Urban Martial Saint

The Third Sect Master was very strong, but in front of Ye Qing, his strength meant nothing. Once grabbed by Ye Qing, he couldn’t help but be pulled back. At the same time, his wrist acupoints were firmly grasped by Ye Qing, making his whole body weak and incapable of resisting.

The Grand Sect Master frowned immediately. He dashed forward and chopped down towards Ye Qing’s head with a palm.

Ye Qing let out a cold shout, used his other hand to grab the Third Sect Master’s waist and raised him above his head to block the Grand Sect Master’s palm. If the Grand Sect Master struck down, he would kill the Third Sect Master first.

Sure enough, the Grand Sect Master didn’t strike down. He quickly changed direction to bypass the Third Sect Master and attacked Ye Qing from the left.

The Grand Sect Master’s speed was superior to the Third Sect Master, and his ability to change moves was incredibly fast, making it hard to defend against. However, Ye Qing was now different from before. Every time before the Grand Sect Master changed moves, Ye Qing’s inner strength had a subtle fluctuation, allowing him to sense the direction of the change and rapidly defend against it.

Five times in succession, each time the Grand Sect Master changed moves, Ye Qing could sense it in time and use the Third Sect Master’s body to block. After five such times, the Grand Sect Master never gained an advantage and instead circled Ye Qing several times, making himself irritated.

”Ye, do you dare to fight me hand to hand?” the Grand Sect Master shouted in a deep voice.

”If you want to fight, fight. Enough with the nonsense!” Ye Qing retorted casually. Of course, he wouldn’t release the Third Sect Master. After all, Handsome Fatty Wang and the others were still behind. If he let go of the Third Sect Master and the Grand Sect Master entangled him, Handsome Fatty Wang and the others couldn’t possibly fend off this Third Sect Master.

”Despicable!” The Grand Sect Master roared angrily and charged again, throwing several punches towards Ye Qing.

It must be said, the Grand Sect Master’s strength was indeed extraordinarily powerful, arguably the top among all the top-level masters that Ye Qing had encountered. Judging by the Grand Sect Master’s skill, even if Northern Martial Zen and Prince Wan Yan were combined, they wouldn’t be his match. He was nearly at the level of a peak master.

No wonder the South Ridge Sect was buying famed instruments in Bei Wu City without anyone daring to cause trouble. Among the Nine Great Gate Masters, even the weakest was a top-level master. And this Grand Sect Master was extremely formidable, about to become a peak master. Such a force, not just ordinary martial arts families, even large forces like the Seven Steering Committees of Hong Alliance, wouldn’t want to provoke them.

The Seven Steering Committees of Hong Alliance, although they could certainly solve the South Ridge Sect, it would cost them significantly if they fought hard, something the Seven Steering Committees of Hong Alliance didn’t want to see. Hence, even large forces like the Seven Steering Committees of Hong Alliance turned a blind eye to the South Ridge Sect’s actions, not confronting them.

The Grand Sect Master circled Ye Qing for a while, each time Ye Qing could easily evade his attack. This made him surprised but gradually understand that rescuing the Third Sect Master from Ye Qing was basically impossible. So after circling Ye Qing a few times, he suddenly bypassed Ye Qing from behind. However, this time he didn’t attack Ye Qing, but instead hurried towards Handsome Fatty Wang and the others.

Ye Qing had been preparing for the Grand Sect Master to do such a thing, after all, Handsome Fatty Wang and the others had no power to resist in front of the Grand Sect Master. Unexpectedly, the Grand Sect Master went to deal with Handsome Fatty Wang and the others so quickly.

Seeing the Grand Sect Master quickly approaching Handsome Fatty Wang, Handsome Fatty Wang was frightened and retreated immediately. But with his bulky body, how could he possibly escape the Grand Sect Master’s grasp?

”Catch!” Just as the Grand Sect Master was about to grab Handsome Fatty Wang, Ye Qing’s cold shout came from behind, accompanied by the Third Sect Master’s exclamation.

The Grand Sect Master quickly turned his head, before he saw Ye Qing, a black shadow descended from above, it was the Third Sect Master.

The Grand Sect Master reacted swiftly, immediately extending both hands to catch the Third Sect Master’s body, preventing him from hitting the ground directly.

At the same time, Ye Qing rapidly rushed over, just in time to stand between the Grand Sect Master and Handsome Fatty Wang and the others.

”Grand Sect Master, with your strength, attacking a group of people who don’t know martial arts, wouldn’t you fear losing face if this spreads?” Ye Qing asked coldly.

The Grand Sect Master put the Third Sect Master aside, just about to speak, when he was amazed to find the Third Sect Master slumped down on the ground.

”What happened?” the Grand Sect Master asked in surprise.

”No... no strength...” The Third Sect Master replied weakly, ”This kid, he… he pressed my acupoints...”

The Grand Sect Master’s face changed, he turned to glance at Ye Qing and said in a deep voice, ”I didn’t expect you’re a point acupoint master too.”

”I know a little.” Ye Qing replied calmly, when he had grabbed the Third Sect Master earlier, he took the chance to press several major acupoints on the Third Sect Master’s body, temporarily sealing his inner strength. Otherwise, Ye Qing wouldn’t have thrown the Third Sect Master over.

”Hmph, so what if you know acupoint pressing!” The Grand Sect Master picked up the Third Sect Master, casually tossed him onto the sofa, then pointed at Ye Qing and said coldly, ”You are still no match for me!”

”Whether I’m your match or not, we’ll know once we fight!” Ye Qing replied straightforwardly. After having fully opened his meridians, his strength had increased vastly. Having already faced off against top-level masters like Prince Nalan, the Grand Sect Master’s strength, though formidable, couldn’t compare to Prince Nalan at all!

The Grand Sect Master said coldly, ”For a young man to have your strength is indeed not easy. However, not knowing the immensity of heaven and earth will ultimately lead to a great loss!”

”Only the greedy will suffer a great loss!” Ye Qing replied coldly.

”Greedy?” The Grand Sect Master looked slightly surprised, not understanding what Ye Qing meant. But soon he figured it out and said coldly, ”You’re calling me greedy? You’re here to steal my things and dare to call me greedy? Ridiculous!”

Actually, the Grand Sect Master hadn’t understood Ye Qing’s meaning at all. He thought Ye Qing was talking about his acquisition of many famed instruments, while in fact, Ye Qing was referring to his scheme regarding the Great Tomb of Guiguzi.

”Enough, stop talking nonsense!” Ye Qing, worried about Huangfu Ziyu at the cliff’s edge, didn’t want to waste words with the Grand Sect Master and waved his hand directly, saying, ”An elder once said, if you can fight, don’t talk. Are you going to fight or not?”

The person Ye Qing referred to was naturally the Bloody Monk. The Bloody Monk was just like that, using fists to speak rather than wasting words. This was also why the Bloody Monk’s reputation was so resounding, he was simply too belligerent!

”Fine!” The Grand Sect Master laughed loudly and said, ”Then let me see how strong you really are, direct disciple of the Northern Fist King, Li Changqing!”

As the Grand Sect Master spoke, without any visible movement, he directly charged towards Ye Qing. When he was about two meters away, he finally took a step forward, his right fist rushing forward with a fierce wind sound towards Ye Qing.

The power of the Grand Sect Master’s punch was far stronger than the previous ones, producing a sound as if it was tearing through the air. Even with Ye Qing’s current strength, he was deeply shaken. It was clear that earlier, when he caught the Third Sect Master, the Grand Sect Master hadn’t used all his strength. But now, he was unleashing his full power!

”Ha!” Without thinking much, Ye Qing let out a loud shout, mobilizing all his strength, his meridians groaning with pain as he heavily countered with a punch.

Their fists collided, sending a thunderous boom echoing, both of them shaking and taking three steps back simultaneously.

”Ah?” The Third Sect Master exclaimed in surprise, witnessing the scene. It seemed he never expected Ye Qing to be able to push back the Grand Sect Master, showing that their strengths were evenly matched.

”How did you cultivate such Inner Strength?” The Grand Sect Master was also bewildered, staring at Ye Qing and saying in a deep voice, ”Even if you’d started practicing from the womb, it wouldn’t be possible to have such powerful Inner Strength!”

That’s obvious. Ye Qing’s Inner Strength was accumulated over many years by the Northern Fist King, Li Changqing, reaching the pinnacle of what a human body could hold. An ordinary person would need at least forty or fifty years to reach this level.

Understandably, among the Five Unmatches of the World, Great General Helian Tiehua was considered the most remarkably gifted, only reaching peak strength at the age of forty-five through childhood training. Yet, Ye Qing, so young, barely in his twenties, had such Inner Strength—how could people not be astounded?

Ye Qing was equally shocked, the Grand Sect Master’s strength exceeded his expectations. Had he not further tempered his meridians in the daytime, he wouldn’t be the Grand Sect Master’s match at all. Even now, with his significant progress, the best he could achieve was a draw with the Grand Sect Master!

”Don’t worry about how I got this Inner Strength!” Ye Qing retorted coldly.

”Alright, let’s let our fists do the talking!” The Grand Sect Master shouted coldly, charging again, swiftly unleashing five palm strikes in succession, each stronger than the last.

Knowing the Grand Sect Master’s strength, Ye Qing dared not neglect, promptly employing all his Inner Strength, even when his meridians screamed with pain, he didn’t dare slow down. At the same time, he executed the Wing Chun Fist taught by Southern Fist King Shen Tianjun, most effectively in close combat, blocking the Grand Sect Master’s five palm strikes in succession.

”Great Wing Chun Fist!” The Grand Sect Master exclaimed, his attacks accelerating, palm after palm striking at Ye Qing, speed and power both reaching the acme. Onlookers like Handsome Fatty Wang could hardly see his attacks, only seeing a figure circling Ye Qing rapidly, while Ye Qing himself seemed like a spinning top, following the figure.

The Grand Sect Master’s attacks were extremely fast, but Ye Qing’s Wing Chun Fist was reputed for its invincibility in close quarters, prioritizing defense. Even with the Grand Sect Master’s powerful palm force and swift speed, he couldn’t breach Ye Qing’s defense. On the contrary, after a prolonged exchange, neither gained any advantage.

However, during this time, changes began within Ye Qing’s body. The most noticeable was that the meridians, which had been painfully stretched by Inner Strength before, no longer hurt as much. In this battle, Ye Qing’s meridians were also gradually being tempered and strengthened!
