Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

As the three women watched in surprise, Zhao Rong stepped forward. He faced the approaching electric eel and said, ”Lili, Yu Lan, Xuelian, Assistant, there’s no need to be afraid or worried. I know the torpedo we launched was intercepted, and our submarine’s electrical discharge is useless against it. But we have other ways—other weapons—to deal with this troublesome eel.”

Hearing this, Lili asked nervously, ”Zhao Rong, what new weapon do you have? Hurry up and show us!”

”Yes, Zhao Rong, bring it out so we can see!” Yu Lan urged.

Xuelian stared intently at the rapidly approaching eel. ”I hope your new weapon can finish this thing off,” she said.

While the three women were fretting, Zhao Rong pressed a nearby blue button. A long cannon barrel immediately extended from the Noah’s Ark submarine, aiming directly at the approaching electric eel.

When the assistant and the three women saw the cannon, they asked curiously, ”Zhao Rong, are you planning to blast this eel to pieces with one shot?”

Lili followed up, ”Zhao Rong, can a cannon like that even be used underwater?”

Yu Lan sounded skeptical. ”Zhao Rong, our torpedoes were useless against that eel. I doubt an ordinary cannon will have any effect on it, either.”

Xuelian was also pessimistic. ”Zhao Rong, I think you should use a more advanced weapon to deal with this prehistoric eel,” she said. ”Otherwise, it’ll be pointless.”

But just as the three women voiced their doubts, Zhao Rong smiled. ”You’ve all got it wrong. This isn’t an ordinary cannon. It’s an electromagnetic cannon.”

Hearing the term ”electromagnetic cannon,” Lili’s eyes lit up. ”Zhao Rong, I know about those! They’re a very advanced weapon, still in the developmental stage!”

Yu Lan looked at the plain, unassuming barrel. ”Zhao Rong, can an ordinary-looking barrel like this really fire an electromagnetic blast?”

Xuelian suddenly grew worried. ”Zhao Rong, what if the electromagnetic cannon doesn’t kill the eel? What will we do then?”

When Zhao Rong saw that the women didn’t understand the power of an electromagnetic cannon, he offered an example. ”You don’t realize how powerful this is. For example, if an aircraft carrier were in front of us, one shot from this cannon would turn it into a pile of scrap metal. You have to understand, an electromagnetic cannon is millions of times more powerful than a conventional one. In front of it, even the strongest steel is as weak as dirt—no, it’s less than dirt.”

When the three women heard about the immense power of the weapon, they looked at Zhao Rong with newfound respect. ”If you hadn’t told us, Zhao Rong, we would have had no idea how powerful an electromagnetic cannon truly is.”

Lili was awestruck. ”I never imagined such an incredible weapon existed! I bet if you press the fire button, a single shot will be enough to blow that prehistoric eel to smithereens.”

Yu Lan was now completely convinced. ”If an aircraft carrier is nothing but scrap in front of this cannon, then a flesh-and-blood eel stands no chance. The moment you press the button, one shot will vaporize that arrogant beast. We won’t even find its skeleton.”

The assistant, eager to see the action, pulled his phone from his pocket. He started recording and said, ”Zhao Rong, fire the cannon now! Blast that eel to pieces! I want to capture this historic moment on my phone and upload it to the internet. I’m sure this will go down in history, and you’ll become famous!”

Seeing the confidence of the women and his assistant, Zhao Rong smiled happily. ”Alright, everyone, get ready. I’m pressing the launch button now to eliminate this eel.”

With that, Zhao Rong pressed the electromagnetic cannon’s firing button. The moment he did, an electromagnetic round shot from the barrel, streaking toward the nearby eel.

To everyone’s amazement, the power of the electromagnetic cannon was utterly devastating. Not only did it kill the electric eel, but it also incinerated all the surrounding aquatic plants.

Seeing the cannon’s devastating power, the three women began to dance with joy. ”It looks like as long as our Noah’s Ark submarine is equipped with an electromagnetic cannon, we won’t have to fear any terrifying underwater monster! Its power is just too incredible!”

Lili clapped her hands, exclaiming, ”The cannon’s power is beyond my wildest imagination! How thrilling! How powerful!”

Yu Lan gave Zhao Rong an enthusiastic thumbs-up. ”Zhao Rong, from now on, you should use the Paradise Shopping Cart to buy more of these incredible weapons whenever you can! It’s a real eye-opener for us and it broadens our horizons.”

Xuelian began to belly dance on the spot. ”We should really sing a song to celebrate having such an amazing weapon!” she declared. ”I’ll dance right now to mark the occasion!”

As everyone celebrated with song and dance, Zhao Rong glanced at the dashboard. It showed that their Noah’s Ark submarine had reached a depth of 6,000,000 meters. This meant they had reached the very bottom of the deep pool—the location of the Earth’s core.
