Urban Martial Saint

Outside, Ye Qing had listened long enough to finally grasp the situation. It seemed that the South Ridge Sect had definitely stored all the famed instruments they had collected into some kind of secret warehouse. And the person guarding this secret warehouse was the Second Sect Leader inside. Judging by these people’s expressions, the Second Sect Leader was quite powerful. With her guarding, everyone was at ease.

Ye Qing initially came to explore the South Ridge Sect’s secrets. If possible, obtaining some famed instruments from the sect would be even better. He hadn’t expected to uncover such a big secret related to the Tomb of the Ghost Valley Master!

What kind of person was Guiguzi, who was hailed as the sole Great Saint of the Taoist Sect over the millennia? The Heaven Earth Man Three Gates he left behind dominated the winds and clouds of Huaxia for thousands of years. For thousands of years, countless people risked their lives for these gates. Countless descendants lived under Guiguzi’s influence!

Such a top-level figure and his great tomb—who knew what earth-shattering secrets might be hidden inside? Perhaps there was a method to extend life from the Taoist Sect hidden within, something many would risk their lives to obtain. Moreover, the information Ye Qing received indicated a big secret about the Heaven Earth Man Three Gates was hidden inside, enough in itself to draw countless people to fight for it.

Now, Ye Qing held the Gold Silk Armor, said to be able to locate Guiguzi’s tomb. And the South Ridge Sect had a way to open the tomb, naturally making Ye Qing’s heart race.

If he could open Guiguzi’s tomb, what other earth-shattering secrets might be inside? Despite not harboring any ambition, curiosity still urged Ye Qing to want to personally visit the tomb and see what astonishing secrets the Taoist Great Saint had left!

Inside, a few more meaningless words were spoken among the sect leaders, and finally, the Third Sect Master assigned the task of searching for Ye Qing to two of them. The sect leaders dispersed, leaving two to guard the villa while the others went about their own business.

Watching these people leave, Ye Qing hurriedly vaulted over the wall to follow them out. However, once the sect leaders were outside, they scattered, so Ye Qing couldn’t follow each one. He eventually decided to track the Seventh Sect Leader.

The Seventh Sect Leader was now tasked with guarding Handsome Fatty Wang, preventing him from slipping away. Thus, following him would certainly lead Ye Qing to Handsome Fatty Wang.

The Seventh Sect Leader was also considered a top-level master. However, compared to Ye Qing, he was far inferior. As he got in his car, Ye Qing slipped to the back of the car, unnoticed by the Seventh Sect Leader, and followed him to his home.

The Seventh Sect Leader resided in a villa in the outskirts of the city. Once Ye Qing reached the villa, he quickly snuck inside ahead of time.

Before long, the Seventh Sect Leader returned to the villa. Ye Qing hid outside the living room, watching him walk back, where two people immediately came up to greet him.

”Big brother, what’s the matter that prompted you to go out in the middle of the night?” one man asked softly.

The Seventh Sect Leader waved dismissively, not answering the man’s question, only saying gravely, ”How’s that fatty doing?”

The man immediately replied, ”Hao Wu has already found him. He’s now secretly monitoring him with a few others. As soon as you give the command, we can bring him back at any time!”

Outside, Ye Qing perked up upon hearing this. It seemed Hao Wu was monitoring Handsome Fatty Wang. Finding Handsome Fatty Wang might be difficult, but locating Hao Wu shouldn’t be as hard.

”Don’t alert the snake in the grass; just keep an eye on him and don’t let him escape!” The Seventh Sect Leader leaned back on the sofa, saying, ”Don’t make a move unless you see the item!”

Having said that, the Seventh Sect Leader went inside to rest. Ye Qing lingered awhile, seeing there was no more to gain, he quietly slipped out of the villa.

Tonight, Ye Qing only intended to casually probe the South Ridge Sect’s secrets. He thought if he obtained a few famed instruments, it would already be lucky. Unexpectedly, he uncovered such a huge secret pertaining to the Tomb of the Ghost Valley Master.

Leaving the villa, Ye Qing contacted Huangfu Ziyu, reporting his position. Shortly after, Huangfu Ziyu arrived with the monkey to pick Ye Qing up.

It proved wise for Ye Qing to first have sought help from this group led by the monkey after arriving here. At least, this group was familiar with Bei Wu City’s terrain, saving Ye Qing and his companions a lot of trouble.

Getting into the car, Ye Qing directly instructed the monkey to drive to the city center, to where the monkey’s group lived. Once back in the house, Ye Qing knocked the monkey out before relating all he had discovered about the South Ridge Sect to Huangfu Ziyu.

Upon hearing Ye Qing’s words, Huangfu Ziyu was also quite surprised. She knew a bit about the Dragon Blood Wood but wasn’t aware of the developments afterward. Moreover, she hadn’t expected the South Ridge Sect was also aiming at Guiguzi’s tomb.

”This time we really hit the jackpot!” Huangfu Ziyu said, ”Guiguzi was the Taoist Great Saint, leaving the mysterious Heaven Earth Man Three Gates, almost controlling the world’s direction for thousands of years. His tomb likely hides even greater secrets.”

”Opening his tomb isn’t crucial.” Ye Qing said, ”The key is not letting Guiguzi’s tomb fall into the hands of those with malicious intent. I always felt there was something wrong with the people from South Ridge Sect. If they enter Guiguzi’s tomb, heaven knows what might occur in the future!”

”We definitely can’t let them in.” Huangfu Ziyu said, ”After all, we need many famed instruments ourselves, so why don’t we just snatch away all those instruments they’ve collected.”

Huangfu Ziyu spoke, her right hand already pressing on the box of the Sun Shooting Bow on the table, looking ready to just grab it right away.

”We can’t rush this.” Ye Qing quickly stopped Huangfu Ziyu, saying, ”The urgent task right now is to find Handsome Fatty Wang first. He brought so many famed instruments from the Shen Family, and if these were to be snatched by the South Ridge Sect, then our workload would become even greater. The most crucial thing is to retrieve the famed instruments from Handsome Fatty Wang first.”

”That’s true,” Huangfu Ziyu nodded, looking at the monkey beside her who was still unconscious, and said, ”Who knows when their people will find that fat guy. Why don’t we go out and find another group to help us?”

”No need for that, getting too many people involved increases the risk of exposure.” Ye Qing smiled, walked over, and pressed several times on the monkey’s acupoints, and the monkey immediately woke up.

”Big brother, why... why did I fall asleep?” The monkey, still clueless about what was happening, stood up with a face full of confusion.

”Probably because you were tired.” Ye Qing casually brushed it off and asked, ”By the way, do you know someone named Hao Wu?”

”You mean Lord Hao Wu!” the monkey immediately replied, ”Of course, he’s a favored person under the Seventh Sect Leader, controlling a third of the underground market trade. There’s hardly anyone around here who doesn’t know him.”

”It’s great that you know him!” Ye Qing smiled and said, ”Call those brothers of yours and tell them to stop looking for Handsome Fatty Wang. Just find this Hao Wu for me.”

”Huh?” The monkey was stunned, looking at Ye Qing with confusion, and said, ”Big brother, you’re not looking for Handsome Fatty Wang anymore?”

”Why? Is there a problem?” Ye Qing looked at the monkey and said, ”Is finding Hao Wu harder than finding Handsome Fatty Wang?”

”It’s definitely easier to find Hao Wu; too many people know him here in Bei Wu City. But, why exactly are you looking for him?” The monkey’s voice trembled slightly, speaking softly, ”We really can’t afford to provoke the South Ridge Sect. Big brother, you... you’re not really planning to target the South Ridge Sect, are you?”

”You don’t need to worry about my plans, just help me find Hao Wu.” Ye Qing said irritably, ”Find Hao Wu, and I’ll detoxify all of you. If not, you can wait for death!”

Seeing Ye Qing’s expression, the monkey was startled, hurriedly smiling in appeasement, ”No, no, no, big brother, big brother, I’ll find him; I’ll have them go find him right away. Please don’t be angry.”

The monkey dashed out of the room in a hurry, and Ye Qing listened as he made some phone calls outside. After about half an hour, the monkey hurried back.

”Big brother, we’ve found Hao Wu,” the monkey said.

”So quickly?” Ye Qing asked in surprise.

”Big brother, we may not have other skills, but we sure have lots of inside information. Besides, Lord Hao Wu is a well-known figure around here; people recognize him wherever he goes. Finding him is too easy!” the monkey said.

Ye Qing nodded satisfied and said, ”Very well, take me to him!”

”Huh?” The monkey was momentarily stunned and said, ”Big brother, it’s past 1 a.m. now, are we... are we going to find him?”

Ye Qing asked in return, ”Do you want the antidote sooner, or would you rather wait until tomorrow and suffer a painful poison attack before getting cured?”

”Big brother, let’s go then!” The monkey hesitated no more, quickly stepping out the door, ”Big brother, I’ll take you there, it’s not far from here.”

Ye Qing and another followed the monkey to a car, and in less than ten minutes, the monkey stopped the vehicle outside of a courtyard.

”Big brother, Lord Hao Wu is in that courtyard,” the monkey pointed to the gate and whispered, ”But I... I can’t go in there. Lord Hao Wu has a bad temper, if I just walk in there, he’ll kill me for sure!”

”I never intended to have you go in,” Ye Qing replied casually. Staring at the courtyard for a while, he surprisingly noticed a few people lying on the courtyard wall, carefully observing something.

Following their gaze, Ye Qing looked over and spotted a small courtyard not far away. The courtyard was pitch black, and this late at night, it was impossible to see anything clearly from such a distance. However, Ye Qing smiled slightly; it seemed that Handsome Fatty Wang was likely hiding in that courtyard.
