Not Being a Trainer This Time

”Everyone, come out!”

Looking at the sumptuous dishes on the dining table, Ash was very happy as he took out several Poke Balls from his pocket and threw them with force.

With flashes of white light, all of Ash’s Pokemon appeared in the living room.

Pikachu, Treecko, Taillow, and Corphish.

May and Max had been on the road these days and hadn’t had such a formal meal in a long time.

They both swallowed a bit, and May couldn’t help but say, ”Mr. Naoki’s cooking is amazing!”

Brock picked up a Poffin and a Pokeblock, drawing them close to study them carefully.

”This rich aroma, this crystal-clear luster, it’s something only very skilled Pokemon Breeders can make. Mr. Naoki, are you also a Pokemon Breeder?” Brock asked.

”It’s not that exaggerated, I’m just getting better with practice.” Naoki smiled and shook his head: ”With so many Pokemon on the ranch, I have to make Poffins and Pokeblocks for them every day. Over time, I’ve honed my skills.”

”Pika Pika...”

Upon hearing this, Ash’s Pikachu picked up a Poffin and put it into its mouth.

The next second, a look of happiness appeared on its face.

”Pika~chu~”

”Looks like Pikachu likes it too!” Ash smiled.

Naoki chuckled: ”If you like it, have some more.”

He turned his head towards the ranch to call his Pokemon back home for a meal.

A clear whistle sound spread across the ranch.

Pawmot, Dragonite, Alcremie, Gholdengo, Ogerpon, and other Pokemon playing outside immediately came running from all directions.

Koraidon and Cyclizar had been waiting in the living room for a while, while Eevee and its friends went to play on the World Tree.

Even though they had visited the ranch in the morning, Ash and the others were still inevitably drawn to the sight of so many Pokemon they had never seen before.

”The variety of Pokemon here is really rich!” May exclaimed.

Max looked around and suddenly noticed something, asking: ”Huh? Where are Jirachi and Mew?”

”They were probably taken to the secret base by Mew and Teddiursa!” Naoki explained: ”That’s a hidden place created using the move Secret Power by Mew, even I don’t know its exact location!”

Ash was just about to say something when, in the next second, a Pokemon with a big head suddenly appeared in the living room.

The Pokemon like Pikachu and Treecko, who were eating, were startled by the newcomer and let out screams.

Brock, upon seeing this Pokemon, was immediately shocked and widened his eyes.

”That Pokemon is?!”

Ash immediately took out his Rotom Phone and pointed it at Calyrex.

The next second, Rotom’s electronic voice came from the phone.

”Calyrex, the King Pokemon, possesses the powers of healing and blessing, and is a Pokemon full of compassion!”

”Calyrex?!” May exclaimed: ”Could it be...”

She immediately thought of the legendary story that was causing quite a stir online.

Brock, having opened the Pokemon Forum, quickly found a user named Calyrex in his followers list.

”That’s right, it’s the legendary Pokemon!” Brock nodded in awe.

Looking at Naoki beside him and recalling what Professor Oak had said about visiting Naoki Ranch, an unbelievable thought immediately crossed Brock’s mind.

No wonder Professor Oak published a paper on Calyrex afterwards...

So, the Trainer who captured Calyrex was Mr. Naoki?

”No need to be so surprised.” Naoki chuckled softly: ”Just treat Calyrex like an ordinary Pokemon.”

Calyrex also came to eat upon hearing the whistle sound.

Upon hearing this, it gently nodded and looked at the young humans in front, speaking:

”Don’t mind, I am no longer a king, now I am just an ordinary farmer.”

Ash and the others widened their eyes, looking so stunned that they couldn’t speak.

”Alright, let’s eat!” Naoki said.

Everyone gathered around the dining table, and Ash, Brock, May, and Max occasionally glanced at Calyrex.

This was their first time dining with a Legendary Pokemon, it felt so incredible!

And Ash was full of eager anticipation.

”Mr. Naoki, may I challenge Calyrex later?”

Naoki was slightly taken aback.

Calyrex, though, looked at the boy with interest, asking: ”Do you wish to battle with me?”

Ash nodded vigorously, his eyes glowing with longing:

”Yes because meeting all the Pokemon in the world and becoming a Pokemon Master has always been my goal!”

”And after that?” Calyrex asked again.

”After that...” Ash thought carefully for a moment, then answered: ”I will travel to every corner of this world with Pikachu and the others, to encounter Pokemon I haven’t met before!”

”Ash...” May looked at Ash in awe.

Naoki didn’t know what to say for a moment.

Calyrex seemed touched by Ash’s words.

It gently nodded, then accepted Ash’s challenge: ”Alright, I accept your challenge.”

”Great!” Ash was very excited.

Naoki, meanwhile, looked at Ash’s Pokemon with hesitation.

Pikachu, Treecko, Taillow, Corphish...

Except for Pikachu, the other three Pokemon were ones that Ash had not captured for long, right?

At present, Ash’s Pikachu hadn’t reached its peak strength yet.
