Urban Martial Saint

Ye Qing came to Bei Wu City this time mainly to find Handsome Fatty Wang and retrieve those famed instruments he stole from the Shen Family. Although he learned about the South Ridge Sect’s earth-shattering secret along the way, slightly altering his plan, the task of finding Handsome Fatty Wang remained unchanged. Even if he can’t use these famed instruments now, Ye Qing still needs to find Handsome Fatty Wang and return them to the Shen Family Manor.

Hao Wu was the person sent by the Seventh Sect Leader specifically to keep an eye on Handsome Fatty Wang. So, wherever he is surveilling must be where Handsome Fatty Wang is hiding. Ye Qing didn’t need to find Hao Wu, and just outside this manor, he easily determined Handsome Fatty Wang’s location.

”This fatty, I thought he was hiding very carefully, but unexpectedly he’s just hiding in this place,” Ye Qing muttered in surprise, fully aware that Handsome Fatty Wang was not someone usually easy to catch. With his cunning personality, it’s hard to believe he’d hide in a place like this, so easily spotted.

”Which fatty?” Monkey asked in confusion beside him.

Ye Qing ignored him and whispered to Huangfu Ziyu, ”Zi Yu, you go back first and wait. I’ll go in and fish out this fatty.”

”Alright.” Huangfu Ziyu nodded simply. Earlier, Ye Qing caused quite a commotion in the South Ridge Sect’s manor, yet he exited smoothly. So, this minor matter here seemed like nothing to Ye Qing, she didn’t need to worry at all.

”Big brother, what about my antidote?” Monkey asked anxiously.

”Shut up! Once I finish my business here, you’ll definitely get your antidote!” Ye Qing replied irritably.

Monkey felt visibly discontent, but opened his mouth and said nothing in the end. Because, in front of Ye Qing, he really didn’t have any say.

Huangfu Ziyu and Monkey drove away first, leaving Ye Qing alone. Although he pinpointed Handsome Fatty Wang’s hideout, Ye Qing didn’t immediately go in to find him. He knew the South Ridge Sect’s eyes and ears would certainly be all around Handsome Fatty Wang’s courtyard. If he went in directly, the South Ridge Sect would immediately be alerted, but Ye Qing wasn’t ready to scare them off just yet.

After circling around the courtyard, Ye Qing already had a good grasp of the situation. As he expected, the courtyard was surrounded by people from the South Ridge Sect. The houses all around had hidden guards, all intensely watching this courtyard. Any slight movements around it, and they would see everything clearly.

It’s safe to say that whether someone left from inside or entered from outside, these people would clearly see them. It was virtually impossible for Ye Qing to sneak in without being noticed.

Figuring out the surroundings, Ye Qing felt much more assured. He quietly moved to the back of one of the houses, and from behind, approached two of the sentries unnoticed. The two were completely oblivious, not knowing someone was near.

Ye Qing extended both hands, pressing on these two’s coma acupoints. They didn’t even have a chance to react before they slowly slumped over, falling asleep.

This coma acupoint was recorded in the Acupoint Seeking Technique, and when impacted by inner strength, it becomes blocked, causing a person to fall asleep. The duration of the sleep depends on the striker’s power. However, upon waking, the person would have no idea what happened, just thinking they accidentally dozed off, never dreaming someone had interfered.

Ye Qing only lightly pressed on these two’s coma acupoints, making them sleep just over an hour. For Ye Qing, this time was entirely sufficient.

Using the same method, Ye Qing successively pressed the acupoints of the watchers in several other houses, putting them all to sleep. Consequently, a gap appeared in the originally tight surveillance circle. This entire area had its guards put to sleep by Ye Qing, thus they couldn’t keep watch anymore, and Ye Qing took the opportunity to climb over the courtyard wall into the yard.

Although the watchers elsewhere weren’t struck by Ye Qing, they simply couldn’t see the situation over here. So, no one knew of Ye Qing’s entry into the courtyard.

Upon entering the courtyard, Ye Qing first quietly observed his surroundings. Handsome Fatty Wang was extremely cunning. If he dared to boldly show up here, he must have something to rely on, and Ye Qing didn’t want to fall into his trap.

Fortunately, there was nothing peculiar in this courtyard, except what puzzled Ye Qing was that the place was too quiet, as though there wasn’t a single person around.

Ye Qing, now possessing senses far sharper than ordinary people, listened carefully to the ambient sounds in the courtyard. Yet, there wasn’t any human noise; instead, there were plenty of insect chirps in the corners, making Ye Qing very curious.

Logically, with his current strength, standing in the courtyard, he should be able to clearly hear everything happening around this house. However, after being here for so long, he hadn’t heard a peep from Handsome Fatty Wang, making him even more perplexed.

Could it be that Handsome Fatty Wang isn’t home? That’s impossible. If Handsome Fatty Wang weren’t home, why would the South Ridge Sect people be so anxiously watching this yard?

Ye Qing walked into several rooms, went around all of them in the yard, and still didn’t find anyone. It seemed Handsome Fatty Wang really wasn’t in the house, making Ye Qing even more perplexed.

The people outside have been watching for so long; if Handsome Fatty Wang had gone out, they would have noticed long ago. Why would they station so many people to keep an eye out here? But now, with Handsome Fatty Wang absent, it seems those people outside don’t know how he slipped out. What’s going on here? Could it be that Handsome Fatty Wang truly has a way to sneak out under the watchful eyes of so many people?

Ye Qing thought for a moment, and suddenly, a notion struck him. He immediately entered a nearby room and slowly stomped on the ground, listening carefully to his surroundings. Room by room, he checked them all, until finally, in one room, Ye Qing heard a different sound when he stomped the ground.

”Just as expected!” Ye Qing’s spirit lifted. He circled around the room, carefully observing the ground. Finally, in the corner of the room beside a cabinet, Ye Qing found something amiss.

There was a bit of dirt attached beneath the cabinet, which was not noticeable unless you inspected closely.

Ye Qing reached out and pushed the cabinet, discovering it was light enough for an average person to easily push with one hand. He pushed the cabinet aside, revealing a large hole beneath it, big enough for someone to jump through.

”That bastard, he’s dug another hole here again!” Ye Qing cursed inwardly. He remembered the time Handsome Fatty Wang pulled a heist at Wan Yan Manor. At that time, Handsome Fatty Wang had rented a house and dug a tunnel. So Ye Qing had suspected Handsome Fatty Wang had dug another tunnel to escape and began searching for the tunnel in the house, unexpectedly finding it to be true.

Seeing this hole, Ye Qing was even more certain that Handsome Fatty Wang had no good intentions in Bei Wu City. He probably came here to con the South Ridge Sect. However, this fatty sure has guts; daring to mess with the South Ridge Sect, doesn’t he fear death?

But thinking about how Handsome Fatty Wang had stolen from both Wan Yan Manor and Shen Family Manor, Ye Qing was relieved. This fatty is greed incarnate; when greed takes hold, he doesn’t care about anything, including death.

Ye Qing jumped directly into the pit. It was crudely dug, seemingly just a temporary escape route for Handsome Fatty Wang from this yard. Luckily, the hole was big enough to accommodate the large body of the fatty, making it easy for Ye Qing to walk through it.

Ye Qing followed the tunnel, walking approximately a li in distance, then the hole ascended. Ye Qing followed the hole upwards, almost reaching the surface, when he heard faint sounds from above.

Ye Qing immediately slowed down, carefully approached, and was just able to make out a conversation from outside.

”Hey, Fat Wang, do you really think this plan will work?” a man asked. ”The South Ridge Sect isn’t easy to deal with. If we fail this time, none of us will walk out alive!”

”Nonsense, when have I, Fat Wang, ever acted without preparation and certainty?” Handsome Fatty Wang’s voice came through, making Ye Qing inwardly furious, wishing he could go up and kick that fatty.

”You’re just full of it. Last time at Wan Yan Manor, you bragged shamelessly. What happened? We failed and got caught by Wan Yan’s people. Luckily someone saved us, or we’d be reincarnating by now,” another voice said.

Ye Qing was taken aback, realizing these people were the same ones who attempted the heist at Wan Yan’s, part of Handsome Fatty Wang’s old crew. But these guys really have guts, almost dying at Wan Yan Manor, yet not learning their lesson, and daring to mess with the South Ridge Sect this time.

Handsome Fatty Wang promptly replied, ”We failed at Wan Yan’s, but that wasn’t my fault. If Ye Qing hadn’t brought people to cause trouble, we could have emptied Wan Yan’s ancestral tomb without them knowing. It’s all because of that little bastard Ye Qing, not a flaw in my strategy.”

Below, Ye Qing gritted his teeth, realizing that damned fatty was cursing him outside like this.

”It’s all the same, no matter what, we were discovered. The South Ridge Sect folks are even more ruthless than Wan Yan’s. Fatty, I’m telling you, if we really fall into their hands, we won’t have a life to live!”

Handsome Fatty Wang chuckled, ”Alright, don’t worry, I’ve got this. Last time Ye Qing messed things up, but he’s not around this time, so our plan is foolproof. We’ll definitely flip the South Ridge Sect upside down!”
