Marvel: Odin Imprisoned Me with Hela

Natasha had personally witnessed the power of the Lasso of Truth. When Coulson grabbed it, he had directly exposed his own embarrassing dark history.

Natasha did not want to recall her bloodstained past again, much less let the innocent Wanda beside her witness another side of her.

”Why are you so worked up? Do you have some little secret?”

Orion Cross had not expected that merely taking it out would make Natasha show that expression, so he teased her with a smile.

”I have many secrets. Secrets even I don’t want to know.”

Natasha pursed her lips and spoke.

”All right, I don’t have some weird hobby of digging into other people’s privacy.”

Orion Cross waved his hand and said, ”The Lasso of Truth has the coordinates of that world on it. With it, I can find that universe among countless dimensions.”

”You’re not making any preparations?”

Natasha glanced behind Orion Cross. ”You’re going over empty-handed just like that?”

”To be honest, I only know that the place over there is where I need to go. But before arriving, I have no way of knowing what era Earth is in within that universe.”

”Maybe it’s also the twenty-first century over there. But it could also still be a primitive society.”

Orion Cross shrugged slightly and said, ”So my only preparation is to bring a little food and drink. That’s enough.”

After saying that, a suitcase appeared behind Orion Cross. Inside were all kinds of bread, sandwiches, and snacks he had previously stored in his storage space for convenience.

Because time flowed very slowly inside the storage space, as long as he did not put cooked dishes inside, there was generally no need to worry about shelf life.

”You really are going on a trip...”

Natasha opened Orion Cross’s suitcase and looked inside. Seeing jelly, chocolate, chips, egg-yolk pies, and all sorts of snacks, she was instantly somewhat speechless.

She had originally thought Orion Cross said he was going on a ”trip” just to express that he would not be in danger. But looking at him now, he really did seem to be going on a spring outing in another world.

”By the way, there’s one question I’ve always wanted to ask.”

Natasha suddenly thought of something and looked up at Orion Cross.

”Ask.”

”You were sealed for so many years. You probably never ate anything, right?”

Natasha asked carefully.

”I ate once. Fried chicken and mini burgers.”

When Natasha mentioned this, Orion Cross immediately remembered the stinky tofu and fermented bean curd secret-sauce mini burger that idiot genie Jeffries had conjured for him back then.

”Just once? So, actually, people like you don’t need to eat at all?”

Natasha nodded slightly, then spoke.

”That’s right.”

Orion Cross nodded. He already understood what Natasha’s question was, so he directly explained, ”You need to understand that not needing to eat doesn’t mean not liking to eat.”

”I’m human, not a god. I naturally have all kinds of human emotions and desires. The desire for good food is one of them.”

”Some religions like to turn human emotions and desires into the Seven Deadly Sins, but those seven sins are actually manifestations of humanity. The difference lies in whether you can control those seven emotions.”

”And gods are not without desires either. In fact, they are even greedier. It’s just that ordinary people cannot understand what they desire, so they take it for granted that gods are great.”

Just like when the Olympus dimension had invaded back then, only the Sorcerer Supreme lineage and Orion Cross had known that the true intention of the gods was to erase Earth’s future.

But those mortals believed the gods had no desires and that the charity and blessings they bestowed were selfless.

They had even once regarded the previous Sorcerer Supreme, the Ancient One, and Orion Cross as demons from hell.

”That’s true.”

Natasha nodded thoughtfully. ”That God of Thunder, Thor, doesn’t seem all that different from ordinary people either. He’s like a child spoiled rotten by his parents.”

”So you understand?”

”I understand.”

Natasha rolled her eyes slightly. ”In order to find an excuse for your own gluttony, you dragged out all of human nature. Then what about your other desires? Why haven’t I felt them?”

As she spoke, she deliberately winked seductively at Orion Cross.

”There’s still a child here. Don’t casually make dirty jokes.”

Orion Cross glanced at Wanda, who seemed to be seriously solving problems but was actually constantly eavesdropping on their conversation, and gave a warning.

”A child? Can you lend me the Lasso of Truth? I can let you hear the heart of a child.”

Natasha glanced at Wanda, a strange smile blooming at the corner of her mouth, and stretched her hand toward Orion Cross.

”No! You’re not allowed to use it on me! You bad woman!”

Wanda, who had been eavesdropping, could not hold back anymore. She immediately put down her pen, turned around, and glared fiercely at Natasha.

”What’s this? Confessing before being accused?”

Natasha covered her mouth and laughed, then gave Orion Cross a look.

”Stop making faces. I know much more clearly than you do.”

Orion Cross rolled his eyes, stepped forward, and patted Wanda’s head. ”Ignore her. If she provokes you like this again, just let her take a few strolls through an illusion.”

”Mm!”

Wanda nodded hard.

”Wait, an illusion?”

Natasha looked at the two of them in confusion.

”Want to try?”

Orion Cross raised an eyebrow, leaned close to Wanda’s ear, and whispered a few words.

”Mm-hm. I know.”

Wanda nodded with slightly flushed cheeks, then turned to look at Natasha.

”Wait—”

Before Natasha could stop her, Wanda raised both hands. Scarlet chaos energy condensed in her palms, causing Natasha to fall into an illusion.

Natasha only felt her vision go dark. Then she arrived in a desolate place.

Everything around her was dim, and the stars drifting through the sky told her that this place was not Earth.

”Natasha Romanoff, daughter of Ivan.”

”Clint Barton, son of Edith.”

”Steve Rogers, son of Sarah.”

”I know why you have come here. But are you prepared to pay the price?”

A strange figure wearing a black cloak floated before Natasha and asked in a ghostly voice.

Ten minutes later, after sacrificing herself to obtain the Soul Stone, Natasha suddenly woke from the illusion. By now, her entire body was soaked with sweat.

”Was that... my original future?”

Natasha lowered her head, thinking of what Orion Cross had once told her.

This time, she had personally experienced that sense of despair.

”Um, he already left.”

Wanda poked Natasha with her finger and reminded her quietly.

”Hm?”

Natasha raised her head and looked around. Sure enough, Orion Cross’s figure was already gone.

”You’d better go take a shower.”

Wanda kindly reminded her.

On the other side, after using the Lasso of Truth to confirm the dimensional coordinates, Orion Cross put the suitcase back into his storage space and immediately set off.

Hyperdimensional magic activated. Space trembled faintly, and Orion Cross’s figure disappeared directly from this universe.

Thud.

Orion Cross fell from the air, but only from a height of two or three meters.

”So dark. Is this inside a cave, or inside a building?”

Orion Cross entered the spiritual realm. His eyes emitted a deep-blue glow as he examined his surroundings.

”A building inside a cave. Don’t tell me I really arrived in a primitive society...”

”Put down what you’re holding!”

At that moment, a voice full of vigilance sounded from behind Orion Cross. Immediately afterward, the sound of something tearing through the air came from behind him.
