Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 1645: Chapter 1629: Greedy Director Huang

The items filled two armored military vehicles, flanked by four military jeeps for protection, as they were escorted from Imperial Capital Airport back to the Forbidden City.

The reason being, Huo Sining’s private collection museum is still under construction, and the underground warehouse isn’t complete yet. For now, these items can only be stored in the Forbidden City’s warehouse.

Following the military vehicles was the car of Chief Lu, who was responsible for picking up Huo Sining and his party. The car also arrived at the Forbidden City, and all the boxes were moved into its warehouse.

This was also arranged by Huang Zhenlong during the day. To ensure that Huo Sining’s artifacts had a proper place after returning to the country, Huang Zhenlong arranged for an overnight inventory and tidied up the warehouse, specifically allocating a room to store Huo Sining’s repatriated antiques.

Once the items were stored, the old men couldn’t wait to go inside and open the treasure chests.

As one box was opened, the elderly gathered eagerly to take a look. On the other side, Zhou Shitao took out the list they made last night, carefully examining each treasured item from the box, confirming there were no issues before ticking off each corresponding item on the list.

Over two hundred artifacts were unboxed and inspected, taking more than two hours to complete.

”They are all authentic. All the items we listed yesterday, over two hundred, are here, not a single one is missing.”

After the inventory, Huang Zhenlong shouted excitedly.

Looking at those items, even someone like Huang Zhenlong, who had experienced great joy and sorrow, couldn’t help but be moved to tears.

”Great, these pieces have finally come home.”

Qin Lianshan’s eyes glistened with mist, and the old men collectively choked up, tenderly touching these national treasures, none of them could find more words to say.

At this moment, silence speaks louder than words.

Huo Sining’s once-anxious heart finally settled. She took a deep breath and looked at Chief Lu beside her:

”Grandfather Lu, with the batch of artifacts I brought back from Dongyang, I’m very well prepared. Can the procedures for my private museum be processed now?”

Chief Lu glanced at Huo Sining and said, ”Do I even need to ask you? Everything’s been prepared a long time ago, I’ll have someone bring it to you later. But let me just say upfront, I’ve sorted out the paperwork for you, however, everything else, you’ll need to handle by yourself.”

Huo Sining nodded: ”I’m aware of that.”

Chief Lu still couldn’t help but worry: ”This private museum won’t be easy to handle. Security is of utmost importance; each of these items is a cultural gem and cannot afford the slightest mistake. Don’t let down so many people’s expectations, you can’t afford any carelessness!”

Huo Sining laughed: ”We’ve given this a lot of thought already. Last year, Gu Xu set up a security company for me called Red Umbrella Beauty, hiring retired veterans to specifically train in security matters. When the private collection museum is finally built, these people will be put to use.”

Chief Lu was somewhat surprised by this and couldn’t help but reach out and tap Huo Sining on the forehead:

”Haha, a stitch in time saves nine, it seems I’ve worried for nothing. Indeed, with you being so shrewd, even able to fool those Brits, how could you not have such plans?”

”Alright then, I won’t interfere with this exhibition museum matter. Just as your master said, the future of this world belongs to you young people, we’ll just watch.”

”But remember, with your capabilities, don’t get arrogant, stay humble and prudent. Also, if possible, keep trying to bring those Huaxia treasures lost abroad back home. You can use whatever means necessary, as long as the sky doesn’t fall, your grandpa will support you.”

Huo Sining felt a warmth in her heart and nodded solemnly: ”Don’t worry, this is just the beginning.”

They stayed in the Forbidden City until ten in the evening, reluctantly walking out of the warehouse.

”Huo girl, these items in the warehouse are collecting dust. Why not lend them to your Grandfather Huang? I could organize a special exhibition for them, what do you think?”

Outside the warehouse, Huang Zhenlong couldn’t help but make this suggestion, his eyes twinkling as he sidled up to Huo Sining with the request.

Huo Sining’s forehead immediately became lined with black lines. How could she forget that Director Huang had this quirk of wanting everything to be part of the Forbidden City?

”Old Huang, now that’s a bit shameless, isn’t it? These items are just being stored temporarily in your warehouse. Didn’t you hear what Huo girl just said? Her private museum is under construction and will be completed soon. Once finished, these items will go to her private exhibition hall. If you borrow her items for an exhibition first, how will her exhibition attract attention when it opens, what gimmick would bring in visitors?”

Zhou Shitao certainly stood up for his disciple on such matters, frowning at Huang Zhenlong’s shameless request, pointing out it was too much.

Being the younger generation, Huo Sining couldn’t straightforwardly refuse Huang Zhenlong’s request, but Zhou Shitao had no reservations, so it was best for him to speak for Huo Sining.

Witnessing his master defend her like this, Huo Sining’s eyes showed gratitude.

No matter what, her master was still quite useful in critical moments, at least he could ward off unreasonable requests from some of the old seniors.

Qin Lianshan also felt it was misguided: ”Old Huang, we’re all aware of your temperament, but this is too greedy. Over the years, Huo girl hasn’t stopped providing you with good items, yet now you’re eyeing her warehouse stuff. If you genuinely like these pieces, once Huo girl’s exhibition hall opens, you can visit anytime. I’m sure with Huo girl’s temperament, she wouldn’t charge us entry fees, right?”

Huo Sining couldn’t help but laugh at that: ”Grandpa Qin, what are you saying? How dare I charge your fees? I’ll make sure you all get a Platinum Card, so you can visit anytime, free of charge!”

Qin Lianshan nudged towards Huang Zhenlong: ”See, Old Huang, didn’t I say Huo girl is generous? She’s clever and knows her business. Stop coveting her stuff. Here we old folks sit idly at home doing nothing while she charges into the fray abroad, not knowing how much effort and money it took to secure these items. If you still take advantage of her, that’s too unscrupulous.”
