Journey to Planar World

His brain worked quickly, and Charlie found a solution to deal with the false accusations from the other party.

”What do you intend to do? I warn you, don’t act recklessly!”

Seeing the young man place his palm on the head of the kiosk owner named John, Bors assumed the other party was planning something harmful, so he drew his weapon.

”HELP ME QUICKLY!!! THIS GUY IS TRYING TO CRUSH MY HEAD!!!”

Half of his body trapped in an ice block, John struggled to free himself, but the ice was too solid. His heart raced in panic and fear as the other party held his head.

”See the truth with your own eyes.”

With all eyes on him, Charlie didn’t bother explaining his actions and activated his Spirit Art.

”Icuras Elran.”

Suddenly, a screen the size of a 24-inch TV floated above John’s head. The next moment, the screen displayed a replay of what had happened a few minutes earlier, like a movie.

Bors and the others were glued to the screen, their eyes wide and shock evident on their faces.

Meanwhile, Charlie sighed in relief, having successfully activated Icuras Elran without making any mistakes, despite it being his first time trying it.

’This went better than I expected. The talent of this body defies logic, calling it genius is an understatement. Karasuki Rio’s talent exceeds the standard of genius.’ He thought happily.

Unlike magic, which relies on spell formulas and chants to manipulate Mana, Spirit Art is characterized by how the user directly manipulates Mana. This relationship makes magic easier to activate, while Spirit Art is more flexible in controlling events but harder to master.

To manipulate Mana, the user’s imagination and will play a key role.

Since Rio, an exemplary student, had managed to learn Spirit Art on his own without guidance, just by observing others using magic, Charlie, who had Shibazaki Yousuke as a reference, had a better grasp of it than Rio.

”After seeing all that, do you still believe this scoundrel?”

Once John’s memory replay ended, Charlie withdrew his hand, and the floating screen disappeared at the same time.

”D-Don’t listen to him! That must be a trick to twist the truth, it has to be!”

Even after the truth was revealed, John continued to deny it.

Unfortunately for him, adventurers who could reach Floor 18 weren’t fools; on the contrary, they were very experienced. John’s lies were exposed to everyone present.

”Still want to detain me?” Charlie asked Bors.

”...”

After thinking for a moment, Bors decided not to pursue the matter further. If he insisted, he would lose the trust of the adventurers in Rivira. His desires didn’t cloud his rationality.

”John, from now on, you are banned from setting up a stall in Rivira.”

”I-I…”

Seeing Bors’ firm attitude, John opened his mouth to retort but couldn’t find the words, realizing everyone was looking at him with scorn, especially the female adventurers, who gave him disgusted looks as if he were trash that couldn’t be recycled.

”Young man, release your ice magic. John has been given a harsh punishment, and he’ll freeze to death if left like this.”

Facing the young man who could use strange magic like revealing someone’s memories, Bors was quite frightened of him.

”Alright.”

Waving his hand, Charlie canceled the Ice Spirit Art. Instantly, the ice block trapping John melted, and he collapsed as half of his body was numb.

”Let’s go, Aishia.”

Naturally holding Aishia’s hand, Charlie lost interest in exploring Rivira after this unpleasant incident.

”Wait, I don’t know your name yet.” Bors asked.

”Charlie Avalon from the Hera Familia.”

Without turning around, Charlie walked away until he was out of sight.

”Hera Familia?! Wasn’t that one of the two strongest Familias 15 years ago? Weren’t they exiled from Orario?”

Bors, who spent most of his time in Rivira, wasn’t very updated on recent surface news.

❀❀❀

The entire Floor 18 had no labyrinth or walls, just a large spherical space serving as the ceiling, covered with white and blue crystals.

A massive white crystal, positioned in the center like the sun, emitted dazzling light, illuminating the entire Floor 18 as if it were daytime.

Although no monsters were born on Floor 18, monsters would migrate from Floor 19.

There was a vast meadow on a grand scale. A towering giant tree grew in the meadow, and monsters emerged from a hole in the giant tree. Upon seeing the terrain clearly, they immediately ran toward the wetlands.

The monsters in the wetlands were all those that migrated from Floor 19. Without exception, they were all Level 2.

Charlie and Aishia flew through the air toward the tunnel connecting Floor 18 to Floor 19.

On the ground, monsters roared at them, but they couldn’t attack due to the distance. Without any flying monsters obstructing them, the two smoothly entered the tunnel.

”So this is Floor 19… It’s hard to believe this is underground. The Dungeon is truly miracle.”

Passing through the long tunnel, Charlie was amazed by the spectacular view before him.

Floors 19 to 24 were known as the Large Tree Labyrinth.

The walls, floors, and ceiling were made of wood, making it seem like the inside of a giant tree. Instead of glowing light, luminous moss grew on the floor, emitting a blue glow.

This floor contained a large number of unexplored areas and a variety of insect-type monsters. The diversity of plants on this floor often provided materials used to create healing items, leading to many resource-gathering missions being issued for this area.

Hovering in the air, Charlie could see several adventurers picking plants, likely materials for crafting healing items.

*WHOOSH*

Suddenly, a fireball attacked the two of them without warning.

Before Charlie could act, Aishia shot a fireball with her Spirit Art.

*BOOM*

The two fireballs collided and exploded in the air. The sound was loud enough to attract the attention of nearby adventurers.

”Thank you, Aishia. The scenery was so beautiful, I almost forgot we’re in a Dungeon, a dangerous place filled with monsters.” Charlie felt awkward.

Since Aishia’s presence, Charlie had realized his alertness had somewhat decreased.

”You can always rely on me, Charlie.” Aishia said confidently.

”KIIIIKKK.”

Looking toward the source of the sound, Charlie, having memorized the Monster Encyclopedia from Hera Familia’s heritage, recognized the name of the monster that attacked them.

Firebird: a rare bird-type monster that specialized in long-range fire attacks.

*WHOOSH*

The Firebird shot another fireball from its mouth.

”Lightning Spear.”

Opening his palm, blue lightning condensed into a spear about 2 meters long. Charlie threw it toward where the Firebird was.

*WHOOSH*

*RUMBLE*

The Lightning Spear shattered the fireball in its path, and its attack did not weaken as it exploded the Firebird, which hadn’t managed to dodge in time.

The adventurers who witnessed this scene were stunned. After all, the ability to fly was extremely rare and, so far, only one person from the Hermes Familia possessed it.

”Be careful, there are many poisonous monsters on Floor 19.”

Ignoring the shocked adventurers around him, Charlie warned Aishia as the two landed on the ground.
