Urban Martial Saint

Ye Qing originally had no hostility toward the South Ridge Sect, however, the fact that the Grand Sect Master had actually learned the martial arts of the Demon Sect was exceptionally surprising to Ye Qing.

According to what Ye Qing had heard about the Demon Sect previously, although its martial arts were incredibly powerful, mastering them came at a considerable cost. This cost often required human lives to fulfill. Those who practiced Demon Sect martial arts were bound to harm others, otherwise, it would be impossible to master their martial arts!

This Grand Sect Master, since he practiced Demon Sect martial arts, certainly had many innocent lives on his hands, which was the main reason why Ye Qing developed a desire to kill him.

”You think you can be flawless, unknowingly, there’s always a sky beyond the sky and people beyond people!” Ye Qing strode toward the Grand Sect Master, sending a power-packed punch straight toward his chest.

The Grand Sect Master, suffering from significant internal injuries, was somewhat handicapped in his movements. Seeing Ye Qing charge at him, he hastily pushed the Third Sect Master away and tried to roll away to dodge Ye Qing’s attack.

”Where do you think you’re going?” Ye Qing coldly shouted, grabbing the Grand Sect Master’s collar and lifting him up. The Grand Sect Master attempted a counterattack, only to have it effortlessly deflected by Ye Qing.

The Grand Sect Master, severely injured, had only about thirty percent of his inner strength left, far from being a match for Ye Qing. Held by Ye Qing, he was nearly despondent, as he helplessly watched Ye Qing’s palm descend, with an inexplicable hint of desolation on his face.

In that moment, Ye Qing was somewhat taken aback, unsure why the Grand Sect Master bore such an expression. He had seen many ferocious villains who remained fiercely angry upon death, yet the Grand Sect Master was entirely different. What was the reason?

In a moment of hesitation, Ye Qing’s speed slowed somewhat. The Third Sect Master did not understand the situation and nearly screamed out hoarsely, ”Ye! If you dare harm my elder brother, damn it, I’ll fight you to the death! I can’t match you, but I’ll slaughter everyone around you, none will be spared!”

Ye Qing frowned immediately; the words of the Third Sect Master aroused his anger. He accelerated his speed, not aiming at the Grand Sect Master’s Heavenly Spirit Cover, but instead targeting his acupoints to abolish his Demon Skill.

Yet, at this moment, Ye Qing’s True Qi suddenly experienced a slight fluctuation. He clearly sensed a force of Vigor Power attacking him from the side. Strangely, Ye Qing saw nothing at all. How did this Vigor Power come about?

Ye Qing had no time to deliberate as his inner strength, which never made mistakes, indicated danger. He quickly halted his hand, took a step back, and felt the force slashing toward his wrist. Ye Qing was forced to release his grip, letting the Grand Sect Master go.

Just then, a man appeared at the previous location. With a narrow knife in hand, he swung down at the spot where Ye Qing’s wrist used to be. It could be said that if Ye Qing had hesitated for half a second longer, this knife would have severed his wrist!

Ye Qing was stunned; this man was the very same who spoke to the Grand Sect Master when they first entered. His Chinese was not very fluent. Unexpectedly, he also knew martial arts, and his skills were so peculiar.

Ye Qing saw clearly just now, the man had appeared almost out of thin air, the previous distance seeming as if he were invisible. Ye Qing hadn’t seen anything before, and had it not been for sensing the power fluctuation and dodging in time, this attack would have cost him dearly.

While Ye Qing was taken aback, the man had already grabbed the Grand Sect Master and retreated swiftly. Ye Qing wanted to give chase, but it was already too late!

”This is Japan’s Ninjutsu!” Ye Qing remarked with a deep chill, ”You are Japanese!”

The man did not reply, holding the Grand Sect Master, making a casual jump, and vanished from sight. When he appeared again, he was already over ten meters away. The situation was the very same as the masked man in black that Huangfu Ziyu had encountered earlier. This was the very Ninjutsu of Japan!

As the Grand Sect Master was taken away, the Third Sect Master was also taken by a Japanese person. The escape incident mirrored the previous one!

”The South Ridge Sect has colluded with the Japanese!” Ye Qing shouted angrily, ”Hmph, even if you manage to escape from here, the heroes under heaven will not let your South Ridge Sect go!”

Helian Tiehua had mentioned that the Japanese harbored malicious intents and were always scheming against Huaxia. The last time with the Sun Shooting Bow, the Japanese were involved. Their intents were unclear. This time, the South Ridge Sect also had ties with the Japanese. It seems the funds to acquire famed instruments might be from the Japanese.

Could it be that those truly plotting against Guiguzi’s Great Tomb are the Japanese?

Ye Qing was filled with doubt, but just now during the confrontation, almost everyone in the secret chamber had already run away. Now that the Grand Sect Master and the Third Sect Master were taken away, Ye Qing was left alone in the secret chamber. Even Handsome Fatty Wang and others had retreated to the corridor due to the fighting.

”Hey, Young Ye!” Handsome Fatty Wang, hearing no more noise, timidly poked his fat head from the corridor and asked in a low voice, ”Is it over? Did you win or lose?”

”Nonsense!” Ye Qing glared at him in annoyance, this damned fatty seemed rather leisurely.

”What do you mean nonsense? Where are the people of the South Ridge Sect?” Handsome Fatty Wang asked.

”All dead!” Ye Qing replied and started walking ahead.

”Hey, where are you going?” Handsome Fatty Wang asked hurriedly.

”Going out!” Ye Qing said.

”Wait for me!” Handsome Fatty Wang quickly gathered his little friends and ran out following Ye Qing closely, not daring to step away. With the situation tonight, they couldn’t handle it by themselves; it was safer to stick with Ye Qing.

Walking along the path out of the cave, they reached the edge of a cliff. Seeing the steep cliff wall, Handsome Fatty Wang and the others were dumbfounded again.

”How are we supposed to get across this?” Handsome Fatty Wang stared at Ye Qing in astonishment.

Ye Qing walked to the cliff edge, grabbed a vine, and found it quite sturdy. Climbing up along the vines seemed like a feasible option.

”Climb up!” Ye Qing grabbed a vine first, using his strength to climb quickly.

Seeing Ye Qing, the others hurriedly followed suit, each grabbing a vine and starting to climb up.

Ye Qing was the fastest; in no time, he had climbed the thirty-meter height and reached the top of the cliff. Behind him, Handsome Fatty Wang and the others were still struggling with the climb; this distance was not so easy for them.

Ye Qing didn’t have time to wait for them. As soon as he reached the top, he rushed toward the small forest nearby. Huangfu Ziyu was supposed to be guarding here, but there had been no signs of movement earlier, and Ye Qing wasn’t sure what had happened to her.

Although Huangfu Ziyu had the Sun Shooting Bow and was stronger than Ye Qing, the situation with the South Ridge Sect was different; the Grand Sect Master had learned Demon Sect martial arts, which were quite strange. Plus, there were those Japanese here; if they decided to ambush, it could be dangerous.

Running into the small forest, he didn’t see Huangfu Ziyu, but there were signs of a fight. Ye Qing was startled. If Huangfu Ziyu wasn’t here, where had she gone?

Just then, a faint swishing sound reached his ears. Ye Qing’s heart skipped a beat. Wasn’t this the sound of the air arrows from Huangfu Ziyu’s Sun Shooting Bow?

Ye Qing quickly turned and ran toward the direction of the sound. After running for two miles, he finally saw Huangfu Ziyu from a distance. She was floating in the air, holding the Sun Shooting Bow, shooting arrow after arrow into the small forest below. The sound of the air arrows had come from here.

”Ziyu!” Ye Qing shouted, ”What’s happening?”

”You made it out!” Huangfu Ziyu sighed with relief upon seeing Ye Qing and said, ”Seven people just attacked me, and they were quite strong. The worst part was that they managed to set up the Sha Men’s Seven Kills Formation!”

”What?!” Ye Qing exclaimed. Wasn’t the Seven Kills Formation unique to Sha Men? Could the people from the South Ridge Sect possibly know it too?

”These seven people were all top-level masters, the power of their Seven Kills Formation much stronger than Sha Men’s. I couldn’t break through their defenses,” Huangfu Ziyu said. ”But then they suddenly left, and I chased them here. How about you, Ye Qing? Are you alright?”

”I’m fine!” Ye Qing nodded, glancing at the forest ahead, frowning slightly. ”It might have been the seven sect leaders from the South Ridge Sect. Ziyu, keep watch from above while I go in and take a look!”

”Alright!” Huangfu Ziyu bent her Sun Shooting Bow, keeping a close watch on the forest, ready to shoot without hesitation if anyone appeared!

Ye Qing walked cautiously into the forest, using the cultivation technique of that monk to gather inner strength while looking for the people from the South Ridge Sect. However, after circling the forest, he found no one.

”They’re not here?” Ye Qing asked, puzzled, as he turned to Huangfu Ziyu.

”Really?” Huangfu Ziyu was also astonished. ”They went into the forest just now. I was watching from the sky; none of them came out. How could they not be inside?”

”It’s hard to say; maybe they have some secret passage to escape!” Ye Qing said in a deep voice. ”The people from the South Ridge Sect learned Demon Sect martial arts and are connected with the Japanese, acting quite mysteriously. It seems they might be plotting something significant!”

Huangfu Ziyu landed from the air, frowning slightly as she spoke in a serious tone, ”The people from the South Ridge Sect collaborating with the Japanese? The Japanese have always harbored ambitions to invade Huaxia, an enemy of our nation. The actions of the South Ridge Sect are truly treacherous!”
