Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 1385: Chapter 1370: A School of Sharks

Perhaps sensing Huo Sining’s goodwill, the giant whale remained still, but its eyes were still fixed on Huo Sining. It had been injured once and was afraid of being hurt again.

”Don’t be afraid, I know you’re hurt. I’m here to help you pull out that harpoon. Don’t worry, it’ll be okay soon!”

Huo Sining focused intently on the young whale, soothing it with her Spiritual Energy while looking sincerely at the large creature.

Because she wasn’t sure if the giant whale would suddenly become agitated, Huo Sining continuously used her Spiritual Energy to calm it, trying to gain the young whale’s trust.

After a few minutes, the last hint of wariness in the blue whale’s eyes finally faded.

It let out a soft moan towards Huo Sining, as if pleading for her help, with a helpless and desperate look like a lost child, which would evoke sympathy in anyone who saw it.

The young whale may have understood Huo Sining’s words. It lifted its head and made a soft noise from its belly. Then it slowly turned over to expose its injured abdomen, revealing the Whale Harpoon Gun bound with a heavy iron chain before Huo Sining’s eyes.

The sight before her was shocking to Huo Sining.

On the belly of the blue whale, there were three blood holes the size of a large basin. The front end of the Whale Harpoon Gun had three iron claws with barbs, piercing through the whale’s tender skin and embedding deeply into its flesh.

At a glance, Huo Sining estimated that the iron claws were at least a foot long, lodged in the young whale’s belly. As the whale struggled in pain, the claws dug in deeper, leaving the surrounding flesh blurred and bleeding continuously, a sight that made one’s scalp tingle.

In fact, because the whale’s body was enormous, such a wound was equivalent to a human accidentally cutting a finger.

However, due to the pain, the giant whale kept struggling, trying to shake off the Whale Harpoon Gun, which caused the iron claws to sink deeper.

If the Whale Harpoon Gun was not removed in time, the giant whale would die from blood loss even if not captured by a whaling ship.

In this predicament, Huo Sining had no choice but to think of a way to remove the iron chain and Whale Harpoon Gun. However, the chain was connected to the whaling ship at the moment, and due to the tautness, it was not easy for Huo Sining to pull the thing out of the young whale’s belly.

Fortunately, Huo Sining had a variety of tools in her storage ring, especially mechanical chainsaws used for Stone Gambling, as she frequently purchased stones from various places and always kept these tools handy in her Space in case of need.

Taking out a portable rechargeable mini chainsaw, Huo Sining quickly sawed through the iron chain at the back of the Whale Harpoon Gun.

With the chain cut, it was easier to remove the Whale Harpoon Gun.

After pulling out the sharp iron claws, the wounds bled even more, and the blue whale was evidently in pain, but with Huo Sining’s Spiritual Energy controlling it, the creature was smart enough to realize that Huo Sining was saving it, so it stayed still, allowing her to work.

Luckily, Azure Pearl’s Spiritual Energy was becoming more abundant, and although the large basin-sized wounds were terrifying, Huo Sining was still able to heal them.

With the Spiritual Energy pouring into the blue whale’s belly and integrating with its wounds, the three basin-sized wounds quickly stopped bleeding and began to heal visibly.

After more than ten minutes, the wounds on the giant whale began to scab. Sensing the Spiritual Energy dwindling, and confident that the young whale was no longer in danger, Huo Sining withdrew her Spiritual Energy.

The large creature seemed to realize that Huo Sining had healed its wounds, and as the intense pain in its belly subsided, the blue whale shook its massive body, spewed water towards the surface, and let out a long cry full of joy.

Now freed, the ocean sprite was very pleased. It circled around Huo Sining and even tried to sweep her with its tail as a gesture of gratitude. If Huo Sining hadn’t stopped it in time, that enormous tail would have crushed her frail body.

What a joke, the weight of that tail could match an elephant. If it really swept over me, wouldn’t I become minced meat?

Having played with the blue whale for a moment, Huo Sining urged the creature to leave.

The oil tanker had not been dealt with yet, and although the blue whale was rescued, this didn’t mean it was safe. With those relentless Dongyang fishermen, if they found out that the whale had escaped their iron chain, they would likely launch a second attack.

This place was not safe to stay longer, so Huo Sining hurriedly drove the giant whale away.

Although it was large, the giant whale was a young calf. Having been saved by Huo Sining, it regarded her as a friend and wanted to be close to her. However, it was disheartened and aggrieved when Huo Sining unceremoniously shooed it away, reluctant to leave, turning back every few steps.

Feeling a bit helpless, Huo Sining was contemplating how to lure it away when Qibao arrived, riding the dolphin and frantically swimming towards her.

Behind Qibao and the dolphin was a dense mass of dark fins.

Seeing this, Huo Sining also felt a chill run down her spine and quickly opened her arms to catch Qibao.

After Qibao reached Huo Sining’s location, she quickly included Qibao in her frame and simultaneously chanted the Invisibility Spell.

The Invisibility Spell could conceal objects within two meters of Huo Sining’s vicinity, so once Qibao and the dolphin were pulled behind her, the pursuers quickly lost their target.

With his head and face covered in sweat and seawater, yet his eyes sparkling, Qibao panting heavily and excitedly asked Huo Sining:

”Sister, how about that? Am I impressive or what? Haha, it was so fun. I teased this group of sharks and pelted them with stones, and they turned around and started chasing me. Look, I lured a whole bunch of them. Is this enough, or should I go find more elsewhere?”

Seeing Qibao’s joyful demeanor, Huo Sining immediately realized that he had gotten carried away. She broke out in cold sweat and quickly grabbed this little fellow, stopping him: ”Enough, enough, this is more than enough for those Dongyang bastards on the ship to deal with!”
