Super Tycoon: I Beg You, Stop Pulling Stunts

Chapter 392: Chapter 256: He... A Clear Stream Among Bosses

”And one more thing: the company doesn’t forbid office romances, except for those in sensitive positions.”

”A few days ago, I was talking with a very passionate and successful senior in the industry. His company provides its employees with hospitals, schools, kindergartens, nursing homes, elderly care subsidies, child care subsidies... and so on. The benefits are comparable to those of a bygone era.”

”This is something I plan to implement step by step. The company has already purchased land in Yang City, and the nursing home has already broken ground and is under construction.”

”My goal isn’t to build a company that lasts a hundred years, but to build a company that people respect, admire, and aspire to join... to be a breath of fresh air in this era!”

”In the future, when I’m old, if people mention me and say, ’That kid Lin Chu, he was pretty capable. A good guy, and quite impressive,’ that would be the highest praise for me. I’ll have those words carved on my epitaph!”

As Lin Chu’s words rang out...

The entire conference room erupted in near-frenzied cheers and applause.

Even in the private sector, everyone was used to hearing all sorts of empty talk, platitudes, and corporate jargon. Now, Lin Chu’s plain speech, coupled with the concrete visions he described, genuinely sparked a sense of anticipation, aspiration, and security in everyone’s hearts.

The cameras positioned around the conference room faithfully recorded these moments.

Lin Chu stood up and joined the applause.

He, too, felt a long-lost passion surging within him, coursing through his veins. It was a powerful rush, carried by his strong and steady heartbeat to every corner of his body.

When impoverished, one perfects their own character. When prosperous, one brings benefit to all the world.

This was something passed down through the ages, ingrained in their very bones—a true core value of traditional culture.

As for...

’Being a boss who does his utmost to squeeze every last drop of surplus value out of his employees... I have absolutely no need for that.’

Next,

Lin Chu discussed a few more details before adjourning the meeting. The timing was just right, not too long and not too short: one hour and three minutes.

「At that moment.」

「In the audience.」

「Near the back.」

Bian Gaige stared at Lin Chu, somewhat dumbfounded. He felt a profound, heartfelt shock.

’This kid!’

’Heh!’

He hadn’t even finished his MBA courses—he’d barely just started—but he had a feeling that Lin Chu no longer needed to attend any MBA program.

The current set of management theories were mostly imported from the West. They had their unique strengths when it came to details, but strategically, they were completely outmatched by the most successful entrepreneurial project of the last century.

And the essence of Lin Chu’s philosophy seemed to be drawn directly from that very source.

’This kid!’

’Man, he was really saving up for a big reveal!’

However, Bian Gaige’s biggest worry was whether the company’s profits could keep up with Lin Chu’s philosophy and plans. If they couldn’t, then the whole thing would be a complete bust.

The productive forces determine the relations of production.

’But on second thought, it seems Lin Chu really doesn’t lack for money. Not at all.’

At this very moment, a strange sense of anticipation grew in his heart—if a company like this could actually succeed, it would truly be a breath of fresh air.

”Xiaoxi, I don’t think I was wrong about him this time. In any case, you don’t like your current job, so why not come here?”

Thinking this, Bian Gaige said to the young man beside him.

This was his younger son, Bian Xiwang, who had just graduated from Peking University last year.

Back in Xiangjiang, Lin Chu had asked Bian Gaige to find him a hundred Qingbei graduates. It had only been a few days, but he had already found them all.

After all, an annual salary package of over 400,000 was extremely attractive.

The young faces sitting in the back rows at that moment were the people he had recruited. He had brought them all over for the general meeting today.

Listening to Lin Chu’s speech, their eyes held various expressions. Some were excited, some were surprised, but most were curious.

As the brightest minds of their generation, every one of them was wondering—

’What kind of company is this?’

’What kind of boss is he?’

This speculation wasn’t about the company’s business itself—after all, Lin Chu had already made that quite clear. It was directed at Lin Chu himself.

’He really seems different from most bosses.’

’But, that’s just talk. Whether he can actually deliver on it remains to be seen.’

Bian Xiwang looked at the stage, then at his father. He thought for a moment, a strange light glinting in his eyes.

”Alright. I wasn’t really interested at first.”

”But hearing what he said, I’m actually quite interested. He’s got passion, but I wonder if he has the power to back it up?”

He said softly with a smile.

”The person is right, the idea is right, so the venture will be right.”

”He’s done everything a boss can do. The execution, the details, the plans—that’s your job and theirs.”

”It’s good that you’re interested. Give it a try. It won’t take long—half a year, a year at most—and you’ll see for yourself.”

Bian Gaige said in a relaxed tone.

...

After the meeting, Lin Chu didn’t leave in a hurry. He stood up and walked down from the stage.

He sat among the crowd, chatting animatedly with everyone. After discussing business, he took the time to connect with them on a personal level.

’My greatest significance to this company is providing the money, and serving as a spiritual symbol, a banner.’

’After all, whether it’s running a golf club, developing a media company, or opening offline retail stores, I don’t know the first thing about any of it. I’m a complete amateur.’

’But that’s no big deal.’

Lin Chu had a clear understanding of himself.

They talked about many things: everyday trifles, company details, development plans, personal growth...

Until...

Night fell outside.

After repeated reminders from the staff, everyone finally began to leave.

’For Lin Chu, an experience like this... was truly the peak of his life so far.’

And from this moment on, the first seed of this company’s core spirit was planted, the first spadeful of soil was turned, and the first watering was done.

Compared to his ’private moral failings’ in matters of love, when it came to his company, Lin Chu was determined to have a clear conscience.

...

Over the next few days, the company entered a period of sorting out the group’s internal personnel and procedures.

The general approach was what Lin Chu had described earlier—personnel, finance, and auditing would be centralized at headquarters, while the rest would be left to the individual divisions’ discretion.

It had the feel of a ”contracting-out” system.

For the golf club, Li Ziming’s proposed goal was that after the Gold Tournament, the club would remit seventy percent of its net profit to the parent company. The remaining thirty percent would be used for internal incentives and bonuses. 𝑓𝑟ℯℴ𝓂

Lin Chu agreed.

The ratio was quite reasonable. The golf club division had been profitable for the past two years, though it only made about a hundred million or so. In terms of capital, this was truly small potatoes for him. Its main purpose was for networking and for synergy with the retail business.

For the media division, Zhang Peng’s proposed goal was a fifty-fifty split of the net profit, but branch expansion would not require investment from headquarters.

After all, online businesses don’t require much fixed investment. The biggest costs are office space, labor, and traffic acquisition.

The media division was already close to breaking even. With products beginning to launch and the integration with retail, new sources of profit were already emerging.

For this, Lin Chu naturally had no reason to refuse. He agreed.

As for security and retail, there was no need to decide on a profit-sharing agreement for now. They would likely require investment for the next five years.

However, this was also within Lin Chu’s expectations.

’Invest away.’

’I was worried I had too much money to spend anyway.’

...

In terms of procedural consolidation, they implemented a unified online OA (Office Automation) system. There were already mature suppliers for this on the market; it was just a matter of creating some customized applications for their own company.

After all this was done...

Lin Chu felt that his workload had been reduced by at least 80%.

’Next, I only have two tasks left.’

’First, find a capable and reliable professional manager to be the general manager.’

’Second, find an absolutely trustworthy person to be the VP of Finance.’

’Once those two things are done, I can truly become a hands-off boss.’

’Still, there’s no rush. I can take my time finding the right candidates.’

’For now... vacation!’

’The Mid-Autumn Festival is coming up. I should go back and see my dad.’

”Ah Hao, let’s go! Back to the village!”

Lin Chu took his new driver, Wang Hao, and in his Rolls-Royce, left Peng City the day before the holiday, getting on the highway back to his hometown.

Ever since Lin Chu had assigned Wang Hao the daily tasks of reading and working out, he had completed them with both quality and quantity. With Gao Haitao being assigned abroad, Lin Chu naturally placed him in the driver’s position.

’After all, he’s absolutely one of my own people. Give him two or three years of training, and he’ll naturally be shaped into a capable person.’

This trip back to the village, Lin Chu’s main theme was... returning home in glory.

Primary objective: rebuild the family’s ancestral hall.

Secondary objective: see if there are any other promising talents to be found.
