Marvel: Odin Imprisoned Me with Hela

”According to the records, only Norse mythology has the prophecy of Ragnarok. Greek mythology seems to have gradually faded because of the decline of the Roman Empire and the rise of Christianity...”

Dr. Selvig flipped both books on the development of mythology to their final sections and looked at everyone.

”The term Ragnarok is exclusive to Norse mythology. Greek mythology has no such concept.”

”If myths and legends were merely fabricated because of belief, then the decline of Greek mythology is very normal. It can be explained by the decrease in believers.”

”But if gods truly existed, then that becomes very strange.”

”There is no record of a Ragnarok. No record of the gods leaving or falling into sleep. It is as if they vanished into thin air.”

After saying so much in one breath, the elderly Dr. Selvig felt somewhat tired. He picked up his glass and drank some water, calming his breathing.

”Miss Agent, you said he exists in the story of Greek mythology. Could he be the final survivor of Greek mythology?”

Jane Foster’s imagination ran wild. She glanced at Orion Cross, then asked Natasha.

”Did I not make it clear enough?”

Natasha smiled helplessly and blinked at Jane.

”What she means is that this person is the source of the Ragnarok of Greek mythology.”

After drinking his water, Dr. Selvig spoke to Jane Foster.

”That’s right.”

Natasha nodded.

”Wait! In other words, Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, Hera, Athena... All those gods from Greek mythology were killed by you?”

Darcy turned her head in bewilderment and looked at Orion Cross, who was calmly drinking his beverage.

Was she listening to a bedtime story right now? Or was she dreaming?

”Not all of them. They liked killing each other. Quite a few of them died at the hands of their own people.”

Orion Cross shook his head and explained. But this also meant he had indirectly admitted Darcy Lewis’s words.

”The gods in Greek mythology certainly had all kinds of misdeeds, but there were also kind ones, right? For example, Athena, the goddess of wisdom. Were they all also...”

Jane Foster could not accept it for a moment and spoke.

”Don’t treat what books record as the truth.”

Orion Cross smiled and shook his head, pointing at the book on Norse mythology on the table. ”I remember the book says Loki and Odin are sworn brothers, right? You can ask Thor what their actual relationship is.”

The myths and legends of this world were only half of those from Orion Cross’s original world. For example, the records of Ragnarok in Norse mythology were very rough and did not mention Loki, Hela, Jormungandr, or Fenrir. But that was also normal. The reason Norse mythology could spread on Earth in this world was all thanks to that Asgardian stonemason who had remained in Midgard.

”I feel like that guy is in a terrible mood right now. If I ask him, I’ll probably get beaten up.”

Jane Foster remembered Thor’s roar toward the sky after he failed to pick up the hammer and could not help shrinking her neck.

”So Athena was actually a green tea bitch?”

As an assistant, Darcy Lewis had a lively personality. She quickly accepted this setting and directly asked.

”More or less. She wanted to use me to eliminate her enemies. Unfortunately, I was a double-edged sword.”

Orion Cross slowly closed his eyes. That memory was actually very dull. Compared to the epic and tragic story of Kratos, the God of War, Orion Cross’s experience back then was simply a slaughter. Athena exhausted every method and still could not change Orion Cross’s mind. In the end, she even personally threw herself onto Orion Cross’s Blade of Olympus, trying to make him feel guilt and pity, but she still failed.

Just as Orion Cross had once said, as long as he had no morals, no one could morally blackmail him.

”Then did those gods truly have divine power? Zeus governed thunder, Poseidon governed the ocean, and Hephaestus governed volcanoes?”

Darcy excitedly leaned closer to Orion Cross and kept asking, like a child waiting for a bedtime story.

”More or less. But as for the God of Fire...”

Mentioning that name, Orion Cross’s expression became somewhat strange. ”Rather than saying he governed fire, it would be better to say he governed cuckoldry.”

While Orion Cross and the others were talking about Greek and Norse mythology, a major event was happening in the true divine realm.

Asgard, Odin’s Vault, in the room where the Casket of Ancient Winters was stored, a figure suddenly appeared.

”Stop!”

Odin looked at the person who had raised the Casket of Ancient Winters and shouted sternly.

”Am I cursed?”

”Who exactly am I?”

Loki lowered the Casket of Ancient Winters and turned around. His skin slowly changed from icy blue back to normal.

”You are my son.”

Odin held Gungnir and stood at the entrance of the vault.

”What you brought back from Jotunheim back then wasn’t only the Casket of Ancient Winters, was it?”

Loki walked toward Odin.

”Yes.”

Odin had no intention of hiding it.

”At that time, I found a newborn child in the temple. As a descendant of giants, he was too small and too weak.”

”He was abandoned there to suffer and wait for death.”

”Laufey’s son.”

”Laufey’s son?”

Loki’s expression gradually became pained and twisted. ”So I’m the monster from Asgardian bedtime stories that runs out of the darkness to scare children?”

”Now everything makes sense. Why you have favored Thor all these years!”

”Because no matter how much you claim to ’love’ me, you would never let a Frost Giant sit on Asgard’s throne!”

Loki was jealous of Thor and resentful of Odin’s concealment, but what he hated even more was the Frost Giant bloodline within himself. He was not a noble Asgardian god, but a savage and crude Frost Giant.

Odin looked at the aggressive Loki. His aura gradually weakened, and he slowly sat down on the steps before collapsing.

Why had Odin been preparing to pass the throne to Thor? Precisely because he did not have much time left. By human calculation, nearly ten years of life remaining was not short at all. But for Asgardians, whose overall lifespans were measured in thousands of years, especially for Odin, the final ten years truly meant he had reached his weakest point.

The Odin Sleep, a term passed down only by word of mouth.

”No... Guards! Guards! Help!”

Loki looked at Odin collapsed on the ground. His originally ferocious expression gradually turned into worry and fear.

Half an hour later, on the throne inside Asgard’s divine palace, Loki sat on the throne with a sorrowful expression, holding Gungnir, the symbol of royal authority, as he looked at the Warriors Three and Sif before him.

”Father has fallen into sleep. Mother fears he may never wake again. If you have urgent matters, you may bring them to me...”

Loki raised Gungnir and stood up. His originally sorrowful tone became firm and domineering.

”Your king.”
