Journey to Planar World

Charlie bowed politely.

”Greetings, Goddess Demeter. My name is Charlie Avalon, a member of the Hera Familia.”

Demeter was momentarily surprised, then smiled even more beautifully.

”Ah, I see. So you are the one everyone has been talking about lately. It’s truly surprising to hear that Hera has accepted a man into her Familia. Seeing you in person, I can tell you are special.”

The reason she said this was that she could sense Charlie was not pretending to be calm.

No matter how silly Aphrodite was, she was still the Goddess of Beauty. It was impossible for a man to interact normally with her without being influenced by her Charm.

”Thank you for the compliment, Goddess Demeter, but I don’t deserve it.”

”Don’t be too humble, Charlie. Being overly humble is also a form of arrogance.”

”I will remember that.”

Demeter quite fond of Charlie’s character, turned to Aphrodite.

”Aphrodite, you know that the Banquet of the Gods is only for the gods, right? Harmonia is an exception; she will sing to liven up the atmosphere.”

”Ahem... Is there such a rule? I don’t remember at all.”

With a guilty conscience, Aphrodite didn’t dare meet Demeter’s gaze, which was adorned with a beautiful yet intimidating smile.

”So that’s it... No wonder I felt strange that everyone in the hall was a God or Goddess, so we mortals shouldn’t participate in the Banquet of the Gods.”

Hearing Demeter’s words, Charlie’s doubts vanished.

”It seems Aphrodite has tricked you. The gods do bring companions to the Banquet of the Gods, but they must wait outside until the event is over.”

Knowing that Charlie was not lying, Demeter realized the mistake lay with Aphrodite.

”...”

Now aware that he was the only human in the hall, Charlie felt somewhat uncomfortable being the center of attention among the gods, as if he were a monkey in a zoo.

He swore he would never fully trust Aphrodite.

”By the way, my Familia is expanding outside of Orario, and Harmonia’s popularity is rising. Soon, everyone in the world will be her fan!”

Not wanting this topic to continue, Aphrodite changed the subject.

Even though she broke the rules by bringing Charlie to the Banquet of the Gods, none of the Gods and Goddesses spoke up and could only silently approve of her transgression. After all, few of them could provoke the Goddess of Beauty.

If Aphrodite was unhappy with their complaints, what if she used her Charm to steal their followers?

Abusing Charm was a routine for Freya, Ishtar, and Aphrodite.

”How about your Familia, Demeter?” Aphrodite asked.

”My beloved children have a great enthusiasm for their work. I am very grateful. This year’s harvest is truly spectacular.” Demeter followed Aphrodite’s rhythm without intending to continue blaming her.

The Demeter Familia specialized in agriculture, growing various fruits and vegetables to sell in Orario. Their farms outside the city walls provided most of the ingredients used by bars and restaurants.

”The grapes used in tonight’s wine were grown in my farmland. Try it; I want to hear your opinions.”

Taking the wine from the table, Demeter poured a glass for Charlie and Aphrodite to taste.

”Not bad. Your wine is of decent quality, though not as good as Soma’s drinks.” Aphrodite was not very impressed.

Meanwhile, Charlie had a different opinion.

The inside of his mouth came alive as the wine touched his tongue. The rich aroma of the wine wafted through his nose as the sweet alcohol danced down his throat. He had tried various types of wine in his previous life, and he had to admit this was one of the best.

”This is delicious. This is the best wine I’ve ever had.” Charlie praised.

”Fufufu, I’m glad to hear you like it.” Demeter chuckled softly.

”If this wine satisfies you, I can’t imagine your reaction if you drink wine from the Soma Familia.”

”Are you crazy, Aphrodite? You know that’s very dangerous. What if Charlie becomes addicted like those people who lose their sanity? If Hera finds out you turned her beloved child into an alcoholic, I don’t know what crazy thing she would do to you.”

Demeter expressed her dissatisfaction with Aphrodite suggesting Charlie try the wine from the Soma Familia.

Soma was the God of Wine, very famous in Orario.

His wine was so delicious that it made anyone who tasted it feel euphoric and addicted. Those who became addicted would do anything to get more wine. Many lives were ruined due to wine addiction.

”I’m sure Charlie will be fine even if he drinks the genuine wine made by Soma, not the failed version sold on the market.” Aphrodite said confidently.

”Charlie, never try Soma Familia’s wine. It’s for your own good.”

Unaware of The Chosen Savior’s Skill, one of whose abilities was the highest resistance to poison and curses, Demeter earnestly advised Charlie.

In the final analysis, alcohol is considered a poison. That’s why Aphrodite didn’t think Soma’s wine could affect Charlie.

”Thank you for the advice, Goddess Demeter, I will be careful.”

After realizing he shouldn’t be here, Charlie became very quiet. He wouldn’t take the initiative to start a conversation.

Soon after, a group of musicians entered the hall. Ganesha must have planned a dance for his guests.

*🎶🎵🎼*

The melody filled the dance hall within minutes, and the bolder Gods and Goddesses showcased their best moves on stage.

Ganesha was still on stage, making the same statement amid more serious announcements, but no one was paying attention.

”The Banquet of Ganesha always has an elegant touch. That’s why most of us in Orario come to these gatherings.”

”In his case, Ganesha has done much to ensure that the Monsterphilia festival runs smoothly. It’s hard to ignore his invitation. They come to ensure that their own Familia will not be disturbed during the celebration.”

”...”

With his sharp hearing, the melody of the music did not prevent Charlie from listening to the conversations of the people in the hall.

’Monsterphilia, huh...’ He didn’t remember many details about Monsterphilia.

The annual event would start in a few days.

Under the watchful eyes of the Guild’s rules, the Ganesha Familia would use all its resources to hold a performance for the people of Orario.

Brave tamers would attempt to bend dangerous monsters from the Dungeon to the Coliseum.

”Don’t you want to invite me to dance?”

”Freya?!”

Aphrodite turned to see Freya, so beautiful that she made everyone else look normal by comparison.

Her skin was like freshly fallen snow and just as smooth. The scent of her perfume caught the attention of the gods as she appeared.

Their eyes were drawn to her dress, which was too thin and opened at the front. With only a single layer of fabric over each breast, she proudly showcased her full figure.

Freya had a perfect body. Her beauty transcended the concept of beauty, making it so no one else could come close to her.

’So beautiful... No wonder so many people are crazy about Freya.’

Charlie had never met a being more beautiful than Aphrodite and Aishia. However, Freya before him was so perfect that her appearance surpassed that of other Goddesses of Beauty.

Freya was a diamond among diamonds. She was so enchanting that no man could resist her charm. Even other gods could not help but be drawn to her.

Despite this, Charlie remained calm thanks to The Chosen Savior’s Skill, which granted him immunity to Charm. If another man were in his position, he would be dazed like a fool.

”Why are you here, Freya?”

Aphrodite stood in front of Charlie to block Freya. She didn’t know the limits of The Chosen Savior’s Skill and was worried that Charlie would be enchanted by Freya. After all, among the three Goddesses of Beauty, Freya’s Charm was the strongest!
