Super Tycoon: I Beg You, Stop Pulling Stunts

Chapter 358: Chapter 246: You Don’t Have Enough Money, Nor Enough Women

Lan Kwai Fong in Central was already one of Xiangjiang’s landmarks—an essential stop for anyone looking for a night of drinking and fun.

As the host, Zhu Yixian had decided to make this the first stop of the night.

At least it was a safe, conventional choice.

The group took two Alphards, speeding toward the bar. Their moods soared along with the car’s velocity, and even the wind rushing in felt sweet.

Stick with the big boss, and you’ll be taken care of.

For everyone at tonight’s meeting, Lin Chu’s move to establish a group company was like doling out gold and silver. And after the spoils were divided, it was time for feasting and drinking.

Having a big brother like him was truly one of life’s greatest blessings.

And yet, Lin Chu was actually the youngest of them all.

At that moment, Lin Chu stuck his hand out the window, feeling the D-cup-like resistance of the wind at eighty miles per hour. He suddenly pushed his palm forward, mimicking the Buddha’s Palm, and couldn’t help but laugh out loud.

This meeting gave Lin Chu a sense of ’washing his hands of it all.’ His professional ambition was fading, and he was ready to begin a carefree life of ’financial freedom.’

As for how far the company would ultimately go, that was up to his brothers.

All things under a frosty sky compete for freedom.

”From now on, the last day of each month and the first day of the next will be our monthly meeting and a fixed holiday. For those two days, we’ll find a fun place, domestic or international, and just relax.”

Lin Chu casually established the new rule.

’The ratio of meetings to fun would be about fifty-fifty.’

’After all, the feeling of going out and having fun with a bunch of brothers was just awesome.’

”Awesome...”

”Jet-setting around the globe.”

”Not gonna lie, this is starting to feel like a club. I have a small suggestion: going forward, each person gets a plus-one slot to gradually bring in new members.”

This was Lu Ming’s suggestion.

”Sure, that works. The old bringing in the new.”

Lin Chu smiled and nodded, feeling that it was indeed starting to feel like a proper organization.

’And this kind of organization would be freer and more intimate than a company. But there was no need to come up with a new name for it.’

’Utopia was good enough.’

The group chatted the whole way, and in less than half an hour, they arrived.

From the outside, the bar street that Lan Kwai Fong occupied actually looked quite rundown—an alley with nineties-style architecture.

But, though it wasn’t even nine o’clock yet, the place was already crowded. There was a parade of fashionable, long-legged women in revealing outfits, and plenty of foreigners, both white and black. It felt very international.

The moment he stepped out of the car and into the alley, Lin Chu felt a strange blend of the past and present. The environment felt like his childhood, but the people were utterly modern.

Compared to the upscale, lavishly decorated nightclubs back on the mainland, the decor here was decidedly average, but it was brimming with a lively, down-to-earth atmosphere.

Zhu Yixian had already booked a table. They walked in with their arms around each other’s shoulders and ordered drinks.

Right now, it was an Arhat Array.

A pure Arhat Array.

They glanced at each other, licked their lips, and couldn’t help but laugh.

Lin Chu laughed too.

’Jin Zhenxian was already gone. The publicity stunt was over. She was paid by the day, and there was nothing particularly special about her performance. A taste was enough. Lin Chu really didn’t care.’

’But now, their table looked rather desolate.’

’It wasn’t exactly lame, though, since there were other Arhat Arrays in the bar.’

”What are you all looking at me for? The bar is full of girls. Do I have to hand them out? Go use your own skills, fuck!”

Lin Chu retorted with a laugh.

’For him, this kind of ”hunt” was now the most basic stage, completely without challenge.’

’He wasn’t even that interested.’

’But they could do as they pleased.’

And so, the men scattered like stars, using their table as a base as they began to prowl the surroundings for prey.

”Brother Chu, you’ve been all over the news lately. The internet is flooded with stories about you.”

As the host, Zhu Yixian naturally stayed put, asking casually with a smile.

”It’s just marketing. Building up some hype so I’m not actually seen as a bootlicker.”

Lin Chu said casually, taking out a cigarette and lighting it.

A waiter noticed, walked over, and made a gesture to stop him.

Zhu Yixian casually pulled out a wad of cash and handed it over. The waiter immediately fell silent and even thoughtfully brought over an ashtray.

Lin Chu: ...

’I have to fucking pay just to have a smoke!’

’Is there any justice in this world?’

’Is there no law?’

Smiling, Lin Chu exhaled a puff of smoke. He didn’t say anything more; it wasn’t worth wasting energy on such trivial matters. Through the curling smoke, he watched the men and women in the bar, his gaze gradually growing distant.

”What’s wrong? What are you thinking about?”

Zhu Yixian noticed Lin Chu’s detachment and raised his glass with a nonchalant smile.

”Nothing. Just pondering the meaning of life.”

PFFT!

Zhu Yixian nearly spat out his drink. ’What the hell? Pondering the meaning of life in a bar?’

”It’s career and love, obviously. Or to put it more crudely, money and women.”

Lin Chu glanced at him. ”You don’t get it. You don’t have enough money, and you don’t have enough women.”

Zhu Yixian: ?

Ugh!!!

’He knew in his heart that Lin Chu wasn’t just posturing.’

’Frankly, his own level of wealth couldn’t compare to Lin Chu’s current status, and neither could his own family’s patriarch. Lin Chu was probably at a level similar to his grandfather back when he had first made his fortune—the head of the family whose word was law, with no one to hold him in check.’

’For a big shot in that state, money and women were things he would never lack.’

’Now *that* was true freedom.’

He was at a loss for words, his gaze turning bleak as he looked at Lin Chu.

’That stung.’

Fortunately, Lin Chu was only lost in thought for a moment. It was just a fleeting impulse, and within a few minutes, he had it all figured out.

’I need to leave something behind in this world.’

’First, descendants. Or, to put it another way, my genes.’
