Journey to Planar World

*CLANG* *CLANG* *CLANG*

Charlie’s body was starting to feel the impact of the ongoing battle. Revis’s attacks were not only fast, but also deadly. Several attacks had landed on him, leaving deep cuts on his arms and chest. His breath was getting heavier, and every movement felt slower than at the beginning.

”Cura.”

While fighting, Charlie used Spirit Art to heal his wounds. A faint mystical light enveloped his body, restoring torn tissue and stopping the flow of blood from the cut wounds.

Revis saw this scene. For a moment, she looked surprised, her eyebrows slightly raised. However, it only lasted a moment before her expression returned to cold. She spoke in a low but clear tone, full of disdain.

”This is your Spirit power, right? Healing yourself in the middle of a fight? Hmph, do you think it will change anything?”

”No matter how fast you heal, the result is still the same. You can’t keep up with me.” She said dismissively.

”Don’t think you’ve won. This fight has just begun.” Charlie wasn’t angry at the other party’s insulting attitude.

Lowering his head slightly, he felt the Essence/Mana gathering within his body. This Spirit Art was different from before—he felt a powerful flow of lightning energy moving within him.

”Divine Lightning Protection.”

*DHUAARRR*

Instantly, his body was enveloped in blue lightning. Electric sparks radiated from his skin, crackling in the air, creating a terrifying aura. The lightning flowed along his arms, enveloping his sword, transforming his weapon into something far more deadly. The energy not only strengthened his physique, but also drastically increased his speed.

”How much magic can you use...?”

Revis’s eyebrows furrowed slightly due to this sudden change. She didn’t expect the other party to have so many variations of magic. Usually, each individual only mastered one to three types of magic in their lifetime, that rule was absolute and applied to every race except the gods. But Charlie, it seemed, had broken that rule.

’This must be the power of that mysterious Spirit! Most likely, the specialization of that mysterious Spirit is all elements? Though hard to believe, I can’t deny the facts I see.’

Thinking about this, Revis became even more determined to capture Aishia.

”Let’s start round 2.”

After saying that, Charlie instantly disappeared from sight.

*SWOOSH*

*DHUAARRR*

Revis was startled when she found Charlie already behind her.

*SWOOSH*

Charlie swung his sword with a speed that was difficult to catch with the naked eye. However, Revis’s reflexes were sharp enough to immediately raise her sword and parry the attack.

*CLANG*

*ZZZT*

Their clash emitted sparks of fire and lightning in the air. But before Revis could reposition herself, Charlie had disappeared from sight again. This time, he appeared on the left side, slashing his sword with a very fast horizontal movement.

*SWOOSH*

*CLANG*

Revis turned quickly and again parried the attack. However, every time she thought she had managed to read her opponent’s movements, Charlie’s figure disappeared from her sight again, leaving only ripples of lightning in the air.

*ZZRAAAKK… WHOOSH*

Charlie darted again, this time appearing from above with a deadly vertical slashing attack. He brought his sword down with a speed that rivaled lightning strikes.

*CLANG*

Revis only had time to raise her sword, blocking the attack just in time. Her body was pushed down, her feet dragging slightly on the ground. But Charlie didn’t give her any room, he immediately disappeared again, attacking from behind almost simultaneously.

*SWOOSH*

Revis swung her sword hard to parry the attack coming from behind. But Charlie wasn’t there. He appeared again from the side, attacking with a slash towards her shoulder.

*CLANG* *CLANG* *CLANG*

Every attack Charlie made was now filled with lightning energy, making every impact not only deliver physical pressure, but also an electric shock that made Revis’s body twitch slightly. Her metallic armor vibrated every time it was touched by those lightning sparks.

”You think speed will make you win?” Revis said coldly.

Although her speed was hampered, she remained calm. However, Charlie didn’t pay attention to her words. He continued to attack, relying on speed to tire Revis out.

*SWOOSH*

Revis slashed towards Charlie, trying to predict his movements. But Charlie deftly twisted his body, avoiding the slash with a jump, before landing behind her with incredible speed. In a fraction of a second, he was ready to attack again.

However, even though Charlie’s movements were now much faster and harder to follow, Revis wasn’t an easy opponent to subdue. She began to read Charlie’s attack patterns and utilize her extensive experience in combat.

*WHOOSH*

On the next attack, as Charlie lunged towards her, Revis managed to guess his arrival point and strike faster.

*CLANG*

Lightning struck more fiercely than before. Despite being injured and exhausted, Charlie continued to utilize the incredible speed granted by his Spirit Art. Every attack he launched now had incredible speed, and he began to attack from all directions, trying to weaken Revis’s defenses.

*WHOOSH* *WHOOSH* *WHOOSH*

*CLANG* *CLANG* *CLANG*

However, no matter how fast Charlie was, Revis only sustained minor injuries. With her extraordinary swordsmanship and Level 6 basic abilities, she was still able to hold her ground, although she had a bit of trouble keeping up with every movement of her opponent.

Revis frowned, now taking her opponent seriously.

”Impressive... As expected of a hero.”

”Believe it or not, I’m not a hero.”

Being called a hero repeatedly by Tiona, Aiz, and now Revis, Charlie was tired of it.

”The fun time is over, I have to finish this annoying fight as soon as possible, or I’ll be scolded by Olivas.”

*CLANG*

The clash of their swords emitted sparks of fire and lightning. But this time, there was a change in the intensity of Revis’s attack.

She was no longer playing around. Her cold green eyes now seemed full of seriousness and apathy, as if looking at a corpse.

*SWOOSH*

In a flash, Revis lunged forward, her long sword darting with impressive speed. Charlie, who had previously been superior in speed, now found himself having to use all his focus to avoid those attacks.

”Die.”

*SWOOSH*

Revis slashed from above with full force.

Although fast, Charlie could only block the attack with the tip of his sword. The vibration from the impact was felt all the way to his bones.

*CLANG*

”Ugh!” Charlie groaned, his body pushed back by the brutal force.

*SWOOSH* *SWOOSH* *SWOOSH*

Revis launched her next attack with no less speed. A horizontal slash targeting his neck, this time much faster than before. Charlie immediately jumped back, but the sword almost hit his throat.

*SHING*

’Too fast!’

Cold sweat dripped down his forehead. If he hadn’t been more careful, his neck would have been cut.

’This fight is draining my Essence faster than usual. Alright, let’s run.’

Seeing no chance of winning against Revis, who had Level 6 strength, Charlie felt he had gained enough experience. So, he flew away with Spirit Art and away from the battlefield.

”Huh? You... Running away?”

Revis couldn’t believe what she saw.

Shouldn’t heroes always face their enemies bravely?

Which hero runs away when facing an enemy?

Is that man still a hero?
