Not Being a Trainer This Time

Upon hearing these words, Ting-Lu’s eyes lit up with a ray of light.

It could sense that this person was not lying.

If that is the case, then it shall give it a try!

With this thought, Ting-Lu lowered its head and used its tongue to roll up the bowl of red tea and drank it.

Naoki stood by, observing its actions.

When Ting-Lu drank the last sip of red tea from the bowl, its body suddenly erupted with a golden brilliance.

The light instantly enveloped its body, and within the glow, Ting-Lu appeared extremely relaxed, shaking its head, causing the ancient and heavy giant cauldron on it to sway as well.

Soon, the golden light dissipated, and Ting-Lu’s eyes became a degree brighter than before.

Its growl was light and excited: ”Moo moo!” (I feel unprecedentedly relaxed now!)

”I?” Naoki was somewhat unaccustomed to Ting-Lu’s self-reference.

Ting-Lu looked at him: ”Moo moo!” (Haha, I have existed in this world for a long time now! I haven’t any place to go currently, since you’ve won over me, I shall stay here then!)

Naoki: ”...”

It truly is a naturally friendly Pokemon!

In that case, he must have gained Ting-Lu’s approval, right?

Yet, compared to this matter, Naoki was more concerned with Ting-Lu’s current transformation.

He straightforwardly asked: ”Do you feel any changes in yourself compared to before?”

”Moo moo?” (Changes?)

Ting-Lu carefully sensed for a moment, suddenly it felt some strange information appear in its mind!

Using Earth Power to enrich the soil, provide nutrients to the land, protect the tranquillity of the earth, prevent natural disasters like earthquakes...

What is going on?!

Ting-Lu was very puzzled: ”Moo moo?”

It directly showcased its newly acquired ability to Naoki.

Golden light surged from Ting-Lu’s body, then enveloped the entire pasture field.

Instantly, the soil on this land was blessed with the Power of Auspicious and became more fertile.

”Just as I thought.” Hearing Ting-Lu’s new ability, Naoki couldn’t help but murmur in his heart.

He looked at the rather puzzled Ting-Lu and explained: ”It seems the Power of Calamity has now transformed into the Power of Auspicious, from now on, you will no longer be controlled by it.”

”Moo moo!” (Oh ho ho! Never thought I would encounter such a thing!)

Ting-Lu looked very happy indeed.

If that’s the case, then it shall safeguard the peace of this land!

Meanwhile, Naoki took the opportunity to inquire Ting-Lu about the other three Ruinous Pokemon.

”By the way, Ting-Lu, do you know Wo-Chien, Chi-Yu, and Chien-Pao?”

”Moo moo?” Upon hearing this, Ting-Lu, immersed in its new ability, immediately looked at Naoki: ”Moo moo?” (Could it be, you also want to use this power to dispel the Power of Calamity from their bodies?)

”Exactly so.” Naoki nodded: ”To be honest, I have already obtained their current specific locations, before setting forth, I wish to understand them better.”

”Moo moo.” (I see.)

Ting-Lu nodded its heavy head.

Then, it began to introduce the three calamity beasts from its memory.

”Moo moo...” (I have not seen those three for a long time, the last time was several thousand years ago.)

At that time, all four were considered treasures and were continuously transported to various places, eventually sent to the hands of a human king.

Influenced by the greed of that king, all four lost their reason and were occupied by dark thoughts, madly destroying everything around.

”Moo moo.” (Chi-Yu, that fellow was originally a very elegant and wise Pokemon, yet like me, due to absorbing too much sinister thought, it was entangled with too many flames of jealousy.)

”Moo moo.” (Wo-Chien, that fellow, like me, has long existed in this world, originally a slow old creature, loved lying under the sun all day, but later was stained with too much hatred, completely changing its appearance.)

”Moo moo.” (Chien-Pao, that fellow was originally a righteous and dignified Pokemon, but later its sword was broken due to absorbing too much hatred, since then, Chien-Pao lost its original nature.)

Naoki listened silently, is this the original form of the Four Calamities?

Ting-Lu looked at him, requesting: ”Moo Moo!” (If you’re going to find them, take me along! Perhaps I can persuade them.)

”Alright, no problem.” Since Ting-Lu wanted to go, Naoki had no reason to refuse, and readily agreed.

As night fell, Naoki returned to his room and began preparing dinner for the Pokemon.

After a night had passed, the next morning, after finishing his work on the ranch, Naoki took a few Pokemon and Ting-Lu and set off again.

Today, they planned to head to the Paldea North Second District, a place called Fury Falls.

The Firescourge Shrine, which seals the ruinous Chi-Yu, is located there.

Koraidon flew quickly, and they reached their destination in just half an hour.

Below was a stretch of connected mountains, with a tranquil valley covered in light morning mist, along with the magnificent waterfall cascading down from the summit, creating a scene resembling a fairyland.

”No wonder it’s one of the ten scenic spots of Paldea!”

Gazing at the largest of the waterfalls, Naoki couldn’t help but marvel aloud.

And Koraidon turned its head to look around, seemingly searching for something.

”Ah-gah-syy?”

”Koraidon, let’s go down and have a look!” Naoki patted Koraidon’s head.

”Ah-gah-syy!”

Koraidon responded, turned its head and landed opposite the waterfall, where there was a lively bamboo forest area.

The towering and verdant bamboos created a rare bamboo forest scenery.

Seeing this environment, Naoki couldn’t help but think: A place like this must be popular among Pokemon like Pancham and Pangoro.

However, it’s a pity that the Paldea Region doesn’t have Pancham habitat.

This bamboo forest is home to normal Pokemon like Swablu, Deerling, and others.

Naoki took out his phone and checked the location sent by Raifort on the map app.

According to the location display, the Firescourge Shrine is situated among these secluded mountains.

But the terrain is very complex here, with mountains surrounding valleys, and more than ten waterfalls and rivers of various sizes, making the specific location of the Firescourge Shrine unclear.

Raifort only knew that the Firescourge Shrine was located in this mountain range.

Naoki had slightly more information than her, knowing that the Firescourge Shrine was hidden behind a waterfall in the ”Water Curtain Cave.”

The problem, however, is that there are so many waterfalls in this mountain range that finding the target wasn’t easy.

Yet there’s no choice, they could only search slowly.

Naoki used his Rotom Phone to enlarge the nearby map, then rode on Koraidon to circle around the area, marking all visible waterfalls on the map.

Once marked, he began searching them one by one.

The first one, nothing.

The second one, nothing.

The third one, also nothing.

Drifting through the cascading waterfalls wasn’t pleasant, but thanks to the special physiology of the Pokemon World, the waterfall’s powerful impact didn’t cause any major harm to Naoki.

During this time, a few curious Swablu flew over, perched on the bamboo, and watched the human’s actions with a curious gaze, as if looking at a fool.

”I should’ve brought Farfetch’d over for special training.” Thinking about Farfetch’d’s goal of cutting through the waterfall, Naoki couldn’t help but think.

He thought while marking a red cross on the waterfalls explored on the Rotom Phone.

”Hmm, none of the caves are behind the three waterfalls in this valley, Koraidon, let’s check the mountain ahead!”

”Ah-gah-syy!”

Koraidon responded and immediately turned around, flying to another waterfall.

They didn’t notice, among the bamboo behind them, a bipedal Pokemon with beige fur and a determined look was standing on a rock watching them.

Behind its head hung white fur, looking like it was wearing a white headband.

As a gust of wind blew, the two strands of the headband gently swayed in the wind.
