Urban Martial Saint

Ye Qing slowly nodded his head and said in a deep voice, ”That’s very likely, unless it was someone from the South Ridge Sect who set the fire. Otherwise, their multiple properties couldn’t have burned down so quickly.”

”No way?” Handsome Fatty Wang, nearby, exclaimed in surprise, ”Here in Bei Wu City, it’s been the main base of operations for the South Ridge Sect for several years. Not to mention the famed instruments they’ve acquired, just the properties they own in Bei Wu City are worth billions. Especially that underground antique trade market, almost entirely built by them, brings in billions annually. Would they really torch their own assets?”

”They can even collude with the Japanese; there’s nothing they can’t do!” Ye Qing paused, then continued, ”Besides, compared to acquiring so many famed instruments, these properties aren’t worth much. Each instrument is extremely valuable, adding up to billions. Hmph, the South Ridge Sect people have spent a lot of money on this.”

Handsome Fatty Wang glanced at the truck behind him, a hint of envy flashing in his eyes. He swallowed and said, ”It’s true. These instruments are definitely worth more than their properties. But, they wouldn’t need to burn them down, would they? Could we actually take them all over?”

”It’s not about whether we can take over their properties or not...” Ye Qing looked at Handsome Fatty Wang and said deeply, ”I suspect that the South Ridge Sect is hiding some huge secret that they don’t want outsiders to know. So, they’ve burned everything to ensure we can’t find any traces or figure out what they’re doing!”

”Exactly!” Huangfu Ziyu exchanged a glance with Ye Qing, nodding slowly, and said in a deep voice, ”Burning their properties is definitely an attempt to cover something up. It seems the South Ridge Sect’s goals are not as simple as we imagined.”

”I think we should inform General Helian and Uncle Shen about this,” Ye Qing said, ”The South Ridge Sect has been operating in Bei Wu City for so many years, acquiring so many famed instruments, and even having ties with the Japanese. They must have sinister intentions, and there might be a big plot. We should be prepared in case there really is a conspiracy; we can handle it when the time comes!”

”Didn’t you say before that they were after that Great Tomb?” Huangfu Ziyu said, ”Could they be hiding this matter?”

”I don’t think so,” Ye Qing shook his head and said, ”I’ve already found out about that, and there’s no need for them to hide it anymore. Moreover, the Japanese scheming for that tomb is ultimately about seizing Huaxia’s treasures; that’s what we really need to guard against!”

”That’s true,” Huangfu Ziyu nodded and said, ”Alright, I’ll contact Uncle Helian and Master right away to inform them of this matter.”

Ye Qing nodded and turned his head to look at the noisy crowd ahead but didn’t prepare to pursue the South Ridge Sect members. Since the South Ridge Sect was determined to burn all the properties, it showed they were ready to abandon Bei Wu City. Maybe they’ve already left, so even if Ye Qing were to look for them, he might not find them or any clues.

Before long, Huangfu Ziyu came back after the call and said to Ye Qing, ”I’ve already informed Uncle Helian and Master.”

”What did they say?” Ye Qing eagerly asked.

”Uncle Helian has already dispatched people to investigate the South Ridge Sect in Bei Wu City,” Huangfu Ziyu paused, then lowered her voice and said, ”Master didn’t say anything.”

Ye Qing sighed lightly; he knew that the Southern Fist King Shen Tianjun’s most important issue now was curing his granddaughter Shen Lingwei’s eyes. As for other matters, he really didn’t have the energy to deal with them.

Now, with more than half a month before Medicine King Mountain opens, by then, the Southern Fist King Shen Tianjun will definitely enter the mountain to gather herbs, which is the most important matter. For Shen Tianjun, whether he can gather the herbs is even more important than retrieving those family famed instruments!

”In that case, let’s leave this matter to the Seven Steering Committees of Hong Alliance to handle for now,” Ye Qing turned to look at the truck and said, ”We must hurry to Beimang Mountain and rescue Yin Xianzi and Ding Lianshun first; this is quite crucial!”

”Alright!” Huangfu Ziyu nodded and looked at Handsome Fatty Wang, ”What about this fatty?”

”It’s fine, I can just follow you guys!” Handsome Fatty Wang replied readily.

”That won’t do!” Ye Qing shook his head and said in a deep voice, ”This time, we are going out for an adventure. If you follow us, and we encounter danger, we might not be able to save you!”

”Then what to do?” Handsome Fatty Wang asked, ”How about we leave here first?”

”That won’t work either!” Ye Qing shook his head again, saying in a deep voice, ”You stole things from Shen Family Manor, you must return them.”

”I never said I wouldn’t return them, but you won’t let me follow you, and you won’t let me leave first. So, what do you want Fat Lord to do?” Handsome Fatty Wang said, looking helpless.

”How about this?” Huangfu Ziyu suggested, ”Let them send the things from Shen Family Manor back, how about that?”

”Huh?” Ye Qing was taken aback, looking at Huangfu Ziyu, ”How can that work? This fatty is extremely sly. If he leaves with the things from Shen Family Manor, it would be hard for us to find him again!”

”Geez, what are you saying?” Handsome Fatty Wang immediately got unhappy and said, ”Am I that kind of person? It sounds like I would keep your stuff. Since I promised, I’ll definitely deliver the things to Shen Family Manor!”

Ye Qing ignored Handsome Fatty Wang, as he knew this person best. Huangfu Ziyu just gave a slight smile and said, ”Don’t worry, I have a way to make him obediently send the things to Shen Family Manor.”

”Oh?” Ye Qing was slightly surprised, not knowing what method Huangfu Ziyu had.

Huangfu Ziyu turned to Handsome Fatty Wang, gave a slight smile, but her smile made Handsome Fatty Wang feel a chill, and his body involuntarily shuddered.

”You... what do you want to do?” Handsome Fatty Wang’s voice was somewhat trembling.

”Don’t worry, I won’t lay a finger on you!” Huangfu Ziyu smiled, suddenly bypassing Handsome Fatty Wang and directly walking to the people behind him.

These people shivered in fright, staring at Huangfu Ziyu with astonishment, not knowing what she was planning to do. In fact, even Ye Qing was puzzled; could Huangfu Ziyu really control Handsome Fatty Wang?

Huangfu Ziyu glanced at these people, suddenly stepped forward, pointing a finger at the throat of the person in front of her. This person involuntarily opened his mouth, and Huangfu Ziyu directly shoved a pill into his mouth, pressing hard, and the pill went straight into his stomach.

”Cough, cough, cough...” This person immediately covered his mouth, coughing beside them, but what had gone into his stomach couldn’t be coughed out.

The remaining people were greatly astonished, unsure of what exactly Huangfu Ziyu had fed that person. However, their intuition told them it definitely wasn’t anything good. So, they instinctively closed their mouths.

But in front of Huangfu Ziyu, did these people have any chance to resist? Huangfu Ziyu repeated her actions, feeding each of them a pill in turn. In the end, all of these people had been forcibly fed a pill by Huangfu Ziyu.

”What... what is this...” one man asked irritably while coughing.

”Do you know what my nickname is?” Huangfu Ziyu said with a faint smile.

The men exchanged glances, and one of them said in a low voice, ”East State... East State Poisonous Mantis?”

”That’s right!” Huangfu Ziyu said with an unperturbed smile, ”East State Poisonous Mantis, what do you think I fed you?”

The people trembled all over with fear, speaking in a quivering voice, ”This... this wouldn’t happen to be poison, would it?”

”Hahaha...” Huangfu Ziyu laughed heartily, her laughter causing her body to shake with allure. Yet now, in the eyes of these people, she looked like a demon, making their bodies tremble even more.

”Calling it poison wouldn’t be inaccurate!” Huangfu Ziyu laughed, ”What you swallowed is called Three-Day Gut-Breaking Powder.”

Upon hearing this, the individuals were instantly stunned, some so frightened that they almost collapsed.

”Of course, since it’s called Three-Day Gut-Breaking Powder, there is a time limit. As long as you take the antidote within three days, nothing will happen, and it might even strengthen your body.” Huangfu Ziyu paused, then laughed, ”But if you don’t get the antidote after three days, well, you might really break your guts.”

The group was so scared they were nearly in tears, one of them stammering, ”Miss Huangfu... Miss Huangfu, we... we have no quarrel with you, why... why are you doing this to us? We won’t dare not to listen to you!”

”Obey, and you can have the antidote!” Huangfu Ziyu smiled, ”If you don’t obey, you would have been dead already, why waste breath here.”

”Miss Huangfu, we... we’ll definitely obey, please... please grant us the antidote...” a man said tremblingly.

”No rush.” Huangfu Ziyu said, ”Help me with something, and once you do it well, I’ll give you the antidote.”

”What... what do you want us to do?” They hurriedly asked, each eager to stay alive, itching to help Huangfu Ziyu accomplish her task and get the antidote immediately.

”It’s simple, help me return the Famed Instruments from the Shen Family Manor to the Shen Family Manor!” Huangfu Ziyu glanced at them, ”Directly fly from Bei Wu City to Xi Hang—there’s no danger on the plane. Once you arrive at Xi Hang, it’s the Shen family’s territory, even safer. Just like delivering a parcel, all you have to do is get the Famed Instruments from the airport to the Shen Family Manor. Shouldn’t be difficult for you, right?”

After hearing this, Ye Qing immediately laughed; he finally understood how Huangfu Ziyu managed to control Handsome Fatty Wang. One must admit, Huangfu Ziyu’s method was indeed clever!

(I’m away on business, so there will only be two chapters tonight. I’ll make up for the one I owe within two days. Sorry for any inconvenience this causes you all.)
