Journey to Planar World

Day 24.

It had been seven days since the battle with Revis. Charlie, accompanied by Aishia, remained in the Dungeon, exploring the 24th Floor, which was half the size of Orario.

After considering the pros and cons, Charlie no longer intended to try entering the Deep Floors. In his opinion, the monsters on the Middle Floors were more than enough to provide a large amount of Excelia.

Although he had combat power that rivaled Level 4, in the end, he was only Level 2. So, the Excelia he obtained was very abundant considering his low level.

”According to the introduction in the book, Vouivre is a very rare monster, just like the Unicorn. Unexpectedly, we met five Vouivre at once. Could this be related to my Luck Development Ability? Never mind, don’t think too much about it.”

Vouivre was a female humanoid dragon monster. Due to its rarity, Vouivre drop items were highly valued on the Exchange.

”Vouivre is not as strong as Green Dragons, it’s only a matter of time before they are defeated by Aishia.”

Glancing at Aishia fighting Vouivre effortlessly in the air, Charlie was no longer distracted and focused on facing his opponent.

The monster in front of him was called Dark Fungus, a fungal monster that could spread poisonous spores.

Generally, adventurers would drink Antidote when fighting Dark Fungus. However, Charlie didn’t need to use Antidote.

There were five benefits to the The Chosen Savior Skill, one of them being the highest rank poison and curse resistance.

In other words, Charlie was the antithesis to monsters that relied on poison as their main weapon, like Dark Fungus.

So, even though he was currently surrounded by dozens of Dark Fungus spraying poisonous smoke, he stood firm, unaffected by the poison around him.

*Pu-chi* *Pu-chi* *Pu-chi*

Swinging the Damocles Sword, Charlie’s figure moved leaving only an afterimage, he slashed the Dark Fungus cleanly.

In a short time, he had defeated all the Dark Fungus.

”KRIIIIIIGG.”

Emitting an unpleasant scream, the Dark Fungus vanished into black ash and dropped a magic stone.

”Huft... Not bad. Although I can’t update my status to turn all the Excelia into real strength, I’m getting more skilled in using the sword. It’s all thanks to the Prodigy Swordsman Skill.”

Sheathing his sword, Charlie picked up the magic stones scattered on the ground.

”These are Vouivre drop items.”

Landing beside him, Aishia handed over the Vouivre scales and fangs.

”You’re luckier than me, Aishia. You got three drop items at once! On the other hand, the Dark Fungus didn’t give any drop items.”

”Charlie is happy?”

”Of course I’m happy! You’re my lucky star!”

”I see...”

Aishia was happy to be useful to Charlie.

”We’ve been on this expedition for eleven days. After defeating over a thousand monsters, my basic ability stats should be saturated, right?”

”I’m tired, Charlie, carry me.”

”Sure, get on my back.”

Seeing the tired expression on Aishia’s face, Charlie turned around, showing his back, and crouched slightly.

Then, Aishia lay on his back, wrapping her arms around his neck, and closed her eyes as if asleep.

”You should eat more, Aishia. You’re so light.”

Holding Aishia’s thighs to prevent her from falling, Charlie walked through the forest landscape of the 24th Floor.

”Zzz...”

Hearing a soft snore behind him, Charlie knew Aishia was asleep.

”Alright, let’s end the expedition here. For the first expedition, I’ve gained a lot of benefits. No need to be greedy.”

After deciding to end the expedition, Charlie stomped his foot on the ground, his body floated in the air with Wind Spirit Art, and he flew towards the tunnel connecting the 23rd Floor.

In the process of returning to the surface, Charlie encountered no significant obstacles, even Aishia slept soundly during the journey.

There weren’t many flying type monsters in the Dungeon. With his current strength, Charlie only needed to attack from a distance with Spirit Art.

He didn’t even bother picking up the magic stones anymore. Consider it a charity to the adventurers lucky enough to find them.

Because Charlie was flying, his speed through each floor was very fast. Usually, the travel time from the Middle Floor to the Upper Floor took days. If the adventurers were in a group, their speed would be slower.

But Charlie was different. It only took five hours to reach the Upper Floor. After all, he didn’t spend his time fighting monsters on the ground, only occasionally flying type monsters came to attack him.

Since the landscape of the Upper Floor was a cave, Charlie couldn’t continue flying.

On the 12th Floor, he descended from the air gently so as not to wake Aishia.

”Sigh... The round trip is very troublesome. Unfortunately, there are no teleportation areas like in RPG games so that adventurers can save time if they want to return to the surface.” Charlie complained because there was no spatial magic in the Danmachi World.

”The Arifureta anime concept is also about the Dungeon. People who explore the Dungeon can return to the surface quickly because there are teleportation areas inside the Dungeon. Even though they are both Dungeons, why is the treatment so different?”

As he was venting his complaints because he had to walk a long way,

”Uuh-uuh-aa-aa.”

Suddenly three monsters resembling large monkeys covered in white fur with silver fur in the middle appeared.

”Silverback, huh... Sorry, I’m not interested in facing you, I’m very tired and exhausted.”

Not wanting to entertain the Silverback, Charlie used Spirit Art with his mind.

*WHOOSH*

*Pu-chi* *Pu-chi* *Pu-chi*

Crescent-shaped wind blades cut the Silverback vertically. Then a gust of wind blew the magic stone on the ground and flew into the Space-Time Cache.

Repeating the same method, every time a monster blocked his way, Charlie was even too lazy to draw his sword.

On the Upper Floor, there were no worthy monsters that required him to use his sword.

Of course, Charlie met adventurers. Seeing him defeat monsters without having to draw his weapon, they kept their distance from him and were careful not to provoke him.

It wasn’t just monsters that needed to be wary of, but also fellow adventurers. After all, there were only two things that couldn’t be seen directly, the first was sunlight and the second was the human heart.

*CLANG* *CLANG* *CLANG*

Upon reaching the 2nd Floor after walking for an hour, Charlie heard an intense metal clashing sound. Looking towards the source of the sound, he saw a white-haired young man using a dagger as his main weapon, struggling against Goblins.

’That’s Bell Cranel. The protagonist of this world. This is the first time I’ve seen him.’

Orario was very vast, Charlie had never taken the initiative to look for the protagonist. So he had never met Bell. Unexpectedly, he saw him on the 2nd Floor of the Dungeon.

’Seeing his equipment is still basic, it seems he hasn’t been an adventurer for long. Considering the timeline, the Loki Familia is on its way back, then they accidentally created the Minotaur’s fear so it descended to the Upper Floor. Then, Aiz saved Bell when he was almost killed by the Minotaur. So the plot has just begun.’

Charlie tried to remember the Danmachi season 1 anime. Because it had been so long, he only remembered a rough outline.

’Never mind, let’s go back and rest soon.’

Seeing Bell had defeated the Goblins with difficulty, Charlie walked past him.

”Woah, she’s beautiful... Grandpa didn’t lie to me. There are many beautiful women in Orario.”

Seeing Aishia on Charlie’s back, Bell admired her beauty. Of course, it was only pure admiration without affecting his mind. Anyway, he was also immune to Charm Skills the caliber of the Goddess of Beauty, just like Charlie.

”Yosh, I have to get stronger to attract the attention of beautiful women!”

Clenching his fist, Bell’s ambition grew stronger.
