Journey to Planar World

”You say strange things, Aphrodite. Just like you, I attended the Banquet of the Gods. Seeing you standing here, I thought I would say something like ’It’s been a long time’ and invite you for a walk in the hall. Something like that.” Freya smiled playfully.

”Huh, our relationship isn’t that close. You must have come for Charlie, right? Everyone knows you have a grudge against Hera.” Aphrodite scoffed.

The two Goddesses of Beauty stared at each other, becoming a spectacle for the gods, who enjoyed their dispute.

Unfortunately, Demeter acted as a mediator to prevent the conflict from escalating.

”What does it feel like to be contested by two Goddesses of Beauty? I want to hear your opinion, Charlie~”

”Goddess Demeter, please don’t involve me; I’m not at fault in this matter at all.”

To be honest, Charlie wanted to leave this place as soon as possible.

”You sinful man, Charlie.” Demeter chuckled.

”No need to be tense, Aphrodite. It’s not what you think. If I really wanted to cause trouble for Charlie, my children would have acted a long time ago.”

”Tsk, I don’t like you very much.”

Aphrodite couldn’t deny Freya’s words. Now she slightly regretted bringing Charlie to the Banquet of the Gods.

”So, don’t you want to invite me to dance?”

Ignoring Aphrodite’s sulking, Freya extended her right hand in front of Charlie.

”Why should Charlie dance with you? I disagree!”

”...”

Freya was too lazy to argue with Aphrodite; her gaze was fixed on Charlie, waiting for his answer.

”It is an honor for Goddess Freya to choose me as her dance partner.”

With a gentle expression, Charlie took Freya’s hand. Then, they brought their bodies closer, making contact through their clothing.

*🎼🎶🎵*

The music started immediately after that, signaling the beginning of their elegant dance.

Hands held each other, and bodies pressed together. Feeling each other’s warmth from their close positions, they slowly traced their steps on the floor.

Freya’s skirt fluttered like a flower opening its petals.

Seeing the two dance gracefully attracted everyone’s attention. Perhaps because they were a beautiful couple, or maybe because they were two figures that drew attention.

While most of the audience sighed in admiration at the graceful pair, Aphrodite seemed displeased to see Charlie dancing with Freya, her lips curling in dissatisfaction.

Next, Loki and Hestia stopped their teasing. Both were astonished that there was a man who could remain unaffected by Freya’s Charm.

Meanwhile, Charlie and Freya chatted as they danced.

”Charlie, am I beautiful?”

”Yes, Goddess Freya is very beautiful.”

”In that case, join my Familia.”

”Sorry, I must decline Goddess Freya’s offer.”

”Oh, I haven’t even mentioned the benefits you would receive.”

”My answer won’t change regardless of what Goddess Freya uses to entice me.”

”Aren’t you afraid I will command my sweet children to disturb you so you can’t go about your normal activities? Although the Guild prohibits disputes between Familias in the city, it’s not absolute. As long as I pay the fine, the Guild can’t do anything.”

Freya made her threat while narrowing her eyes.

Hearing that, Charlie’s dance rhythm was not disturbed at all; he coordinated with Freya without any mistakes.

”Yes and no.” Charlie answered ambiguously.

Before Freya could ask what he meant, he explained himself.

”It is true that if Freya Familia sends a First-Class Adventurer to disturb me, it would be troublesome. But... Goddess Freya, I can fly. If I can’t defeat my opponent, I just need to fly up to escape. Can their attacks reach me when I’m hundreds or thousands of meters in the air?”

”Oh my, you’re very clever. I must admit, even Ottar wouldn’t be able to do anything if you were determined to escape. You’re an interesting man, Charlie. You make me want you more.” Freya whispered softly in his ear.

”I’m sorry, please find someone else. I’m sure there are other men who fit the criteria as your Odr.” Charlie said flatly.

As he stated before, he didn’t mind playing around with bitch women, but to become a life partner... Sorry, he wanted a woman who could keep her purity for her husband when married.

No matter how beautiful Aphrodite and Freya were, or how they teased him, Charlie would not waver.

Of course, he did not deny that he had double standards, considering he had previously had sex with an Elf prostitute in the Entertainment Industry. With no other choice, this body was entering adolescence, a phase where a man’s libido must be regularly released, or it would lead to complications.

”You have a point. You’re too mature for men your age. I prefer that white rabbit (Bell Cranel).”

Freya did not get angry after being rejected. Although her interaction with Charlie was quite brief, she understood his character. If she had to choose between Charlie Avalon and Bell Cranel as her Odr, she would prefer the still innocent and naive Bell.

”It was nice talking to you, Charlie. If you have free time, come to Folkvangr; I’m sure Heith would be pleased. You are the ideal man for her.”

”Dancing with you is quite enjoyable. This is my gift.”

After the song ended, Freya glanced at Aphrodite, who was watching from a distance, then she kissed Charlie’s cheek and turned to leave.

Undoubtedly, Freya’s action received a big response from the gods watching. After all, this was the first time she had kissed a man in public.

”Rather than a gift, this feels more like a punishment.”

Rubbing his cheek, Charlie sighed. After this, he was sure no god in Orario would be unaware of him.

”Charlie!!! You’re not joining Freya Familia, are you?”

Just a few steps away, Aphrodite came with a panicked expression.

”Goddess Freya did invite me to join her Familia. But I declined.”

”Thank goodness, the thing I feared the most didn’t happen.”

Hearing the confirmation directly from him, Aphrodite’s heart relaxed.

”Did you hear that? The young man really rejected Freya!”

”Freya controls love and desire. Everyone must want her help... This is the first time I’ve seen someone refuse her.”

”Freya can recruit new members just by smiling...”

The gods excitedly gossiped about this. Usually, whenever Freya recruited someone, no one ever refused.

That’s why Charlie left a big impression in their minds by rejecting Freya.

”Now it’s my turn. Let’s show Freya that we dance better than she does.”

”Okay.”

Charlie had no choice but to dance with Aphrodite to the next song.

On the other side, Hestia managed to defeat Loki in a verbal debate.

”Hopefully, Bell-kun isn’t like that playboy.”

In her heart, she had already labeled Charlie as a playboy for dancing with two Goddesses of Beauty!
