Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 1650: Chapter 1634: New Program

That’s right, Zhao Hongru went insane.

This news soon passed from Nie Dechang’s mouth to Huo Sining’s ears.

Upon learning that Zhao Hongru’s lab was burned down in a fire, that he’d put up his house as collateral, and was deeply in debt, eventually going completely mad and constantly talking about finding some remedy, both Huo Sining and Gu Xu couldn’t help but sigh at the outcome.

However, Huo Sining couldn’t muster any sympathy for someone like him, so after hearing the news, she put it out of her mind.

After obtaining a large batch of ancient artifacts from Adrian, Huo Sining returned to the Imperial Capital and soon received a new assignment.

Previously, Huo Sining had recorded an episode of “Folk Treasure Hunt” at Jingcheng TV Station, which had sparked great reaction in terms of ratings and public praise.

Later, through Han Wen’s invitation, she participated in the Spring Festival Gala performance. Her magic act became an overnight sensation, turning her into a household name.

This time, because the Olympics were about to begin, inspired by Jingcheng TV Station, CCTV also wanted to create a program.

CCTV hoped to make a special program about the traditional culture of Huaxia history, using ancient artifacts to explain Huaxia’s five thousand years of history, somewhat similar to the format of “Hundred Schools Lecture.”

CCTV hoped to use this special program to capitalize on the Olympics, promoting Huaxia’s culture internationally, enabling Huaxia civilization to reach global audiences.

As Huo Sining had now risen to fame in the collecting world, with a certain influence both domestically and internationally, and as she was now a popular public figure, many TV stations and corporate companies wanted her as their spokesperson, showing her significant renown. Therefore, CCTV’s directors and producers naturally thought of Huo Sining first when considering who should lead the program.

However, as Huo Sining had entrusted all her work to Liu Cheng and had previously instructed him to decline all trivial matters, so when CCTV contacted Liu Cheng, he politely rejected CCTV’s invitation without hesitation.

CCTV, being a national-level entity, did have some pride. After being refused by Huo Sining’s agent, the production team decided on the spot to find a replacement.

However, after searching for a while, the show couldn’t find a suitable candidate. Because this program was of great significance, selecting a guest host was naturally very cautious, not only needing to be knowledgeable but also paying attention to aesthetics. The guest’s image was also important, so after considering all factors, Huo Sining was still the most suitable option.

Although Huo Sining was young, her achievements were extraordinary, and she was a recognized face both domestically and internationally, known by many. This fact gave her an advantage even over Zhou Shitao.

Moreover, Huo Sining’s appearance was also very good, having participated in the Spring Festival Gala, well-acquainted with the stage presence, and possessing a strong aura naturally able to hold the audience, her presence would surely attract a large audience.

The requirements for an international promotion ambassador were indeed very strict, and once the production team was aware of Huo Sining’s resume, any other candidate seemed unsatisfactory. They screened several guest candidates from the collecting community, and each had issues in some aspect or another, making none as fitting as Huo Sining.

With an ideal candidate in mind, settling for second-best always felt like compromising. After much deliberation, the team decided to try again to persuade Huo Sining to take the lead role.

Finally, after attempting different avenues, the production team had no choice but to contact Han Wen.

“Director Han, our station head values this program immensely. We’ve been instructed to use any means necessary to invite Miss Huo, but as you know, our level doesn’t allow us to reach hers. We contacted Miss Huo’s agent and were directly refused. So we’re left with no choice but to ask for your help. We know you have a connection with Miss Huo; only you can reach her.”

The show’s producer almost bowed in front of Han Wen.

After looking over the program’s plan, Han Wen also felt optimistic about it. Considering things, she understood why the producer had come to her; because, ultimately, this program was tailor-made for Huo Sining.

“Alright, I’ll ask her, but I can’t promise anything.”

Upon hearing this, the producer was instantly delighted: “Sure, it’s enough to have your attention; we know it’s not something we can force.”

Han Wen pulled out her phone and dialed Huo Sining’s private number right in front of the producer.

This number was obtained during the time when Huo Sining was participating in the Spring Festival Gala, when Han Wen had asked her directly for it. However, she hadn’t called this number since then. After so long, Han Wen wasn’t sure if Huo Sining would even remember her.

When the call connected, a lazy voice was heard: “Han Wen sis, what brings you to call me now?”

Han Wen laughed: “I heard you are in the Imperial Capital recently and wanted to see if you have time. Why don’t we all get together with Chen Yu for a meal?”

Upon hearing this, Huo Sining knew Han Wen had some business to discuss, although she couldn’t guess what Director Han might need. After thinking, she decided to agree: “Sure, I’m free at the moment. Where will we meet?”

Looking at the producer, Han Wen said, “I have a friend who opened a restaurant in the Western Suburbs; the ambiance and food are great. I’ll take you to try it. I’ll send you the address on your phone later.”

After hanging up the phone, the producer couldn’t help but give Han Wen a thumbs-up.

Han Wen didn’t reveal any emotion, just gestured to the program plan in the producer’s hand, saying:

“I have arranged to meet Huo Sining for dinner and will talk about your program then. Leave me a copy of the plan. If she’s willing to consider it, I’ll show it to her. Ultimately, whether she agrees or not is beyond my control.”

The producer nodded and placed the plan on Han Wen’s table, looking pleased: “Thank you for this! If this works out, the program team will definitely treat you to a meal.”

Han Wen smiled: “No need for a meal. Just have your station head praise me to our station head and let him give me a raise.”

The producer laughed heartily and left, feeling cheerful.

Han Wen thought for a moment, then pulled out her phone again to call Chen Yu, explaining this program on Channel Ten and mentioning the production team hoped to invite Huo Sining to lead it.

Chen Yu heard and laughed: “That’s good news! My sister-in-law is not stubborn, and she’s quite easy to talk to. Alright, I’ll join you for sure. Let me also take a look at that plan.”
