Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 1388: Chapter 1373: Return Voyage

Everyone’s gaze followed the direction pointed out by the monitor operator’s finger.

Not far on the sea’s surface, a woman stood upright on the water, her feet seeming to rest on top of the sea, yet the strange thing was she continually stayed in this position without sinking.

The morning sun had just broken over the horizon, with the rising sun shining blood-red, illuminating the woman’s face. As the sea breeze blew, her long hair wafted in the air, and her long dress fluttered around her. From a distance, she resembled a mythical Sea Demon, appearing both mysterious and eerie.

”Is that... a person or a ghost?”

All the people in the water shivered uncontrollably because the woman standing there resembled a ghost.

However, before they could continue speaking, the woman on the water swiftly moved towards them. Gradually, her body began rising, and a black object appeared beneath her feet. This object grew larger, finally revealing a head and dorsal fin like that of a small mountain, which was indeed the blue whale’s head and dorsal fin!

The woman stood boldly on top of the blue whale’s head, looking down at everyone with an arrogantly commanding presence in her eyes.

Upon seeing this scene, everyone gaped with their mouths wide open, for no one had ever seen such a spectacle. Someone could actually stand on the back of a blue whale, commanding a giant whale—a scene that might only appear in ancient myths?

”No, this is definitely not a human; it’s a goddess, surely the Goddess protecting our Yamato Empire, and she must have come to rescue us from our suffering!”

The captain, upon witnessing this miracle, was immediately overcome with excitement, staring wide-eyed at the goddess standing on the whale’s head, urgently shouting, ”Save us, Goddess, save us! We are fishermen from the Yamato Empire, part of a civilian scientific organization specializing in whale research!”

Huo Sining was left speechless upon hearing this, her eyes wide open, unable to comprehend what on earth these Dongyang people were thinking, how could their minds work so bizarrely?

They were actually calling for her help—did they not realize she was the one who threw them into the sea?

”Save you? On what grounds? You’ve wantonly killed innocents, slaughtered countless whales, sparing neither young nor pregnant ones. Who will save them?”

”Do you not think this is the High Seas, where you can act recklessly? Have you not also driven out Huaxia fishermen, competed maliciously, even resorted to ramming Huaxia fishing boats? With such heinous sins, what right do you have to ask for help?”

”Aren’t you a research organization? Has your whale research made it to the dining table? Do you determine a whale’s age and growth state by the subtle differences in taste? Tenderer meat is delicate, while older meat has more bite?”

”If that’s the case, let the fish in the sea have a taste of you, let them decide which of you is older, which is fresher?”

Huo Sining sneered as she looked at the struggling crowd in the water, self-important and brutal, but when reality hit, all they could do was yell and plead for help, completely insignificant.

These people struggled in the water, even trying to swim back to the fishing boat, attempting to grab onto the rescue ladder to climb back, but due to their sins, the area was filled with the blood of great whales. Besides the group of Tiger Sharks attracted by Qibao before, another unknown group of sharks appeared not far away.

As these sharks approached, danger loomed closer. The seamen in the water, unaware, continued to exert themselves swimming toward the fishing boat, causing huge commotion, soon attracting the attention of the Tiger Shark group.

These Tiger Sharks were drawn by the scent of blood, but since the blue whale’s wounds had been healed by Huo Sining using Spiritual Energy, these Tiger Sharks couldn’t catch prey, wandering chaotically in the area stained with bloodwater.

Now the commotion caused by these people in the water, the sound drew the sharks over immediately, launching an attack on this disordered group of Dongyang people.

”Ah... help... sharks...”

The first Dongyang person bitten on the buttocks by a shark let out a piercing scream, causing panic among the multitude of seamen in the water, each looking into the water.

One look was enough to scare the wits out of them.

Below the water, there were a dozen ferocious sharks!

The sailors were terrified, some trembling all over, their faces white as a sheet, some even peeing themselves out of fear.

At this moment, no one cared about much else, as selfish Yamato people used their peers as stepping stones to save their own lives.

Someone stepped on their companion below to grasp the escape rope ladder on the fishing boat, only to have their leg grabbed by someone from behind as soon as they got close.

In their frantic struggle, someone got injured, and the increasing scent of blood drove the sharks into a frenzy, launching attack after attack, a bloody Taotie feast taking place in this abyssal-blue, unsettling sea.

By this time, Huo Sining was already riding on the blue whale’s head, drifting away with the ocean currents.

After throwing those Dongyang people into the sea, Huo Sining never intended to concern herself with their fate again. With the group of Tiger Sharks present, she could already foresee these people’s end. If anyone did survive by some stroke of luck, unless extremely favored by fate, the chances of survival for these people were slim.

It’s not that Huo Sining was cold-hearted or wantonly killing; she did this merely to scare others into compliance. These rogue Dongyang fishermen had grown unruly on the Pacific Ocean, and if no stop was put to them, they’d truly believe they were the kings of the ocean!

After drifting with the juvenile whale for a while, Huo Sining brought Qibao out too.

Though the little one was quite intelligent, at heart, it was still childlike. Seeing Huo Sining take him to ride on the giant whale, the little fellow got overly excited, hopping about restlessly on the whale’s back. Finally, spotting a bright idea, he insisted on using Huo Sining’s phone to take a selfie.

The chance to ride on a giant whale across the sea truly didn’t come every day. Although Huo Sining initially intended to refuse, seeing Qibao’s eager eyes, she swallowed the refusal back, momentarily softened, nodded in consent, and took out the phone from her storage ring.

After taking pictures, the two sat for a while longer, enjoying to their heart’s content. They then slid off the whale’s back and bid a reluctant farewell to the young whale before Huo Sining ended this ocean journey, riding back to Hongqiao Seaport on a dolphin, stealthily making her way ashore at an unnoticed beach.
