Not Being a Trainer This Time

”Beah...”

Upon hearing the person’s words, Kubfu felt a bit embarrassed.

Because the training method it was currently using was devised by this human.

Initially, it thought the other had left, which is why it sneaked out to try it, but was unexpectedly caught in the act...

Feeling shy and flustered, Kubfu briskly jumped out from under the waterfall, seemingly trying to escape.

As this adorable Legendary Pokemon was about to run away, Naoki quickly shouted:

”Wait!”

Kubfu paused its movements and turned around, looking over curiously: ”Beah?”

”You can keep practicing here, we won’t disturb you at all.” Naoki conveyed his goodwill to Kubfu.

This was his first time seeing a wild Kubfu, so he definitely wanted to observe it properly.

Sure enough, after hearing his words, Kubfu seemed to abandon its intention of fleeing.

It glanced at Naoki and then at the waterfall, pondering something in its mind.

After a while, as if reaching a certain decision, Kubfu turned back and resumed its practice under the waterfall.

”Boni!” On the side, Ogerpon watched the small Pokemon persevering under the waterfall and felt shocked yet impressed.

It’s so hardworking!

”That’s right.” Naoki understood Ogerpon’s sentiment and nodded, saying: ”Pokemons like Kubfu diligently train their body and mind, engaging in rigorous practice day by day, meticulously honing their Moves.”

They are exceptionally serious Pokemons, unafraid of hardship, capable of enduring hardship, and practice earnestly to enhance their strength.

Interestingly, this kind of Pokemon has two distinct evolutionary forms.

One is adept at one-hit kills, dashing into the opponent’s space with a finely honed punch as a Single Strike Urshifu.

The other constantly unleashes flowing, continuous Moves, making multiple hits their creed as a Rapid Strike Urshifu.

Observing Kubfu’s diligent practice, Cyclizar appeared to be inspired by it.

It displayed a serious expression: ”Ga-ow!”

Then it joined under the waterfall to resume its practice.

”Cyclizar is working hard too!” Naoki couldn’t help but voice admiration.

Nearby, Pawmot and Dragonite excitedly cheered Cyclizar on.

”Bamo!”

”Awoo!”

”Boni～”

Koraidon just looked speechless, then lazily lay on the grass, yawning.

”Aren’t you all going to train?” Naoki glanced at the Pokemons beside him, asking.

”Awoo!” Dragonite shook its big head, looking rather confused.

Because it felt like practicing under the waterfall was equivalent to simply getting drenched, with no other sensation.

Dragonite didn’t understand, nor could Flutter Mane from the antiquity grasp the purpose of waterfall training.

Naoki: ”...”

He suddenly felt Cyclizar might just be standing there mindlessly letting the waterfall rinse its head.

After contemplating for a moment, Naoki was inspired by the Rapid Strike Urshifu’s training method and stepped forward to guide Cyclizar.

”Pay attention, Cyclizar, waterfall training isn’t just about letting the waterfall wash over your body; you have to learn to perceive during this process.”

Beneath the waterfall, Cyclizar and the nearby Kubfu simultaneously opened their eyes to look over.

”Use your heart to perceive the power of the water flow; sometimes it becomes rapid and rushing, while other times it flows smoothly like a quietly trickling mirror.”

”Ga-ow...” Cyclizar listened carefully.

”Imagine it as a battle; if you can ignore the waterfall’s impact, you’ll gain the ability to face more intense battles.”

After speaking, Naoki suddenly noticed the Kubfu on the other side also attentively listening.

He paused and turned to Kubfu, saying: ”This is effective for you too, Kubfu.”

After all, this is originally Kubfu’s special training method; only by fully understanding and mastering the essence of water flow can it utilize this power to evolve into a Rapid Strike Urshifu.

Startled by the human speaking to it, Kubfu quickly closed its eyes, pretending to resume practicing.

Yet soon, it immersed itself in the words the human had spoken, feeling the power of the surrounding water flow with its heart...

Kubfu seemed to enter a state of enlightenment.

Witnessing this, Naoki didn’t disturb it, instead taking out his phone to film a precious ecological video of the wild Kubfu practicing.

At this moment, the Pokemon tasked by Naoki returned from searching for the stakes and shrine.

Naoki instructed Dragonite and others to guard Cyclizar’s practice while he went with Koraidon to extract the stake.

Time ticked away steadily, and Naoki spent the entire morning pulling out the seven stakes sealing Chi-Yu.

With Gastly’s help, he also discovered the Firescourge Shrine hidden behind a waterfall.

After this, there was only one last stake left to lift Chi-Yu’s seal.

At noon, to thank these wild Pokemons for their assistance, Naoki specially prepared a sumptuous Pokeblock feast for them.

A group of Pokemons gathered and happily enjoyed the delicious meal.
