Urban Martial Saint

Ye Qing heard this in the underground tunnel and was the first to make up his mind: this time, come what may, he had to play along with Handsome Fatty Wang again. He wanted Handsome Fatty Wang to understand that you, Grandpa Ye Qing, are the hurdle you can’t overcome in this lifetime!

”If we’re going to flip the South Ridge Sect upside-down, we’ve got to make it out alive first. If we take their stuff, they won’t chase us around the world, will they?”

Handsome Fatty Wang immediately got annoyed and said, ”Hey, with such a small gut, how can you even think of tomb-robbing? You might as well go dig sewage!”

”I’m just considering everyone here. When you do things, you have to think about safety first, right? If we’re all dead, what’s the point of having so much stuff?”

”Exactly, Fatty, isn’t it a bit too bold for us to steal from the South Ridge Sect like this? You know very well the means of those Sect Leaders, don’t you?”

”Ah, you all can rest easy!” Handsome Fatty Wang said, ”With my plan, they wouldn’t even dream of it. By the time we grab the goods and come out, they’ll still be dreaming. At that point, we’ll have more than enough time to leave Bei Wu City. I’ve already connected with friends outside, and once we secure the goods, we’ll immediately head to Nanyang and go abroad. By the time we’re over the Pacific Ocean, the South Ridge Sect would just realize something’s missing. Even if they want to chase us, where would they go? They’ll just have to watch us sunbathe in the Maldives!”

”Really? Fatty, don’t boast carelessly; watch out, you might end up biting your tongue.”

”Fatty, you’re full of it. Let’s not even talk about how you plan to steal from the South Ridge Sect. If you can find where they hide the stuff, I’d bow down to you. Everyone in our line knows that the South Ridge Sect collected many Famed Instruments over the years, but no one knows where they hide them. We can’t steal if we don’t even know the location.”

”Such valuable things as Famed Instruments are surely well hidden, probably with heavy guards. If we go to steal, it’s like walking into death!”

Everyone was chattering, grumbling about how unreliable Handsome Fatty Wang was. However, amidst their chatter, Ye Qing began to understand what exactly they were planning to do.

Handsome Fatty Wang actually plans to steal the South Ridge Sect’s Famed Instruments?

Ye Qing didn’t even know how to roast this dead fatty anymore, he could only silently give a thumbs-up. This guy’s guts are damn big; he really dares to think, really dares to do!

”You guys, didn’t I say your IQs are lacking? If I, Fat Lord, didn’t have absolute confidence, would I have asked you to join? Let me tell you, I’ve already discovered where the South Ridge Sect hides their Famed Instruments!” Handsome Fatty Wang said.

”Huh?” Everyone was stunned, then someone exclaimed, ”How did you find it? No way, Fatty, you’re pulling our leg, right?”

”Nonsense, would I lie to you about something so trivial?” Handsome Fatty Wang curled his lip and said, ”To be honest, I’ve been in Bei Wu City for a few days now. However, during those days, I didn’t act; I was busy selling Famed Instruments.”

”Selling Famed Instruments?” The crowd was puzzled, unsure what Handsome Fatty Wang meant.

Ye Qing’s heart skipped a beat. It seemed likely that the Famed Instruments circulating on the market must have been moved by Handsome Fatty Wang. This guy, what on earth was he up to? Stealing the Shen Family’s Famed Instruments, selling them in Bei Wu City, and now saying he’s going to steal the South Ridge Sect’s Famed Instruments—what kind of mischief was he up to?

”Exactly, selling Famed Instruments!” Handsome Fatty Wang replied.

”Damn, in Bei Wu City, selling such Famed Instruments, aren’t they just getting scooped up by the South Ridge Sect? Someone said, ”The South Ridge Sect people push prices really low. You’re asking to suffer, just handing them the Famed Instruments!”

”You’re absolutely right; I am intentionally handing Famed Instruments to the South Ridge Sect,” Handsome Fatty Wang chuckled mischievously.

”Are you insane? Why the hell would you intentionally give Famed Instruments to the South Ridge Sect?” someone asked.

”It’s called casting a brick to attract jade,” Handsome Fatty Wang replied. ”Let me put it this way: once the South Ridge Sect gets these Famed Instruments, what do you think they’ll do?”

”What do you mean?” Everyone was bewildered, unsure what Handsome Fatty Wang was getting at.

”Once the South Ridge Sect gets hold of the Famed Instruments, the first thing they’d do is hide them, wouldn’t they?” Handsome Fatty Wang explained.

”No kidding, that doesn’t need saying, it’s obvious.

”Exactly!” Handsome Fatty Wang said, ”I’ve placed tracking devices on each Famed Instrument. Wherever the South Ridge Sect hides them, I’ll easily locate them!”

At those words, the entire crowd erupted in chaos, and Ye Qing, hidden below, felt a jolt in his heart. At that moment, he had to admit, while the fatty was cunning, this method was really quite clever. Attaching tracking devices to the Famed Instruments allowed them to easily find where the South Ridge Sect hid their treasures!

”If the South Ridge Sect buys these famed instruments, and casually studies them, they will definitely send them immediately to the place they store their famed instruments and hide them well.” Handsome Fatty Wang said, ”By doing this, I will be able to find the place where they store famed instruments. I have already pinpointed the location, it’s thirty miles south of the city, at the Great Xiao Mountain, where the South Ridge Sect has a secret warehouse!”

”Secret warehouse!” Ye Qing’s heart skipped a beat; it seems Handsome Fatty Wang really found the place where the South Ridge Sect hides their famed instruments. He had heard the sect leaders from the South Ridge Sect talk about this before, they did mention this secret warehouse.

”Damn, you really found it!” The others suddenly became excited.

”How many famed instruments are there inside?”

”How could there be few? The South Ridge Sect has been buying them for so many years, acquiring at least twenty each year. Now, calculating it, there should be at least one hundred or two hundred pieces.”

”Wow, one hundred or two hundred pieces, that’s a huge business. Selling them at low prices, each of us could earn thirty to forty billion.”

”Rich, rich, we’ve hit the jackpot!”

The crowd was extremely excited, arguing and shouting. After their voices subsided, a voice suddenly said, ”Don’t get too excited too soon, finding the warehouse and stealing the stuff are two completely different things. Fatty, the South Ridge Sect is very strong; their secret warehouse must be heavily guarded. Trying to steal from them would be like suicide.”

”Hey, you’re wrong about this.” Handsome Fatty Wang said: ”In fact, there are almost no guards for the South Ridge Sect’s secret warehouse.”

”No way?”

”Hiding so many famed instruments without guards? Fatty, you must be kidding me!”

”Listen to me!” Handsome Fatty Wang said: ”This secret warehouse of the South Ridge Sect is very well-hidden. Even if I tell you it’s on the Great Xiao Mountain, you wouldn’t find the exact location unless you know where to look.”

”Hidden so well?” a man asked curiously: ”But still, you would expect some guards, right? After all, there are so many famed instruments inside.”

Handsome Fatty Wang said: ”A place hidden so well has little significance for guards. Furthermore, the more guards there are, the less secure it becomes. Think about it, with more people, there’s a higher risk of leaking information. It’s impossible for guards to stay there guarding all their lives. It’s better to hide the warehouse so well that no one can find it. That’s the safest way.”

After some silence, someone whispered: ”That makes sense.”

”Nonsense, Fat Lord personally went to see it, could it be fake?” Handsome Fatty Wang said: ”There are probably no more than three guards inside. Plus, we don’t need to alert them for our operation. I’ve mapped out the location for you. If you dig according to my markings, you can enter the secret warehouse from the back. When we’re inside, we just have to move the goods. After we’ve moved everything, the South Ridge Sect members probably won’t even know!”

”Really? Is it that easy?”

”Nonsense, of course it’s not that easy.” Handsome Fatty Wang said: ”I need to stay here to distract the South Ridge Sect people. Right now their attention is all on me, they’ll never suspect we’re stealing from their secret warehouse. Do your job well, follow my map, and by tomorrow night you should have dug into the secret warehouse. When that happens, I’ll slip out to help you, we’ll load everything onto trucks and leave immediately without staying here.”

”Wait, Fatty, you said you were staying here to distract the South Ridge Sect people. What if they suddenly catch you, then what?” one suddenly asked.

”Don’t worry, they won’t catch me before I pull out the Dragon Blood Wood.” Fatty confidently replied.

”Even if they don’t catch you, you staying here, after we complete our operation they’ll surely figure out it was us who stole their stuff. When they hunt us down, won’t we still be in danger?”

Handsome Fatty Wang said: ”You talk as if you’re safe right now. Don’t forget, last time we dug up the Wanyan Family’s ancestral tomb, they are still looking for us everywhere. I’m telling you, we can’t stay in this country anymore. Let’s get the money and go abroad to live carefree. Offending one Wanyan Family or adding one more South Ridge Sect, the result is the same. Do you want to make a fortune and go abroad, or go abroad to beg?”

”Earning a fortune, obviously. Without the money, I’d rather die!”

”Yes, make a fortune, definitely make a fortune!”

”Fatty, don’t you have so many famed instruments on you now, why don’t we sell them and go abroad carefree? Why risk stealing from the South Ridge Sect?”

”Nonsense, can I sell the instruments I have?” Fatty immediately retorted: ”These are from the Xihang Shen Family!”

A man immediately said: ”What’s wrong with Shen Family’s stuff? Since we stole them, we can dispose of them as we like. Anyway, we’re going abroad, stealing from the Shen Family or the South Ridge Sect, what’s the difference? It’s all about selling for money, doesn’t matter whose we sell, right?”
