Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 1378: Chapter 1363: Out to Sea Again

As for Chief Lu’s reply, it’s not just Huo Sining, even Su Qingqing and Wu Jun couldn’t help but snicker as they listened to Huo Sining’s account.

Huo Sining could guess that after reading Huaxia’s response to the letter, the expressions on the faces of Dongyang diplomats would surely be quite spectacular, and the people from the Watanabe Group likely would be so angry they’d want to spit blood.

Although the Jade Clothing is precious, there are indeed a few sets left in Huaxia, so even if one is truly lost, the loss wouldn’t be too severe;

However, the Han Wunu Kingdom’s Gold Seal is unmatched, with no duplicate, so this time the Dongyang people must be pushed to the brink.

Huo Sining was surprised by what Huang Zhenlong promised in front of the fans.

Initially, when she transported a large batch of antiques from Dongyang, she had already reported to Chief Lu, wishing to establish a private collection museum.

At that time, Chief Lu didn’t refuse but didn’t immediately agree either.

Now that Huang Zhenlong has directly brought up the matter, Huo Sining suddenly found herself in a difficult position, hurriedly explaining to Chief Lu: “Grandfather Lu, regarding the private museum, it’s not my idea to let Director Huang mention it. He didn’t inform me beforehand, this matter I…”

Before Huo Sining could finish explaining, Chief Lu waved his hand, smiling as he looked at Huo Sining: “This matter has been approved by me. The idea of establishing a private collection museum was discussed with your master two months ago, but we didn’t want you to know early and get distracted at the treasure appraisal conference.”

Uh…

Huo Sining’s eyes widened in shock, looking at Chief Lu.

“You’ve performed well this time, so consider the private collection museum a reward for you from us old fellows. But when it comes to site selection and establishment, you’ll have to handle it yourself; we won’t interfere.”

“Additionally, the Imperial Jade Seal is a national first-class cultural relic, and it’s not suitable to be stored in your private museum. After it’s built, the Jade Seal can be exhibited temporarily at the opening, but after three months, it must return to the national treasury.”

As Chief Lu said this, he kept watching Huo Sining, worried she might show displeasure.

Huo Sining was already mentally prepared; she anticipated this outcome when she first presented the Jade Seal, understanding that Chief Lu agreed to let her establish a museum as compensation for taking back the Jade Seal.

“I’m fine with it being stored in the national treasury, but you must promise me there will be no mishaps this time. This item is not comparable to the Yue Kiln Celadon or Jade Clothing; if the Jade Seal is lost or swapped, it would be a considerable disgrace.”

Having lingering fears from the Secret-Color Porcelain Bowl and Jade Clothing incidents, Huo Sining agreed to Chief Lu’s request while giving him a bit of trouble.

Sure enough, talking about it made Chief Lu frown, nodding solemnly: “You can rest assured, no one would dare touch the national treasury. As for last times’ Yue Kiln and this time’s Jade Clothing, I’ve already arranged manpower to conduct a thorough investigation, ensuring those involved are brought to justice!”

How the investigation proceeds, whether there’s any negligence or culprits escaping—these are not matters for Huo Sining. What she needs is Chief Lu’s attitude; surely, the effort she invested to retrieve the items shouldn’t be squandered, benefiting some foreigners instead?

Even if not everyone can be punished, at least a few examples should be made, deterring those attempting to exploit power and position for profiteering from cultural relics, ensuring they fear undeserved intentions on their ancestors’ legacies.

After returning to the Magic Capital, Huo Sining soon decided to take Qibao on a sea trip.

Xianyu Shop hadn’t supplied fresh fish for a while, selling only regular ornamental fish, leading to dwindling business.

Since this shop was the first one Huo Sining established after leaving Baiyun Village, marking her first pot of gold, she has a strong attachment to it.

Now the shop has changed several batches of employees, so Huo Sining simply hires underclassmen from S University as part-time helpers. Several students take turns managing the shop, and Old Fish from the opposite fish shop aids with ornamental fish supplies.

Even though Xianyu Shop’s earnings have decreased significantly, Huo Sining doesn’t mind the money; closing the shop is not an option. So, after returning from the Imperial Capital, her first task was ensuring a batch of fresh wild fish for Xianyu Shop.

It’s already mid-November, right when freshwater fish are abundantly available, and the crayfish have yet to leave the market, all plump and juicy.

That night, Huo Sining drove with Qibao to Hongqiao Port. As soon as entering the Yellow River, Qibao couldn’t wait to reveal the mermaid’s true form, happily swimming in the water.

Huo Sining didn’t mind, injecting spiritual energy into the river, starting to fish extensively.

After a long break from fishing, there’s still plenty of fish in the Yellow River, especially attracted by the spiritual energy; they eagerly swam towards Huo Sining’s nets, plump and heavy.

Busy organizing and sorting fish into rings, when she felt enough fish were caught to fill the shop’s three large tanks, Huo Sining stopped.

Then, Huo Sining and Qibao started heading towards the sea, using spiritual energy as bait. As expected, within half an hour, a silvery body emerged from the ocean, occasionally leaping out happily.

Despite a long absence, the little dolphin had grown into a big dolphin but remained very close to Huo Sining. Upon seeing her, it sprayed water over her face, leaving Huo Sining exasperated yet amused.

Allowing the dolphin to circle her a few times and rub its head affectionately against her cheek, Huo Sining and Qibao promptly sat on the dolphin’s back, directing it swiftly towards the ocean.
