Super Tycoon: I Beg You, Stop Pulling Stunts

Chapter 357: Chapter 245: The Nine ”Giants

”Alright, that’s my line of thinking, and it’s the final plan. Go ahead and claim your tasks. If you can’t agree, fight it out. We’re all brothers here—if you can’t talk someone into it, beat them into submission.”

”I need the people I trust most for these key positions. As for the grunt work, we’ll just hire people. It’s not a big deal.”

Lin Chu said with an air of casual indifference.

The men were speechless.

After the initial shock wore off, they quickly broke into discussion.

Lu Ming: ”Fuck me, it feels like I’m dreaming. Am I getting carried to success again? No, seriously, I’m applying for Head of PR at headquarters. A small fry like me can’t be a big boss. I’m just suited to leading a bunch of cute female subordinates, wining and dining all day, and handling the support side of things.”

Lin Chu rolled his eyes at him and gave a weary wave of his hand. ”Fine, fine, whatever, you master of slacking. Fuck you.”

Liu Junfeng was much more serious. He smiled and said, ”The headquarters’ investment division is highly correlated with the private board. It wouldn’t be appropriate to merge us into the media company.”

Lin Chu smiled and nodded. ”Makes sense. You can go back to your old specialty. Oh, right, I also fucking invested in an internet company, didn’t I? Almost fucking forgot! Consolidate that, too.”

Of course, he hadn’t actually forgotten; he was just being glib.

Liu Junfeng smiled and nodded, his own role now settled. With a tactical lean, he rested back in his chair to watch the tigers fight from his mountaintop.

The real focus, however, was on Hu Ping’an and Ma Lin.

Ma Lin was panicking. Panicking hard.

He had only just started to get a handle on the retail side of things, and now it felt like his authority was about to be usurped.

He was desperately trying to read between the lines of what Lin Chu had said.

’What’s going on?’

’What are his plans for me?’

’Everyone here seems to be President Lin’s brother. I’m the only outsider!’

Hu Ping’an, on the other hand, wasn’t flustered at all. He just kept smiling, his arms on the table and his chin resting on his hands. He tilted his head, looking from one person to the next, and when he met their eyes, he would just smile without saying a word, making no attempt to contend.

His thoughts were very clear.

’Either way, my life belongs to Lin Chu now. Ever since he saved me, I’ve been living on borrowed time. And that’s not even mentioning how he helped pay off my debts, bought me a house, a car... He’s not my father, but he’s treated me better than one.’

’So, I’ll do whatever Lin Chu tells me to do.’

’This isn’t something worth fucking fighting over.’

’What is there to fight about?’

’Just follow the boss, no matter what!’

Gao Haitao’s position was also set. Even though the security company hadn’t been established yet, Lin Chu’s intentions were clear, so he wasn’t worried and felt no need to speak up.

Lin Chu’s gaze swept across the room, and he keenly observed the situation.

Too many positions to fill.

And the right people for them were clear, too.

There really wasn’t much to argue about.

After a moment’s thought, Lin Chu smiled. ”Alright, that leaves you two. Retail is a big, difficult piece of the pie. Ma Lin, I’ve been quite satisfied with your recent work. How about this: you handle the suppliers. Old Hu, you’re experienced, so you can go conquer new territory and open up the branch stores.”

”I’ll make this crystal clear: for this project, you’ll get the people you need and the money you need. But I fucking demand results. I don’t care if we lose money at first—I want you to build up the scale. Got it?”

The two of them exchanged a look.

Ma Lin smiled. ”I have no objections, President Lin.”

’He felt completely at ease now.’

’I’m still useful.’

’Besides, I am more familiar with the supplier side of things. With Peng City as the source, it’s a perfect fit in every way.’

’And I’ll be the client.’

Hu Ping’an glanced at Lin Chu and also smiled. ”I have no objections. You’re giving me the opportunity, so of course I’ll take it. To be honest, I’m pretty terrified. I never thought I’d end up in a position like this in my life.”

”But then again, wasn’t Liu Bang just a local from Peixian, and he ended up conquering the world? Stay in the seat long enough, and you’ll naturally fucking learn how to do the job. Of course, we’ll need a professional team to support us in the beginning. First things first, we need to recruit our troops.”

”This time, even if I run the company into the ground, I won’t kill myself. I’ll just find a way to earn it all back for you.”

He said with a relaxed smile.

As a veteran entrepreneur who had dabbled in many industries, Hu Ping’an had never managed an operation of this scale. But as the saying goes, even if you’ve never eaten pork, you’ve seen a pig run. He knew he was here because of trust, not ability.

And...

This world isn’t short on capable people; it’s short on platforms where they can showcase their talents.

As for professionals to do the work? You just hire them.

His own job was to manage these hired talents and experts, to coordinate them, and to push them to get things done right.

It was as simple as that.

Fucking Liu Bang didn’t know how to wage war either. Han Xin was a far better general, but who ended up as emperor? Wasn’t it Brother Bang?

Hearing him say this showed he truly had a top-tier understanding of the situation.

Lin Chu couldn’t help but smile and nod.

”Good. That attitude is exactly what I want to see. Recruit. Hire people. You guys handle it, I won’t get involved.”

”The relationship between the parent company and your subsidiaries is one of father and son. I’ll give you money when you need it, but you have to do the work yourselves. I’ll only set the general direction; you guys will handle the details. When you make a profit, you’ll remit a portion to headquarters—don’t make me look bad. If you lose money, I’ll cover it for now, and you can figure out how to pay me back later.”

”In short, we all get rich together. I plant the trees; you make them blossom and bear fruit.”

”We’re the founding faction. Right now, there are just nine of us. Later on, when we bring in the professionals or new blood and they start delivering results, we’ll make this table bigger. We’ll cross that bridge when we come to it.”

”That’s all. Any questions? If not, meeting adjourned.”

No one raised a hand.

Lin Chu stood up without another word.

”Fuck, that was a damn efficient meeting. Not even half an hour! So refreshing!”

”Let’s go, brothers! Time to get a drink!”

”I’ll call Zhu Yixian. Tonight’s on Young Master Zhu.”

Bian Gaige was dumbfounded, seeing how quickly Lin Chu had arranged everything.

’So, why exactly did you invite me here?’

But since the matter was resolved, he wasn’t about to go looking for trouble.

’That was the easiest hundred thousand yuan he’d ever made.’

However...

Just as everyone was getting ready to leave, Lin Chu walked over with a wide grin.

He slung an arm around Bian Gaige’s shoulder, acting as if they were sworn brothers.

”Teacher Bian, sorry for leaving you out just now. But as you can see, this bunch of brothers of mine has never managed anything big. They need professional guidance, and we’ll need you to vet some of our strategies. How about being an advisor? A special advisor. A private advisor to the President’s Office?”

Bian Gaige mulled it over for a moment, then smiled. ”Headhunting and consulting. Those two areas, I can handle. I have a team.”

”Oh, you’re too kind, President Lin, far too kind. Don’t call me Teacher. Xiaobian is just fine... You’re the client, after all. The client is always king.”

His words were clearly teasing and lighthearted, giving off the vibe of a mischievous old codger.

’Hey, making money is nothing to be ashamed of.’

’Whoever has the money is the boss.’

Hearing this, Lin Chu couldn’t help but let out a laugh. ”Alright, no problem. In that case, I’ll announce our first joint project. I want one hundred of this year’s recent graduates from Qingbei. Get them for me. I’ll pay you a commission per head.”

”If getting them all from Qingbei is too much of a stretch, you can expand the search to the C9 League, but they have to be promising prospects.”

The man was a Peking University professor; that title alone was a golden seal of quality.

And as for Qingbei students, that went without saying. The nation had expended countless resources to select them; they were, without a doubt, the brightest minds from every corner of the country.

And how much would it cost to hire them?

Peanuts.

People who are quick learners will definitely take off in just a few years, as long as you give them enough resources, opportunities, a good platform, and let them accumulate experience.

He could completely afford the trial-and-error costs associated with every step of this process.

Bian Gaige smiled and nodded. ”Sure thing. A piece of cake. If you asked me to find you a hundred migrant workers, I really couldn’t do it. But university students? They’re as common as cabbage! You can find them everywhere!”

Lin Chu was speechless.

’This guy really isn’t afraid of getting canceled, is he?’

’Just listen to him. Does he sound like an old professor dedicated to educating the youth?’
