor to the gods. Do you know how Zeus treated him?”

”While the king was away, Zeus transformed into the king’s appearance, barged into the queen’s bedchamber, and when the king rushed back in fury, Zeus used lightning to destroy the furious king’s face.”

”Afterward, the queen became pregnant and gave birth to a demigod.”

Orion Cross looked at Diana, whose gaze had gone dull. ”Perseus. Did your mother ever tell you his story?”

”She did. A great hero from myth, who killed the evil Medusa and cut off her head...”

Diana stared blankly into Orion Cross’s eyes and spoke.

”Evil Medusa... heh!”

Orion Cross let out a cold laugh. ”Medusa was Athena’s priestess. She was forcibly defiled by Poseidon, yet Athena turned Medusa into a monster. Afterward, she even borrowed Perseus’s hand to remove that stain. Truly worthy of being called the Goddess of Wisdom.”

”By the way, I was very lucky. At that time, I was alone.”

”Zeus had no way to sleep with my wife or daughter. Although Athena wanted to manipulate me into eliminating her enemies, she ended up dragging herself down too.”

”They wanted revenge against me. The only way was to kill me.”

”But they couldn’t do it.”

”So the gods died.”

”And I lived.”

After finishing, Orion Cross smiled and sat down beside Diana. ”To be honest, you’re lucky too. The Zeus of this world is dead. Otherwise, could you really have escaped?”

Hearing Orion Cross’s devil-like whisper, Diana immediately shivered.

In the stories just now, there had indeed been tales of Zeus with his granddaughter, and with his daughter.
