Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 1642: Chapter 1626: The Reincarnator’s Advantage

Huo Sining printed out the form and handed it to Adrian. Upon seeing the items listed on it, even the well-prepared Adrian couldn’t help but have his face contort.

He wasn’t aware before that Huo Sining had twelve pieces of Picasso’s work, which is why he rashly offered the one-to-twenty exchange.

But now seeing this list, he realized he had made a very big mistake.

Many of the items on this list are national treasures. Even as an outsider, he had learned a lot about Huaxia civilization from his years in the museum and knew that some Huaxia relics are unique pieces, irreplaceable with money.

”Miss Huo, forgive me for not being able to agree to your request. The items on this list are too outlandish; many of them are invaluable treasures. Even your esteemed country might not find a second one.”

Adrian said with difficulty.

Huo Sining had anticipated this outcome, but she didn’t give up, instead, she smiled and said, ”Mr. Earl, what you said is inherently contradictory. If these items were available in my country, why would I go to such great lengths to come here to exchange for them?”

”Moreover, isn’t Pablo’s work invaluable in your eyes too? Every piece of Mr. Pablo’s work is unique. Looking around the world, could you really find another just like it? Is the friendship between the Albert family and Mr. Pablo not worth more than these hundreds of Huaxia relics?”

”Additionally, I remember Mr. Earl you mentioned before that our transaction is a form of compensation from the Albert family to Huaxia Country. If that’s the case, shouldn’t the Albert family show a little sincerity?”

Adrian’s expression stiffened. Huo Sining’s words were clearly using his previous statements against him, yet her points were valid, leaving him no grounds for rebuttal.

At this moment, Adrian felt like dying; he never expected this Eastern woman to be so shrewd and greedy. He even thought of breaking off the deal, but knowing these were twelve pieces of Picasso’s work, he simply couldn’t let them go.

Seeing that Adrian didn’t outright refuse, Huo Sining knew there was still hope. She continued her psychological strategy, starting to seriously analyze things for Adrian:

”I’m not trying to undervalue my country’s relics either, but I think Mr. Earl should be fully aware that the market price of Huaxia Country’s artifacts is actually quite low internationally, incomparable to Mr. Pablo’s works in value.”

”Even if the Albert family exchanges these more than two hundred pieces of Huaxia relics, it would only be a drop in the ocean and wouldn’t significantly impact your museum. But using these stored Eastern art pieces to exchange for twelve pieces of Mr. Pablo’s work, even a three-year-old could do the math.”

”Another point, between these more than two hundred Huaxia relics and the twelve Picasso works, if put on display, which do you think would attract more visitor attention? I believe Mr. Earl already has the answer to that.”

Adrian was silent.

This was precisely why he initially proposed the one-to-twenty exchange to Huo Sining. The status and attention Picasso’s paintings receive internationally far exceed those of Huaxia relics by several magnitudes.

Over the years, he diligently studied Huaxia culture to understand the value of those artifacts. However, not every collector or artifact enthusiast globally grasps Huaxia’s civilization. In their eyes, the value of these relics doesn’t compare to twelve Picasso works.

Most importantly, he hoped the Albert family museum could stand out and become a global focus. These twelve Picasso pieces could be a turning point. Once he acquired them, the museum’s stature would change dramatically. With such leverage, it wouldn’t be long before the Albert family made a name and reputation worldwide.

So, considering the sensational impact and future benefits, Adrian’s internal balance tilted towards Picasso.

Huo Sining was a formidable negotiator, consistently using words and psychological hints to remind Adrian that losing more than two hundred pieces wouldn’t affect the museum’s overall situation. But the twelve Picasso pieces were different. Without them, the museum would remain mediocre.

Yet, internally, Huo Sining was anxious too. She knew that after the Imperial Capital Olympics ended, Huaxia would gain global recognition. At that point, the spread of Huaxia culture globally would draw attention to Huaxia Country’s relics.

Coupled with the promotion by international antique dealers and auction houses, Huaxia artifacts would see a price surge in the global market. By then, it would be laughable to exchange any Picasso work for Huaxia antiques. Even a one-for-two deal would make Adrian reconsider.

But now it’s still July, with some time before the Olympics. Adrian wasn’t a clairvoyant and couldn’t foresee Huaxia’s triumph and worldwide fame in this year’s Olympics, nor the global craze for Huaxia culture that would follow.

Adrian wasn’t aware of the upcoming drastic changes in the next month, nor did he know that the world antique market would see a revolutionary change after the Olympics. At this moment, all he could focus on were the twelve Picasso pieces in Huo Sining’s hands. He understood that even if he didn’t buy these artworks, someone else would quickly snatch them up.

With Picasso’s current international market stature, many wealthy individuals would eagerly line up to make deals with her.

So, after considerable weighing, Adrian gritted his teeth and finally decided to agree to Huo Sining’s terms of the trade.

The moment she received the affirmative reply, Huo Sining was elated inside, fearing Adrian might change his mind. She quickly had Mr. Earl sign his name on the list.

When Adrian from Albert family signed his name in black and white, Huo Sining’s heart, which had been hanging, finally settled.

She immediately sent the good news to Zhou Shitao and then went on to carefully select the items from the list, verifying the authenticity of each one.
