Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 1638: Chapter 1622: Asking Master for Help

Indeed, Huo Sining’s guess was completely accurate. After returning to the hotel, they did not wait until the next day; Adrian’s call came that very night.

This old Mr. Earl completely disregarded any gentlemanly demeanor at this point. It was past eleven at night, and while everyone including Huo Sining had already gone to bed, Adrian’s call came through, asking anxiously: ”Miss Huo, does our agreement still stand?”

Huo Sining was still a bit dazed from sleep. After a few seconds of clarity, she asked: ”Mr. Earl, has your family meeting concluded?”

Adrian chuckled and said: ”Yes, Miss Huo, I apologize for today, but I have good news for you. Our family has no objections concerning the terms of my agreement with you discussed in the meeting.”

Huo Sining had anticipated this outcome. Yawning, she replied: ”In that case, Mr. Earl, our agreement stands. Regarding the transaction, let’s discuss it tomorrow.”

”Miss Huo.” Adrian became anxious on the spot.

This old Earl clearly valued the paintings in Huo Sining’s possession, fearing that any changes might arise overnight. He quickly said:

”Miss Huo, if possible, could I see your paintings now? There are many items in the collection, and Miss Huo may not be able to select them all in one day tomorrow. Why don’t I send someone to bring you and Mr. Gu over, so we can proceed with the transaction directly when the lawyer arrives tomorrow...”

Huo Sining was taken aback, instinctively wanting to refuse. But upon reconsideration, Adrian’s reasoning wasn’t entirely unfounded. She didn’t want to delay any longer either; it would be best to quickly select the two hundred artifacts to be transported back home.

Moreover, Huaxia and England have a time difference, and it’s just after 4 PM in the Imperial Capital—perfect to call Zhou Shitao Huang Zhenlong for their input on which artifacts they want her to bring back, making her selection more organized.

”If Mr. Earl, you consider it no trouble, then of course.” Huo Sining replied.

Adrian was delighted upon hearing this: ”No trouble at all, no trouble at all. Then please wait a moment in the hotel, Miss Huo. I will send a butler to fetch you two shortly.”

After hanging up the phone, Huo Sining hurriedly called on Gu Xu and quickly made a call back to Huaxia.

As soon as the call was answered, Ji Kun’s voice came through: ”Little junior sister, what’s wrong? Aren’t you in England? Why are you calling now? Isn’t it the middle of the night over there?”

Huo Sining urgently replied, ”Now’s not the time to explain all that, senior brother— is Master there?”

Ji Kun said, ”No, Master went to visit Elder Qin. Elder Qin has fully recovered, and several senior folks decided to gather at his place. Why?”

Upon hearing this, Huo Sining quickly said: ”That’s good to know. I’ll call Elder Qin directly then; I guess those seniors are all at his home now, which is actually better and less trouble.”

Saying that, Huo Sining hurriedly hung up and dialed the Qin Family.

Once connected, Qin Haiyan’s voice came on: ”Who is it?”

Huo Sining laughed, ”Aunt Yan, it’s Huo Sining!”

Hearing it was Huo Sining’s call, Qin Haiyan immediately became eager: ”Oh! It’s Huo, darling. I heard you went to England; when are you coming back?”

”Maybe in a few days, Aunt Yan. I heard my Master and others are visiting Elder Qin today. Are they still there?” Huo Sining couldn’t afford to chat and went straight to the point.

Qin Haiyan heard the urgency in Huo Sining’s voice and replied quickly: ”They are, they are. Just in the yard playing chess. Let me call over Master Zhou. Hang on.”

”Okay.”

After roughly two minutes, hurried footsteps could be heard, and Zhou Shitao’s unique dialect came through the receiver: ”What’s going on?”

Huo Sining had already organized her thoughts beforehand. As soon as Zhou Shitao spoke, she succinctly recounted discovering Picasso’s original works in the ocean and the deal with Adrian, then asked:

”It seems Adrian can’t hold his peace. It’s almost midnight here, yet he insists I go over. I reckon he fears any changes if delayed. Anyway, the one-for-twenty deal is definitely a win for me.”

”However, I’ve seen the items in his collection museum, and there are too many categories. It’s definitely impossible for me alone to select all of them at once, so I might have to trouble you, Master, along with Mr. Huang and Elder Qin.”

Listening to Huo Sining, Zhou Shitao understood what his disciple aimed at.

This elder was now a leading figure in the realms of collection and appraisal, having gone through myriad experiences. Plus, given that Huo Sining had previously stolen numerous artifacts from the Dongdu Museum during her Dongyang study, this was no longer anything novel to Zhou Shitao.

Upon learning that his disciple would bring back more than two hundred artifacts from England, Zhou Shitao was only slightly surprised before quickly regaining his composure.

After a brief pause, Zhou Shitao remarked: ”This transaction is promising, but you must remain vigilant. These Brits aren’t easy to deal with; who knows what schemes they might harbor in private? You must be cautious during the deal, ensuring you aren’t trapped.”

”Additionally, have that Adrian print out the list from his collection museum, then directly send it to me via fax. We seniors will study it and figure out which items are most valuable.”

With Zhou Shitao’s suggestion, Huo Sining was overjoyed: ”Alright, please inform Mr. Huang and others. I’ll call you once I arrive at Albert Castle.”

Having just finished the call with Zhou Shitao, the old butler sent by Adrian had already arrived downstairs at the hotel. Huo Sining didn’t bother waking Su Qingqing, and quietly left the hotel with Gu Xu, heading to Albert Castle again.

Upon returning to the castle, Adrian was already waiting at the door. Seeing Huo Sining and Gu Xu alight from the car, holding the brocade box with twelve Picasso paintings, his eyes showed delight and urgency, stepping forward rapidly to greet them:

”Miss Huo, Mr. Gu, I’ll take you to the collection museum now.”

Adrian waved the keys in his hand and turned to lead Huo Sining and Gu Xu towards the underground collection room.
